@DROUTT13 good luck on your 5K program! My husband is doing Couch to 5K. I wish I could I tried last year and I get shin splints EVERY time I try. Regardless of how much stretching I do and heat and ice, I still get them. :( I', with you on the 200 mark. One day, soon I hope, I will be under 200 again.

Good morning everyone!

Hope everyone had a good week! I lost a pound this morning... I was hoping for more, but it's 1 pound closer to getting under that 200 mark. I've got quite a bit of work to do today, but I will be getting in my Walk/Run today for the 5K Your Way program.

My foot was really hurting after my workout on Tuesday, so I decided that the best thing for me yesterday was to rest it. Which was a good thing because my usual routine was all screwy yesterday. I went to the hospital to meet my new niece and then since it was one exit from my son's daycare (he usually comes home with my sister who works there), I decided just to pick him up. Which meant that the Jillian workout I usually do on Wednesday wouldn't get done until way after he went to bed. By then it's 8:30-8:45, and I really don't feel like doing an hour workout that close to bedtime. I was also sad to see snow in our area so that was kinda depressing. I'm not ready for snow. :(
I'm sure that it's just excuses.

Still sticking with my no excuses workouts! It was hard tonight. I'm tired. Baby still doesn't have a great sleep schedule and this week we started the whole let her cry herself to sleep. Ugh. Well, while hubby was rocking her after she cried-I did some pilates then a butt blasting spark video while I had him do the dishes. He gets whiney but o remind him how much I need this

Starting a new DVD this week...Love Jillian, but just don't have that much time right now! Planning on going to the gym tonight and deciding between the bike or the elliptical...want to get the best workout with a lot of "miles" so thinking best workout is elliptical and miles would be bike...hmmm

Congrats MOMIN09! How exciting!

I did Week 6, Day 1 of the 5K Your Way Rookie Running... knocked it down to only 1 minute of walking in between running this week and it kicked my butt! But, I feel really good after finishing!

I've already gotten my 8 glasses of water in and I have another cup and a half next to me. Just have some strength training to do during the BL tonight!

Week 1, Day 2 of Couch to 5K (2.35 miles in 30 min). Then I did 30 min interval training on the treadmill (2.29 miles in 30 min).
While I was in the shower I got a text that my niece was born. I can't wait to meet her!

Hi Orange team, I just sent out an email, but you can now join the team goal for the week to track your water. I went to bed early for me last night and did not get this done until today. I am lacking motivation to eat right and exercise for some reason. Hopefully I can make myself exercise sometime this evening. Right now I am feeling cold and hot chocolate is sounding really good. Anyway, other than that I have lots of laundry to try and get done and the dishes to work on.

I definitely meant to say in my last post that I finished week 5, not week 4!

Today I plan to begin Week 6 of the 5K Your Way and get some strength training in while watching The Biggest Loser.

Hang in there KARENAKEEN! I can't imagine it being SOOO cold... in November! I think your plan of getting some exercise in every day would really help!

SO glad it's a new day and new week!! I did cardio kickboxing today and told my hubby to make sure I exercise everyday this week without excuses! It's now dark at 4p when I leave work. The high today is supposed to be -2. It's really messing with me emotionally. I'm trying to continue exercising everyday in hopes everything else will fall into place

Hi everyone!

I'm doing better this week! I got a 53 minute walk/run in today and finished Week 4 of the 5K Your Way Rookie Running program yesterday (I let myself fall behind on that last week too). We had quite a few festivities this past weekend so I haven't been eating so hot though... Lots of salt and it showed on the scale this morning! But I'm making it a point to drink tons of water and am confident it won't show up on the scale at this week's weigh in.

Hey everyone... my internet has been come and go all week... It's quite frustrating! I got my walk/run in today, but overall haven't done so hot this week. I didn't lose any more at today's weigh-in, but I didn't gain either... and I still have a 3 pound weight loss for the 2 weeks, so I'm going to get positive again and get my bum in gear next week!

The family all took a walk when I got home from work yesterday. It was nice out and we had a great time. We hoped to go to a big park a couple of miles away, but the road was all closed (including the sidewalk) and we couldn't get there. So we had to go back to the little park at the end of our block. Our son had a great time going down the slides for probably the last time of the season.

