I normally don't do challenges but this one intrigues me :) I'm in. My Christmas present to myself is a heartrate monitor. Hopefully I will get a more accurate count of calories burned :) great way to make it a habit to use as well. So excited.

Let’s start the year off right and get rid of some of that excess weight!

One pound is roughly 3500 calories. Let’s see how many calories we can burn together and how many pounds we can lose together in January.

In order to figure out calories burned, input your activity and minutes into the fitness calculators.

Please copy and paste this template into a post. Edit it daily with calories burned. You do NOT have to start a new post daily!

The top 3 calorie torchers at the end of each week get Spark goodies, as do the top 3 calorie burners at the end of the month. (We will also try to acknowledge all participants within reason) Given my life outside of Sparkpeople, lease give me a few days after the end of each 7 day period to tally up the totals. Thanks!
