I have to wear socks too - I think I come from the very sweaty foot family and there is nothing I can do to keep my feet from sticking!

Absolutely. When I read the "rules" I figured they were there for liability reasons. Lawyer says, "Some fool might slip in their socks and sue us. Better not let them use socks... Some crazy person might wear their cleats and ruin the mat and say it doesn't hold up well. No shoes either." Don't eat the mat, or wrap the cord around your neck. Obviously not for use with small children...

it wasn't until this team, that I really understood that sometimes it is better with socks and/or shoes...I just always thought that it was too risky. I now understand the importance of them for some people, but I still like to point out, for those that can do it barefoot, it probably should be done that way.

Oh, I know you weren't being negative in any way. And I was just explaining my reasoning.

I guess I should point out, that it is the owner's choice...lol..I wasn't being mean on that one, just pointing out what I think it would do to the mat. I realize that there are a lot of people, even on this team, that it is much easier to wear socks and/or shoes when doing the various games on Wii.

I wear shoes for the arch support. If it wears out my mat sooner, I'll just buy a new one. At least this way my feet are pain-free the rest of the day...

ETA I wear shoes with my WiiFit too.

I go barefoot---if my feet are sticking too bad, I sometimes use a little baby powder--which is probably as slippery as socks (gotta make sure you don't use very much at all--just a tad to "dry" your feet). I usually don't have the problem too bad/often, though.

The mat does say in it's safety instructions to NOT use anything other than bare feet, though. Otherwise you could either damage/wear the mat faster (with shoes) or slip and fall (with socks).

The only "mat" that is safe to used shoes on, is the metal mats that can be found online. However, I'm not sure if there are metal mats compatible with HP2, since I've heard (from Junica and others here) that the 3rd party mats don't work with it.

I wear socks. My feet stick to the mat otherwise and it annoys me. I guess there is some thought that the socks with the treds on them might be better, but I don't typically slip around much either. Some people wear shoes to give themselves ankle support.

I am still trying to figure out how to play the game! I am curious what people wear on their feet. Do you wear shoes, go barefoot or other?

This is the first list that Lolli wanted us to do on Expert. Pick a difficulty level that you are comfortable with. Maybe try to up the difficulty as the week goes on and as you go put in your observations about the game. Did you do it with jumps? hands? gimmicks?

-The Sign has a large amount of jumps in it on difficult
-Summertime on difficult is harder then the flames lead you to believe
-Yo, Excuse me Miss seems actually a bit easier on difficult then basic.

What have you discovered about the game?