Just a quick note: I have been out of pocket this week. I have had a large amount of things happen to me this week. My family is falling apart at the seams right now. I am at a point of having to make major decisions that affect not only myself, but also my children's lives. I don't know what to do, so I apologize for not being as active as i was. I know stress causes me not to eat right now....not a great way to lose any weight, but the burden that I carry right now doesn't let me do otherwise. Please pray for my family. If I make it through eliminations, I will work harder next week!! emoticon

Very productive Friday! Sent Goodies and got a 2 mile run in...1.1 miles away from my 5K, but I want to finish in a certain amount of time and really don't want to settle for less than that...otherwise I would have finished it today. Going to try again tomorrow.

The cable never did get fixed yesterday. The cable company gave us a credit on our account for the 1 day that we didn't have cable. The earliest they could send someone was today between 8-10am. Well, DH plugged our box in again this morning before they were coming, and it all of a sudden is working again. It's actually a good thing that our cable went out though, because I went to the local store to switch out our cable box (to see if this was the problem). While I was there I asked them to change the name on my account (I got married 7 years ago and just never went into the store to get my name changed). She called me a little while later saying she was going to close that account and open a new account with the new name because she could save me $30 a month but for some reason couldn't do that on the old account. I'm all about saving money.
Well, I got my 5K done yesterday afternoon. I finished it in 38:07. I walked 2 min/ran 3 min until I got the 5K done.

Hi Karenakeen, I sure am glad I don't live where you live. I do not like cold weather, which is why I am vacationing in Florida. Even here I was wishing it was warmer half of the time, though it was much warmer than Michigan. I am sad tonight is our last night in the condo and we start making our way back to MI tomorrow. At least looking at the forecast for MI it is supposed to be in the 50's some of next week. I much prefer 80 degrees or so.
As far as exercise, I got some walking in today as we took the kids to lego land, though it was not aerobic walking. Reading about how much some of you exercise makes me realize I should be exercising a lot more. We will see how it goes next week after vacation is over. Have a great Friday everyone.

Did running today. I've been exercising but haven't had the time to come on here and talk about it. I can tell it's getting colder because I'm losing motivation to exercise and I don't feel like cooking-I just want to eat sugars and carbs. The temp was -10 this am and has been below 0 all week. I still pack healthy lunches for work. I'm sticking with that! :) I should start writing what I eat since it's harder to document online. Tomorrow is a new day!!!

Our cable box never did get fixed, so I'm going to have to take the afternoon off to sit on the phone with the cable company and hopefully get it fixed.

Huddled and sent my goodies out this morning.

Yesterday I got a 30 minute Jillian DVD in...was going to go to the gym too, but got busy enjoying the family and figured that was more important.

I had planned on going and doing my 5K this morning at the gym, but my baby didn't sleep well last night, so I am off to bed again now that my oldest is off to school. Sounds sad to go back to bed, but my body is telling me it needs sleep and I have learned to listen to it since starting on here.

Hope everyone has a good day and I do plan to try and make it to the gym later today for my 5K...hoping to stay under 45 minutes for my time...that is the goal anyway!

Got my Jillian workout in today. 76 min and 864 calories. Stayed in my calorie range as well. Right now I'm trying to reboot my cable box but it seems to keep getting frozen. Guessing it's all the rainstorms outside right now.

I got a 72 min Jillian Michaels circuit training done yesterday. Burned 853 calories doing this workout. Had to adjust a few things while doing the exercises, but still had a great workout.

Today's decision...gym or workout video???

I sent out goodies, which I haven't done for awhile, and I plan on trying to get them to everybody everyday for the rest of this week!

We didn't get much trick or treat candy, we started with family stops and my hubby got busy visiting since he hasn't been home and everyone missed him. I am not too worried...less candy in the house! I only had ONE piece of candy yesterday!! I am usually munching all day, but didn't have the urge too, and when I did, I didn't want to because there is not much there.

Off to do something active before the little one wake up!

MOMIN09- you burnt more calories walking with your 2 yr old than sitting. every little bit counts, parking far from store and walking that little extra adds up.

