The race was good. I was shooting for 2:11, but I finished in 2:15. I went out too fast, so I died at the end. Felt good to do it though! I'm going to back off for a couple weeks and stick to short runs to let my body recover and then try to figure out a good maintenance schedule til I start training for the next one.

I'll do whatever July chalenge there is....I don't need a special one. Doing the videos for different body parts sounds like a good idea, thanks!

LUVMYBABY13 - How did your race go this weekend?
I have been doing well at exercising at least the 10 minutes each day. I have been following the spark people 28 day challenge and doing the 10 minute bootcamp videos plus usually walking or something in addition to those videos. If you are looking to exercise other parts of your body, you might want to check out these videos as they focus on a different part of your body each day.
As far as July challenges I was thinking about possibly just offering this same challenge again and then I could also offer a Jillian challenge if you would be interested in doing a Jillian challenge. I probably would not join the Jillian challenge, but maybe some other Mom's might be interested.

TLWARE9 - I'm sure lots of people would agree that they enjoy other workouts more than Jillian workouts....its a bit too specific anyhow. If we do the same challenge in July, I will try harder to keep up with it. After my race this weekend, I'm really going to try and focus on cross training for at least the next month. All of my non-running muscles have been neglected lately. :) And I have about 10 more pounds that I want to lose....mostly in my belly.

Good job on exercising every day...that's awesome!!!

MOMIN09 - congrats on your 10K. Glad you were able to do that.

LUVMYBABY13 - good job on your marathon training. That is great that you are going to do a marathon. Just keep trying on exercising everyday and then eventually maybe you will be exercising more days of the week.

I have been faithful at exercising each day this month though the last 2 days I have not felt like exercising. I basically only did the minimum of 10 minutes each day, but I guess it was better than not doing anything.

I have not thought much about a July challenge. We could repeat this challenge and see if we get some more people interested or we could possibly do a Jillian challenge. I have the 30 day shred video myself, but honestly I think I only did the video once. I attempted to do the video upstairs while people were sleeping downstairs and I figured doing jumping jacks and stuff above people who were sleeping was not a good idea. I never tried the video again. I think more because I found it to be pretty hard. I much prefer my walk away the pounds videos, but I know the Jillian video would probably be better for me. That is an idea for a challenge we will have to think about.

Well, the good news is - my half marathon training is going great! I did my last pre-race long run this past Saturday, 12miles in just under 2hours. So I'm excited for the race on the 24th. The bad news is - I really just suck at exercising everyday, so I've done no good on this months challenge at all. Glad to hear its going well for some people tho!

MOMIN09 - Congrats on your 10K! Sounds like it went well!

Any chance there's going to be a similar challenge in July? I think after my race, I'm going to focus on some crosstraining....maybe do one of those 30 day Jillian videos. Hmmm....maybe we should have a Jillian challenge and do it together....

I did my 10K today. It was really hot out. I did most of it walking, but jogged some of it. I finished in 1:24.

The has been and extremely busy week and last week was no exception! I haven't gotten any strength training in and hardly any exercise. I ate donuts this last weekend when my husbands family was in town, although my eating is doing much better now and...................I dropped 2 lbs. Go figure, I am guessing that it's muscle loss which I am not thrilled about in the least. I did get a new kitchen table with counter height table/chairs, so now when I work I put my feet on the chair bars and fidget. Perhaps I've worked off a ton of extra calories fidgeting? Who knows, but I need to get back to doing some strength training videos and STAT!

Starting weight 216; Pregnant in June/2010; diagnosed w/gestational diabetes Oct/2010; weight after birth in Feb/2011... 182; back up to 206.8 Sept/2011; Now...losing steadily because I'm commited to a healthy lifestyle!

I've been having troubles this week getting my workouts in. I know that I'll be getting quite a few minutes in on Saturday because I'm doing a 10K. Won't be running the whole thing but will run as much as I can.

Hi MOMIN09 & LUVMYBABY13, how are you guys doing with the challenge? You both mentioned you were behind on the challenge. Just keep going even if you were behind. Sounds like you both do a lot of exercise at one time which is great! I have actually been able to be consistent so far in this challenge. I am trying to do the spark people 28 day challenge again. I forgot how hard some of those 10 minute video's can be.
LUVMYBABY13 that is very impressive that you ran 8 miles on Saturday. I have no desire to run especially that far, though I probably should give it a try sometime. I usually just walk and probably not fast enough. I am glad your husband is done with his time away for the military, though it is great that he was willing to serve and you made the sacrifice of him being gone for so long. It would be really hard to have your husband gone for such a long time.
Well I hope everyone who is in this challenge keeps going. Even if you miss a day just try to start again the next day and lets see how many days of exercise we can get in a row.

I'm already behind as well. Hadn't gotten anything in until today. Hoping to start a long streak.j
Did 55 minutes on my treadmill. First day back to running after my bronchitis and wasn't able to do as much as I was doing before the bronchitis.

Well, I'm already behind on this one....but its a new day and I will start again. I ran 8 miles on Saturday, so I feel really good about that, but, like I said, my problem is that I don't do anything on my non-running days. And I always forget to log on here over the weekend...but I will get better.

TLWARE9 - I just have my one baby boy so far. I have plans to have more, but losing all the weight is one of my goals before getting preggo again. And hubby, thankfully, is home for good. He got out of the army after his last tour. He travels sometimes for his job now (and I still complain about it), but a couple weeks here and there will never compare to the 13-15 months for a deployment.

I logged in each day since June 1st and I have exercised each day. I did have to do 2 of the bootcamp video's for the official spark people challenge today because yesterday I did not have internet access. Not having internet is a pain when you are used to it being available.

Lisak157 I hope this challenge does help you to be accountable and helps you get in a little exercise each day.

Hi! Thanks for setting up this challenge! I got eliminated from the biggest loser challenge a few weeks ago and haven't really been on here much since then....and haven't really lost any weight since then either. I'm about 3 pounds away from my pre-baby weight (I gained 61 when I was preggo) and then have about 10 more pounds that I'd like to lose past that (I call it my Hubby-Came-Home-From-Iraq-and-We-Celebrate
d-Too-Much weight). I'm also just a few weeks away from my first post-baby (he's 7 months old) half marathon...so I run a ton 3 days/week, but I don't really do anything in between. Hopefully this challenge will motivate me to get moving every day. :)
