This one is already on my read/watch list - just waiting to have some time.
I'm looking for my inner athlete, but I'm afraid I may have eaten her. If I'm very quiet I can hear her screams of terror.
My time zone is MDT
Good! It looks good! I am going to add to my must read / see list!
"I never drink....wine." Dracula, 1931
"We all go a little mad, sometimes!"
"I'll get you my pretty, and your little dog too!"
“Do not let your fire go out spark by irreplaceable spark... Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real…. It is possible…. It’s yours. “
Ayn Rand (Atlas Shrugged)
I was really debating this one. I think now I'll give it a try. Thanks!

I'm going to succeed because I'm crazy enough to think I can!
Alright, I will start this off with a couple disclaimers. I am not a tween (sigh, in my after mid 30's), I never read twilight (but saw the movies) and this movie gets a lot of comparison to other tween/Yong adult books, and I did read this book (just bought the second).
I'll cut to the chase- I really liked this movie. I admit, it didn't follow the book perfectly- and at times felt a little rushed- but I enjoyed it, Basically- an ordinary girl starts having some supernatural premonitions- and then gets introduced to a hidden world full of witches/demons, and demon hunters known as shadow hunters when her mother is kidnapped.
It had some great action scenes, I thought they captured the characters really well- I thought Clary and Jace were great. As for Jocelyn- Cercei from Game of Thrones- managed to be a sympathetic character...though I still thought she looked smug ;) There is a twist, but...if you're like me Wikipedia can clear the whole thing up, and I knew about it walking in. I could see some people being...not thrilled with it or how it went down.
If you need a book to read- pick up this series- I really enjoyed the first, and can't wait to read the second. I also really enjoyed the movie (and hubby enjoyed it too), and hope it makes a profit to make a second movie. I found this movie/book to be nothing like twilight, though the comparisons are made- Clary is really proactive through the whole movie, and is a force on her own. The movie plays up a love triangle- its really not an issue when you see it through the main characters eyes. Its basically one girl's journey to find her mom.
Anyway, it was a good movie, 4 chain saws for me- and a fun movie to watch
