YUM! I live in Israel and tahini is a huge part of the local diet.

But I have a sort of off-label use for it: Smoothies!

My favorite is:
1 banana
1 Medjool Date
1 T cocoa or carob powder
1-2 T tahini
1 cup water

Blend and drink. Great cravings buster.

Hhhhm, I'll have to try the honey mustard dressing bit. Hubby really likes honey mustard dressing on salads.

Definitely for hummus and dressings, you can also make a dip with it. Same idea as the dressing but maybe less liquid.

It's been a while since we listed ideas for using Tahini. What a good food it is! High in calcium, potassium, iron, manganese and others. My son and I rarely eat dairy but I make tahini a regular part of our daily diet so that we don't miss out on calcium.

So do you use tahini? Give us some ideas of how you use it!

We make hummus,
and use it as a spread in sandwiches, with salad, or honey, or miso, or vegemite.

And to get you started, here's a sparkrecipe for a lovely salad dressing: recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?
