Mission Accomplished! I tried 2 fitness videos on our newly acquired smart tv. Just getting back into the swing of things after having 2 kids back to back lol.

Next Challenge: Be kind to yourself! Look in the mirror and praise yourself for your accomplishments, whether they are physical (weight loss, toning, having KIDS) or literal (I walked right past that GIANT assortment of pasteries at the office today!). You deserve a word of praise, who better than you to do it.

Mission Accomplished! I walked a mile outside this evening, even though I was already done with my cardio for the day. I took my 5yr old to his TKD class, and I thought instead of sitting through it why not do 2 laps around with the little one and I did!

Next Mission: For anyone out there who is like me, and struggles to get in 8cups of water a day, how about we see if we can do a one week streak of 8cups or more per day?

Not sure if anyone still even checks this threa, but thought I would try to revive it...

Couldn't do the last challenge b/c I am a stay at home mom, so when I am injury free I can pretty much do any video I want. LOVE the 10 minute solutions ones b/c you geta quick and efficient workout in ashort amount of time. And you can do just one at a time or 5 - they're awesome.

Next Mission: Incorporate activity OUTSIDE the next time the weather i nice - instead of walking on a treadmill, walk outside. or play catch with the kids or anything that gets you to move and enjoy the spring.

Mission Accomplished: 3,292 steps this morning already!! My daily goal is 10000 but, I'm and ISD teacher and sitting is my game so getting this many steps this early is an accomplishment!!

Next Mission: Find a video that you can do at work. I'm going to do the Cardio workout from my chair! Probably not the name but you can find it from those words. Good Luck

Mission accomplished - finally! lol. Sadly enough, it took me a week but I managed it yesterday.

Next mission: Move at least a mile today - walk, run, bike - however you want/can. It doesn't have to be extra exercise; it's okay if it's your normal routine.

Mission Accomplished! At physical therapy last night I had the option to go home (which I REALLY wanted to do) or hop on the exercise bike for 10 minutes but I remembered this challenge that hopped on the bike.

Next challenge - Drink your water today! Have a minumum of 8 cups (that's 64 ounces) and if you usually accomplish that, push yourself to drink just a little more than you normally do.

We seem to be at a stand still, lol. Not going over calories for an entire week is hard!

But in the interest of moving things along, let's start smaller and work our way up:

Mission accomplished: I rode a 3 mile bike ride today with 2 kids in a trailer...we went to the park and back. I just bought a bike Saturday and I hadn't ridden in 15 years!

Mission Accomplished! I made myself the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie from the SP Cookbook for breakfast yesterday morning. The flaor was great but it was way too thick following the recipe. Next time I will have to add more vanilla yogurt or a touch of milk or something. But overall it was good!

Next mission: Mix up your activity today. Whatever you had planned - do something different instead! Variety is the spice of life!

Mission Accomplished! Not only did we go out sledding (aka me pushing them down the hill and then pulling them back up) we also play 3-2-1 jump. Yeah, not that I always let them away with it, but daddy does, so I was the fun one for the day, and we jumped off the couch onto the pillows and blanket pile on the floor and then a jump onto mom for tickles and the back to the couch. And no one got hurt.

Next challenge: Try a new workout. Either one you have never done, or break out a workout DVD you haven't done for the past couple months and switch it up.

I'm a little late but am jumping on board. I've been watching what I eat the past three weeks and had success (down 6 lbs) but I know in the long run I'll have more consistent success with tracking so I started tracking my food TODAY. In looking at my community options I decided to reintroduce myself to Parents of Preschoolers. I'm a mom of a 5 year old. My goal is to get healthier and stay healthy for myself and my family. I want my daughter to look at me as a role model in her healthy living quest. Best of luck to everyone this week!

Mission Accomplished: Spent about 20 minutes running around outside with the kids, and then daddy came home and took over. So I got the 15 minutes and sure I burnt more than the extra 50 calories. 1 momma a 2 games of tag (each kid against me on their own lol) yup you get moving.