ARYSMOMMY1- everyone has a bad week, just remember once you get on track with eating and exercising you will have more energy and get more done, the hard part is getting there. I have been eating clean for 2 weeks and feel amazing, my food cravings are even gone (it was real tough getting there). I am working midnights and only get to sleep about 4-5 hrs and still have the energy to workout and walk most of my shift at work, which 2 weeks ago was not the case.

I have worked out 37 minutes today and sent goodies

I didn't get a workout done yesterday unless you count walking door to door for trick or treating with my 2 year old. He loved it. People were so generous with the candy and stuff that we had to stop at my parent's house again half way through to empty his bucket and start back out again.

I have not been a good team mate this last week...I am not going to deny it, and I am not going to make any excuses...I am just going to apologize (I'm Sorry) and I am going to work on getting back on track!

This last week has been busy, but I need to find that me time if I want a healthy life, so I guess that was my test and now I know where I really need to work on things!

Hi Orange Team,
Did everyone have a good Halloween? We took our kids to the zoo yesterday and they were having the Zoo Boo, but we were kind of late for the Halloween stuff. We did see the animals and the kids got a couple of little toys before they cleaned up the Halloween stations at the zoo. We did not end up taking the kid trick or treating anywhere since we are on vacation though I kind of wanted to. I wanted to have a place for them to where their costumes too. I may have to put them all in their costumes again just to take some pictures. I got a few at the zoo, but not really any of all the kids together. Well I think I am going to read for awhile before going to bed. I don't take the time to read much while home, but it is nice to have the time on vacation. Have a good Tuesday everyone.

i did my 30 min of exercise and ate well. i almost ate something i shouldn't but i kept my mental image of what i want to look like and it wasn't worth it. gave goodies twice today and huddled. hope everyone doing well today

Hi everyone, once again I have not been posting, nor have I sent out any goodies yet. I hope to send at least a few tonight. Good job to all of you who are sending them. I did take a very long walk today as we are on vacation at Daytona beach, so I took a walk down the strip. It was a real slow walk, but we were walking for about 2 hours. KARENAKEEN- you might have oven done it on dinner but way to go on not letting your back be your excuse and the fact that you are doing what you can.

I exercised and did goodies again today. i might try one more round tonight for a total of 28 today, that way i can do what i can since it's getting real hard to lose anymore weight especially since i am building alot of muscle. i didn't lose anything this week but lost 1/4 of an in off belly so yeah on that. I am still going to try to lose a pound next week.

Congrats DROUTT!!! what an awesome feeling!!! it was my goal to be 220 or less this week, and i'm 221 (i also weighed in today forgetting, but that's ok!)

i went out thursday night for date night. prime rib dinner. yum!! i'm sure i went over. i didn't count my calories. i did bring home a doggie bag as well.

my back is still messed up and i haven't been running. i did do pilates, and at the gym did the bike. i'm hoping today to get on the elliptical. i havne't done the elliptical in so long!! hope my back can take it! now my goal is to get to 219 by next sat!!

Good morning everyone,
I'm getting a late start today. Saturday is usually the day were I exercise in blocks of about 10 -15 minutes so that is what I will be doing today. I will also be sending out sparkgoodies. My children has this event that they will be going to at the YMCA today so this will probably be the only time that I am on here today. Everyone enjoy and congrats DROUTT13 on your success.

DROUTT13 congrats sounds like you are doing great

i haven't lost anything this week. stayed at 1500 calories and did plenty of workouts that burned between 400-550 calories so i think my body in shock from the 3 pounds from last week. still eating clean and sent out goodies today and will probably do again today

Hi everyone! I went ahead and weighed in today so I wouldn't get out of the habit. I lost 3 pounds this week!!!!!! That's the most I've lost in one week, so i'm THRILLED! I've got 4 pounds to go until I'm out of the 200's!!! At one point I didn't think it was possible, but now I am certain that I will be out of the 200's by my birthday at the end of November. Yay!!!!!

I plan to get some sparkgoodies sent today, do Week 4 Day 3 of the 5K Your Way and get some strength training in. I hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hello everyone,

I haven't sent out goodies today or yesterday and I not sure about wednesday. but I am about to do it today. It is just a slow process I guess maybe my computer just load too slowly. I believe I last worked out on Wednesday. When I skip days it seems like I haven't worked out in forever. I will be so upset with myself if I don;t have any weigh loss this week.

