The first brand I used was Nordic Naturals Omega 3-6-9 Junior, it's the liquid in the bottle. But I couldnt find it in Canada, so I found a similar product here in Ontario called Ascenta Nutra Sea, Balanced EPA & DHA omega-3 supplement, at The Canadian Superstore. You can buy it online or in the health food stores or organic sections of some big chains.
Yes, I started last year giving fish oil in the liquid format to my son who is now 3. He was diagnosed with a speech delay and I did some research and heard that fish oil helps with brain development, speech, eye contact and social interaction. I figured it was worth a try and within a week of using it, he started saying new words! So , I keep giving it to him. It doesn't taste fishy, it comes with a lemon flavor, so I just add 1/2 tsp of liquid to his morning oatmeal, he loves the taste.
Hope this helps, Olivia

I was curious if anyone out there has ever given their child fish oil supplements? I am not a huge supplement fan, but my kids do get a daily multi-vitamin because they are extremely picky eaters. I heard a nutritionist give a speech and she mentioned that fish oil can really help hyper-active kids. Just wondering if anyone has tried it, Thanks!
