My two little girls motivate me! I want to me around when they *keep fingers crossed* give me grandchildren, I want them to have a role model for healthy, moderate, sane eating and body image, and I want them to be proud of having a fit, active Mama!
And my second is the Great Outdoors itself...I dare anyone to go outside on a beautiful sunny day and not itch to walk, run, bike in the glorious light, or to go to a beautiful mountain/lake/waterfall and not be magnetically pulled to the hiking path!
Dieting is much less natural than being active for me, but the spark community REALLY helps... Two weeks ago I was in an downward spiral eating wise but some of the blogs turned me right around. And now my mantra is "Consistency, not perfection wins the race". to everyone!

What motivates me is thinking of myself healthy and happy when my husband and I start trying for our family. I want to be a healthy inspiration for my children someday. I can already picture us all hiking outdoors, biking, etc.

What motivates me is positive people and myself. I have to be my own motivator even more because I am the only one that can do it for me. I have to use my mind and my strength to tell myself I can do this.
STRENGTH,POWER, ENCOURAGEMENT, WISDOM, IT IS GOD WHO GUIDES ME THROUGH ALL THESE THINGS!!!
Lately, Spark Blogs have been a huge motivator for me. Usually it's one of my friends blogs, but occasionally I'll catch one on the team stream or one that a friend has commented on in the feed. Successes and stumbles both. Encouraging someone who is struggling helps me see my own struggles in a different way - it also help to know that I'm not the only one. And seeing other's succeed reminds that it is possible, I can do it! That positive energy is so contagious too!

It's cool that at 47 I'm the oldest 'girl' on the community softball team, and can out-play most of them.
It's cool that when the cycle instructor of our gym left, they asked me to take her place.
It's cool that exercise has become fun.
I was motivated when my Doc said "loose weight or take high blood pressure medicine for the rest of your life". So I lost 20 pounds, and started to feel good. So I lost some more, and had more energy than the younger generation. Now I'm tightening and toning that final bit. I feel great and am wearing the size I wore in high school....HEY, THAT WAS 30 YEARS AGO!!