Yesterday I had White Castle so I am pretty sure that I over did it.

Today I plan on sending out goodies and walking on the treadmill at least 30 minutes today and completing 2 strength training workouts with Coach Nicloe on SP 28 day Bootcamp. Day 4 which is where I left off at and day 1 because I feel like I need to start over due to me missing a couple of days.

ok ya'll...didn't do any workout yesterday at all!! In fact, I didn't even eat right!! Yesterday was my birthday, and boy did I over do it!! I went to olive garden and had the Mediterranean grilled chicken, which wasn't bad really, 22 fat grams, but had mexican food for lunch, and also had my first martini last night at Olive Garden!! suuuure was good! It was a mango margarita martini....then my husband and I split a slice of lemon creme cake...him eating most...but,
since I had so much rich food yesterday, ended up over the toilet bowl. Have gotten in the habit of not eating that much anymore...so it made me sick!! Isn't that something? Me, not eating that much. Oh and by the way, I did come home with over half my dinner.

My lunch at the mexican food rest was spinach enchilada's charro beans and a salad....but,
I did have soppillia's with that. Let's just say by the end of the day I had consumed over 100 grams of fat. Well, here's to a better day today!!

I still feel full from yesterday! Go figure. I don't think I will show any weight loss due to yesterday....so, here's to a better weigh in next week!!

I am now 41. Can't believe it!! Sure don't feel it. Hope everyone has a fantastic friday!!

didn't workout yesterday since it was my break day but did asylum game day and overtime total of 75 min and i have sent gifts and huddle. i will try to send gifts again tonight. haven't lost weight this week even with the workouts and clean eating, i think my body is at a stop from so much weightloss last week but i will keep at it i have another whole week to try to lose some since we don't weigh in tomorrow

Hi everyone!! I only had time to huddle today and get in my work out. I did Week 4 Day 2 of the 5K Your Way Rookie Running program and went an extra 15 minutes total for warm up/cool down.

I am exhausted! This has been one of those weeks. I hope everyone is having a good week though, tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!!

did asylum strength for 47 min and worked 12 hrs (so some walking and climbing). i have done huddle and goodies and still have been doing clean eating for one and a half weeks and feel great

I messed up my back on sunday. not sure what i did, but i went running instead. Of course all I did was just make it worse. my daughter has also been sick, and I've been sleep deprived. So Monday I did pilates. Yesterday I took a day off, and tonight the hubby should hopefully be back, and I was thinking of doing the bike or the elliptical at the gym to help my back some. Then Friday, doing it again. Maybe doing a pilates video again somewhere in there as well so get my 5 days in!

I walked/ran 4.72 miles yesterday! I also got some strength training in. This morning I made it to the 25 pounds lost milestone!!! Woohoo!

Last night my little one got sick and it made for a very long night. She seems to be feeling better this morning but I went ahead and cancelled all appointments for the day. I plan to rest some after all of the activity yesterday, but hope to get in a short walk and some crunches. I also plan to send some goodies at some point today.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Yesterday I had a limited amount of time that I wanted to spend on the computer and I used it to track my food for the day, send out the spark goodies, and huddle. I was very happy that I didn't go over my calories yesterday even though I didn't track anything until last night! I got in a 39 minute walk yesterday evening too.

Today I am hoping to go for a walk with the hubby and daughter and get in Week 4 Day 1 of the 5K Your Way. I never specified, I'm doing the 8 week rookie version... or some variation of that name. I've got to step it up to running 3 minutes at a time... pray for me! Knowing this was coming I pushed myself during last week's sessions to go 2.5 minutes instead of 2 for part of the time so I could be better prepared.

Well I've got one last kiddo to see today for therapy and I better get going!

emoticon Oh... I do have a quick question though! My birthday is about a month away and I've been thinking of asking for a workout video I could do to get in some workout time when it's just me and my little one. Any suggestions?

I ended up getting 23 min of Wii Fit Rhythm Boxing done last night for a challenge for a different team. So I ended up with more of a workout than I planned.
Can we get an updated list with names? I know we lost 2 people due to not weighing in, but I can't remember which 2.