Had 3 BIG salads this week for dinner (in addition to my regular vegetable consumption). I USED to eat salads for dinner all of the time but kind of got away from it so this week we had a CRAZY schedule with Dr appts. and classes for the kids and instead of doing something easy like hot dogs or something I forced myself to make myself a salad.

Next Mission: Since I can't exercise and I am sooooooo sad about it, please get some extra fitness minutes in today for me, lol. Exercise 15 minutes longer than usual. Or if you have a HRM burn an extra 50 calories doing fitness today.

Mission Accomplished! We had quinoa burgers tonight, only 130 calories per burger!

I will echo the previous next mission since I sort of skipped it, but I wanted to accomplish the new recipe because that isn't something I normally do, and I did it. :)

Next Mission: Eat fresh veggies at least 3 more times a week than normal (if that's not possible....go YOU!)

I need to work off my kids. A toddler and a baby to lose!

DONE: Made a new meal. 1 of the 3 kids liked it but they all ate some part of it. It was a crockpot chicken meal. I can't remember what the name was but it was with frozen chicken breasts and black beans, salsa verde, and sweet corn.

Well, since I looked at the organizing one there is a new challenge that I've already been working on so I can say BOTH are done. I cleaned up the office room which has been a disaster for a while. And yes, the past few days I have cut out coffe, all together, and drank water with Ocean Spray flavoring (Cran-Lemonade, Cran-Grape, etc). Got one headache but I'm doing it!

Next challenge: Focus on Fiber. Look at how much you typically get and make a plan to replace at least one thing with a better, whole-grain option (i.e. bread, crackers, snacks with fiber from whole grains versus enriched bleached flour).

Mission Accomplished!

I got 20 minutes of work with free weights in while watching tv over the lunch hour. I am working from home today and thus, threw some weights around like the old college days. Nice! Why not?

My Challenge: Try cutting the coffee intake in half and replacing with water.

This little adjustment has helped me in more ways than one. In fact, I cannot get over how much better I feel. By the way, I have only lost three pounds thus far, so I strongly believe that the feeling good part has more to do with cutting the caffeine than dropping the poundage, at least for now.

I took on my own challenge and stayed away from coffee all morning yesterday. That was a big one for me as I've gotten into the routine of at least one cup in the AM.

Next challenge: Cut back on one thing that is your vice. If you drink 3 sodas a day, cut back to 2. If you can't keep your hands out of the cookie jar, push yourself to keep them out! Whatever it is, hold back a bit!

Mission Accomplished: Monday (the day I posted the challenge) I gave someone my 15% at Kohls card as I walked out the door.

That recipe is on my to-make list, and soon as well!

Mission Accomplished! Sent the kids down to get daddy up and start a fire. It turns into a 20-30 minute process = me time. I actually got to sit down and enjoy my cup of coffee.

Next Challenge: Do a random act of kindness for someone outside of your family.

Those sound good. I a making something from the cookbook today - Slow cooker Rosemary Chicken breats. Can't wait to try them, It's a great book.

Mission accomplished! Did 25 jumping jackets and I am still in my PJs, lol.

Next challenge - Take 10 minutes today just for you. Do something you love or at the very least do something you need to do that's just for YOU!

Mission Accomplished! I actually made 2 new recipies from the cookbook today for a dinner I made for a friend. Baked Lemon Spiced Rice and Spinach stuffed chicken breast with cheese sauce. Yummy!

Mission accomplished! Visited 3 friends and left them goodies and encouragement.

Mission Accomplished!!! I got in 45 minutes of exercise! 33 minutes on the elliptical and 15 minutes on the treadmill. All starting at 4:30 am! Whew!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

This challenge will solely depend on you and what you are willing to try. Someone will post a very simple challenge (For example: Do 25 jumping jacks). Someone will DO that challenge (please be honest!) and then post “Mission accomplished!” followed by a challenge of their own (ex: No soda today!”) and so on and so forth. We just keep going indefinitely.

I’ll go first:

Get 10 minutes of fitness in today and tell us what you did!
