I agree! However, I do have parents that don't care. Some parents truly don't teach their child a thing, just because they are disabled. They have no expectations for their child, even though this child could do so much. Many interventions have been tried, with many other professionals, and still no luck. I know this is a rarity, but it's so frustrating. I just needed to vent!

I don't think it's that they don't care at least not all....I certainly care and have kids that think they don't have to behave at times....this is not for lack of home training...Every since I've had my kids I've been teaching them what right/wrong and what's proper/not proper...Short of slapping some since into them I've tried everything and even have them and the family in therapy...I take away things and I punish and read all the books on what can be done to get them to behave and it's not working....Sometimes I just want to give up and that's not because I don't care it's because I just can't think of anything else to do...like today my youngest son got suspended from school for slapping another child....he already have no priviledges no computer no video games and no phone all that been taken away and given away months ago....so I just don't know what else to do at this point but like I tell them they better have a PLAN B when they turn 18 because then my time is over and I don't have to put up with their crap....I only hope by then that they would have learned what I was trying to teach....

I don't understand why parents don't "discipline" or give "consequences" for disrespectful behavior, not following directions, or being inappropriate at school! I have four kids and they all are very different, but we have always expected our kids to be respectful and do "their job" at school.

Can't parents see that they are "harming" their kids and their future possibilities? I guess they don't or in some cases simply don't care.

Thanks for "listening." I'm done venting!! emoticon
