Ive been on lupron and it made weightloss next to impossible. I gained 80lbs on it! Havent been able to lose it since which is why I am again needing help to try and get the weight gone. I personally dont think it was worth it.

She did tell me about addback therapy. I also have endo. I've just worked really hard to take off 30 lbs in the last year and I don't want to gain it back. Nor do I want to take something that could pull my crohn's out of remission.

Sorry, don't have any advice for you. My ob/gyn didn't suggest Lupron for my PCOS, just hormonal birth control, but when we were discussing possible endometriosis she mentioned that the Lupron shuts down the ovaries. Personally, I have had a bad reaction to hormonal birth control so I am very leery of the Lupron and have opted for surgery to determine if I have the endo in the first place. Did she tell you about the addback therapy?

I hope someone else has some advice for you.

My GI can't confirm with the pharmacist the side effects affecting my Crohn's Disease, but my GYN wants me to go on Lupron. I've heard from a ton of women who don't have PCOS that the medication is miserable and horrible. I wanted to hear how effective it is in treating PCOS, the side effects it causes and if it makes it even harder to lose weight.

Any thoughts would be great. Thank you
