Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't checked in much. I have been dealing with a broken wrist and hate typing with one hand. I'll check back when I get the cast off.

Sorry I have been MIA too! I was at a conference that I ran and also had some unexpected family stuff come up. I also ended up hurting my Achilles and haven't been able to run since I last wrote :( It is my go to so I am trying to figure out some other things to do and fit in my schedule. I am still struggling to get up early to work out at home or go to the gym. I am attending a wedding in a few weeks and that is a lot of motivation for me. I would like to drop some more pounds before it. I hope everyone is doing well and are meeting their goals! My goals for this week: Monday - Ab workout Tuesday - Ab workout / walk Wednesday - Ab workout / get to the gym Thursday - Ab workout / walk Friday - Ab workout / yoga

Hi... I've been MIA the past two weeks. I was at a conference last week and had to bail on the boot camp as well. Then I came home to my husband's sister and her family visiting for Memorial Day weekend. I've pretty much been spinning my wheels since then. I got to go golfing today though, so that felt good. My current goal is to sit down and come up with several simple, healthy 'go to' meal plans to get me through the summer. I'll report back on Sunday night.
Hope everyone is having a great week!!
Jamie :)

Sorry I haven't checked in for a while. Its just hard to check in here as often as I would like.
I've been doing ok on my food choices, but not so great on my excercise. I'm down 13 lbs, despite being lazy, lol. I just try to stay in my food goals and the weight seems to take care of itself. Sometimes I eat bad stuff, but only a little bit. I did quit the bootcamp, its just too overwhelming, plus I'm still nursing and I'm afraid that much intense excercise will affect my milk supply. :(
Jamie, you're doing great. If you didn't like yoga, maybe try pilates instead?
How's everyone's summer going so far?

Monday - Goals met. Tuesday - Goals not met, had an impromptu Assembly Meeting to plan and attend...also decided that I really don't like yoga. I'll modify and make today my rest day and exercise tomorrow instead...planning on 60 minutes of elliptical.
Hope everyone else's week is full of good choices and met goals!!

Hi...just checking in.
I was spot on with my goals on Thursday and Friday and actually lost a pound!! I'm struggling with motivation for zumba this morning because my legs are sore from the Elliptical yesterday, but I am determined to do it. I will rest Sunday and come up with new goals.
KNITTINGREV - Great goals...how did you do with your goals? My husband doesn't appreciate the "small" meals either...he just cooks up a pot of pasta and grates some cheese on it to supplement. :)

Go Jamie Go! You CAN complete these goals for the end of the week!
Jacque - I totally understand being tired after work! I hope you are able to feel that you are back on track. Be kind to yourself!
My goals for the rest of the week are: Thursday (today!) - Run 1 mile Friday - 10 minute spark people workout Saturday - Run 2 miles
I started a meal plan this week and on Tuesday this was my husband's comment on dinner "this is all the meat there is." ;) I thought you all might get a kick out of that.
Hope your weeks are going well!!!

Congrats on the run KNITTINGREV!!!
My husband left yesterday (Sunday) for a training and doesn't come back until Wednesday so at this point I am trying to keep my head above water, and I'm feeling a little bummed out. My eating hasn't been great and I haven't been exercising.
So, here are my goals for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 1.) Log my food EVERY day. 2.) Go to Zumba Toning on Thursday and Saturday 3.) Use the elliptical for 60 minutes on Friday. 4.) Get back to the boot camp goals 5.) Maintain drinking 8 glasses of water every day.
Please feel free to do status checks on me to keep me accountable and on Sunday, I'll give a final report and post new goals.
If anyone else wants to post their goals, I'll check in on you too.
Thanks in advance for your support :)

The boot camp is going ok. I'm having a hard time doing the excercise because I'm so tired. It doesn't help that we had a ton of stuff planned last week after work. This momma needs a break! Hoping to get back on track this week. I have been dieting and sticking to it, so that's a plus!
Congrats on running the whole mile, KNITTINGREV!

Sorry for the delay in reply! I ran and was able to run (without walking) for the whole mile. I was so excited and felt great!

It's going great. I just started week two. It is absolutely keeping me accountable and keeping me moving every day. By the end, I hope it will be second nature for me to get moving every day.
Way to go getting up and doing yoga KNITTINGREV, what did you do today?

I am trying to leave the excuses by the door and get up every morning and do some kind of exercise. This morning I did it! I got up early and did 10 minutes of yoga. I am hoping to keep this practice up. It was a nice way to start the day. I also want to make a plan or running/cross training. It may be time to register for a run so that I have something to look forward to.

Bootcamp is going great!! I love the 10 minute videos. You're way to busy if you can't carve 10 minutes out. I am having troubles with the 30 minutes of cardio 5x a week though. I do zumba 3 times a week, but the other two days I feel like I need to do the 30 minutes consecutively rather than 10 minutes three times a day. Just a mental block...I'll figure something out.
What is everyone else doing?

Hello all! My name is Lindsay and I also have a 7 month old son. I am striving to get rid of the baby weight. Currently I am a size 16 and want to get back down to a size 12. I have not weighed myself in awhile and need a battery for my scale so at this point I am going by dress sizes. I am trying to workout a few times a week and want to start a good diet plan. I was a runner (trying to get back into it slowly) but am finding it hard to find time to workout with being a mom and working full time. I need lots of motivation!!! I am thankful that we can encourage one another.

Hello ladies! I'm Jacque and I have a 7 month son. I was 182 before getting pregnant and am now 184, so mostly I need to lose the weight I've gained over the last 10 years. My target weight is 135. I also just started the boot camp! I'm definitely looking forward to having you ladies doing the same thing as me and encouraging each other!
Rockinsp, I would say not to worry about the weight either, I agree it is probably water weight. Are you following a diet or just eating healthier?

Hi... I'm Jamie. I have a 4 year old girl and a 10 month old boy. My son started sleeping through the night about a month ago and that was when I said that I'd start getting back to losing the rest of the baby weight. Here I am. Looking forward to getting to know my new buddy support team :) I just joined the spring into fitness bootcamp today and am looking forward to that as well. Only a 10 minute per day commitment...I can do this!! Feel free to join me!! I should also add that AKJamie will not be joining us...that is my old profile. I started back on SP after a two year hiatus and initially came back with my old profile but it was too hard to change everything and wanted to go through the phases again, so deleted it after doing a bit of updating.
ROCKINSP, don't worry about gaining the lb. It is likely just water weight. Be sure to drink your 8 glasses of water every day. The most important thing to always remember is if you are starving your body, it won't let go of the weight, so definitely eat the recommended calories. Track your food, drink your water and exercise most days and you'll do great!!

i guess ill start; im sarah and in some real need of motivation, encouraging words, etc etc etc. I want so badly to lose the rest of my baby weight from two years ago and to eat healthier but i have never had to diet or work out in my life. i will be the first to say i have no idea what im doing. i tried to eat healthy yesterday and felt like i basically starved myself, and gained a lb! i was devastated. i hope everyone on this team i can talk to and become motivation for as much as i myself need it!
