I watched the Apparition this weekend. It starts Ashley Green from Twilight, and, weirdly, Tom Fleton from Harry Potter. Basic plot line is a group of college kids try to make a ghost appear using a lot of instruments/thought, ect. And, as you can imagine, the results are pretty bad as they pull something through.... One of the kids get a new girl friend, and whatever they pulled through is now actively haunting/hunting them.
This movie gets a lot of hate on IMDB, where I went to get some clarification on the ending (I was a little confused by it...maybe it ended twice?) I actually thought some of it was really interesting, and liked the idea of them trying to pull a ghost through. Some of the ghostly effects/what it does, were also kind of cool. I thought it had a pretty tense atmosphere, and felt creepy. It didn't wrap up really well- I would have liked it more... I am not sure, but it just needed to be clearer (I can't explain without spoiling. Its not like Inception, its just..iffy).
In conclusion, I thought it was creepy and sort of enjoyable. Its on Cinemax and available for rental, so it might be worth it if you enjoy ghost stories.
