That is a lot of walking! Do I need to change the goal?

Since we started on Monday, I've exercised 180 minutes and done 40 minutes of strength training. Two days of 10000+ steps in. That's 64 points.

I just realized that I didn't add any nutritional challenges. So, I'm adding getting in 8+ glasses of water (2 points daily) and 5+ freggies daily (2 points daily). Those points are retroactive to Monday when we started!

Looking forward to seeing what outfits everyone earns!

I wear a pedometer daily, I aim for at least a mile to a mile and a half, and the step counter doesn't work right. It is hard for me to calculate the right number of steps. I err on the side of less. I have not been able to make 10000 per day, due to surgeries. My goal is at least 1.25 miles per day.

Today, between work and Christmas shopping I walked 3.5 miles though. Lots of walking. lots and lots.

And, for those who don't exercise regularly, I'll have other health or shopping related challenges. The plan is to make this challenge doable, but ya gotta work at it! Hope it's fun for everryone!

By the way, daily check on is not required. Keep track and log in as time permits!

This looks like a fun challenge. Only issue for me, I don't wear a pedometer anymore. I average 50 minutes of exercise a day, but most of my exercise isn't going to be picked up on a pedometer. I do indoor walking and aerobics DVDs and that doesn't get picked up very well by pedometers. Otherwise this is a very doable challenge.

Oops, I didn't read closely enough. You have it covered for those of us who exercise, even if we don't wear a pedometer.

This team loves fashion, clothes, shopping and getting healthy, right? So our challenge will encompass as many of those things as we can. Basically, you will perform activities to earn points. The points can be redeemed for new (virtual) clothes. The goal is to get a new outfit for a Christmas, Hanukah,, or New Year party. It must, of course, follow the rules! And, if you are really feeling it, you can get multiple outfits!

Points will be earned with activity, drinking your water, getting in your freggies daily, and some bonus fashion challenges thrown in.

Every five minutes of cardio exercise (your choice) is one point. Strength training is one point per five minutes of lifting.

If you wear a pedometer and get in 10,000 steps, that's a bonus five points evey day you do that!

I'll send out challenges to earn additional points throughout the challenge.

A new blouse, shirt, etc. is 50 points.
New slacks, pants, etc. is 75 points.
A new dress is 125 points.
A jacket is 60 points.
Shoes are 150 points.
Jewelry is 25 points per piece (earrings count as one piece).
Lingerie is 40 points per piece.

I would like to start tracking points on Monday, November 26. There will be bonuses for staying within nutritional goals, extra exercises, "shopping" by the rules and doing stuff with the team. I hope everyone can join! And, if anyone has ideas for bonus challenges, please let me know!

Happy Holidays WNTW fans!
