That is so cute! Singing in the bathtub is the best, aren't the acoustics just awesome in there???

I have a saying about whining..."no whining in the kitchen!' And I say it really silly and with a funny face. That gets them laughing and they kind of learn a lesson that way instead of getting scolded. LOL!

You're dance parties sound like a lot of fun! Live, laugh, love!

I love the silly moments. I sing with them in the tub. Like the ABC's with my 2yo so he'll learn them. I used to sing the hokey pokey at bath time while I scrubbed them so they'd learn body parts and left/right. We play silly games my 4yo makes up, like chasing bad guys. Sometimes it's just sitting there pushing cars around and talking. In the car I'll sing and dance with the radio while they yell at me to stop. I love having an impromptu dance party with them (they dance AWESOME!) When they whine or have a fit I stop and ask them "Which way sounds better?" Then I say it once politely, then imitate them with extreme exageration. They laugh, and then say it again right before I'll respond to their request. When my 2yo has a temper tantrum I lay down next to him and do what he's doing. He always ends up laughing at me and it breaks up the fit. Sometimes I'll make breakfast dishes for dinner. Whatever gets them laughing! They are the best things to ever happen to me, and I laugh and act silly more now than I ever remember doing.

I'll never forget doing swimming lessons with my son. We would do the hokey pokey during lessons to try to get them used to the water. I would laugh and just be silly with him doing it. I loved it!

Sometimes, it's great to take a few minutes to just do something silly with the kids...just because. They are the fun times that we will never forget, they are tiny, they are the "precious moments."

Usually it's something unusual or interesting that the kids start up and we join in. Other times we just feel like being silly with our kids.

Yesterday, I was doing dishes after dinner and my 2 year-old son was playing with the tuna cans. I don't know why, but I took a break and sat down on the floor with him. We were rolling the cans back and forth. We also slid them around hockey-puck style. I can't explain it, but it was just a few minutes of something special.

Tell about your special moment or silly times with your little ones!!!