Yesterday I did 15 min of jogging in place while washing the dishes...got just over 1/2 a mile according to the pedometer! And than I did 20 min of a Jillian DVD...didn't have the strength to finish out the last 15 of that though...

Today I plan on making my way to the gym. My mom is coming over to watch the kids and I have to decide between the bike, elliptical or treadmill...don't know which one yet...I am liking the bike though.

I didn't get much sleep last night...up till midnight with fussy baby, up again at 130 when she woke up again, went back to bed at 330 (after falling asleep while burping her) and than up at 530 to get my oldest ready for school...He is off on the bus now and I am contemplating bed since the other two are still sleeping...

I will huddle and send goodies later today. Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday! BL is on tonight!!!

I keep forgetting to huddle and I can't seem to send goodies from my phone.
Yesterday I went to the gym and today I did a pilates video. I messed up my back somehow yesterday so I'm trying to find easier impact workouts. Hubby should be back thurs and hopefully my back is better by then so I can go back to the gym! Monday is over!!! :)

Hi oranges, sorry I have not posted much. I am not helping out much with that part of our challenge. I am not quite sure what I do with my day, but the days seem to fly by and I don't spend a lot of time on spark people lately. Last week I was preparing for the church garage sale and this week I am trying to pack for vacation. Plus my desktop computer was having major problems. I just restored it to factory defaults and now I have to work on reinstalling the programs that I use. I am not extremely smart with computers so I spent a lot of time fixing that. I did take a 30 minute walk yesterday, but I was walking extremely slow because my 2 year old was riding on his little fire truck, so he is not real fast and always stops to look at things or something. At least it was some exercise. Today, I really did not get any exercise done, though I did work on my devotions which is something else I need to be more consistent at. Wow, I can't believe the week is over already and we are starting a new one! I am going to work my hardest...but I will warn you I will be busy. My hubby comes home in a week and I will be getting things ready for him so he doesn't have to worry about the simple things around the house.

I have huddled already today and I am going to start sending some goodies. My goal for the rest of today is to get at least three goodies sent and to get in a half hour workout...I spent 4 hours in a car today to pick up my oldest from his bio moms house. My body is craving a workout!

Hello Everyone,

Two week challenge, this should be interesting as far as weigh ins. I am trying to send out the Sparkgoodies but I guess I can't if I am not add as one of your spark friends if your profile is set to private. So if I can't be looking for a freind request.

Also as far as exercise today I plan to step it up. I really want to make my first goal of getting down pass 240 seeing that I have two weeks before official weigh in I am really determined to get this done.

Today I will be doing cardio in 15 minute intervals with an incline on the tredmill going up to 10 and the pace from 2.0 - 3.3.

I got sick. Surprisingly I think it's from my family not the kiddos at work! Daughter hasn't been sleeping and I've been way too exhausted to exercise after work :( I actually lost a pound this week! Hopefully this week is better. Short week for me with conferences on thurs and fri so I think I'll drop daughter off for a couple hours at daycare and exercise!! Pumpkin carving tomorrow :)

did asylum this morning. vertical plyo for 38 min. i should get alot of miles today since i have to work midnights so i have till midnight to walk.
I also lost 3.2 pounds this week, i think last week i must have been bloated from period.

Good morning! I lost 1 pound this week. I can't complain with how busy this week was.

Today I plan on making up some lost exercise time: strength training, walk/run for the 5K Your Way, and going on a looong walk once it warms up outside this afternoon. Gotta get my butt in gear this coming week!

I got in 2.11 miles today. Better than nothing! I hope to get in quite a bit more tomorrow.

Hey guys,

Busy week for all of us I see. I haven't worked out much at all if you don't include all the back and forth and running around that I did. I am really scared to get on the scale because I tried to stay within my calorie count, but was just having a bad week maintaining. However I plan to do WAY better next week. I feel so ashamed that I have not reached my first goal of 240 pounds. :( I also reset my sparkpage to so everything over including my weight. Basically I am starting over. Hope everyone else is doing better.

Goal 1 240 lbs= Nails done
Goal 2 220 lbs= hair done professionally
Goal 3 200 lbs= movies and dinner
Goal 4 190 lbs= $50 shopping spree (tennis shoes)
Goal 5 180 lbs= take professional pictures. Ultimate goal so reevaluate weight loss look might want to loose more weight
