I am right there with you. I am 34 and trying to conceive despite my stubborn ovaries as me and my DR like to call them. Are you seeing just an endocrinologist? My DR is a reproductive endocronolgist who specializes in infertility issues such as PCOS. My doctor has been monitoring me pretty frequently throughout this whole process. When I was on the oral meds, I had to go in 1-2 times a month for monitoring. Now that I am on the follistim I am in the office 2-3 times a week as they monitor my hormone levels. It is an emotional rollarcoaster. I am like you ...have my bad days and some days are worse than others. It is so important while going through this to both destress but also to take care of your mind as well as your body. Having someone you can talk to is important as you need to allow yourself to feel what you are feeling but also need the support and be able to let go of it. I think everyone is giving you great advice. Might also consider seeing a reproductive endocrinologist if you aren't already. It has made the world of difference for me and the journey I am on.

I feel for you all and hope you have success. I have had PCOS for years. I was able to get pregnant after trying for 4 years with my son, and then had two more children. Losing a ton of weight really helped me. But...I do remember the desperation those days and the worry. I wish you much success! The advice you got about the stress is huge, my doctor told me to chill out and take a break from timing etc and just go get a glass of wine and have some romance. I know that seems silly, it did to me at the time, but I was pregnant the next month. If you have any type of endometreosis, then having one child seems to make it easier to have more. My advice is to take care of yourself and your body, and that will help your chances tremendously. I never thought it would be possibel with PCOS to have three kids...and here they are. Your sister's success can also give you hope. But remember we are all different...and if children do not come as quickly as you like, it is not your fault, it is just bad luck, so don't beat yourself up about it. You cant control everything and you can't always control PCOS, you just do what you can and that is enough. Good luck!

Thank you to everyone...a baby might be my fail, but my younger sister who also has PCOS found out Monday she is pregnant. So pray for her because her case is worse than mine minus the weight issue, so she has a 60% of losing the baby.

I totally understand. I'm 30, and until recently was not in a relationship. It is definitely very difficult when you start thinking about that clock ticking and then add PCOS. I just hope that this new relationship sticks and that if we do decide to have children, that we'll be able to...

I have told him about the PCOS and he was very understanding, so I suppose that's a good place to start!

My husband and I have been trying for 8 years, so I 100% understand what you are going through. I know it is hard but maybe de-stressing a bit could help? I know stress really affects our bodies differently, so maybe having the panic of wanting to get pregnant so bad is just completely stressing you out therefore messing with your hormones? Just an idea. My fingers are firmly crossed things start getting better soon for you!!!!! AND you ARE NOT a failure, this was something you were born with, you did nothing wrong. I have to tell myself this most days as well!

Check out my blog at findingaskinnierme.blogspot.com/ I write a lot about my experience with PCOS and the obstacles of losing weight!

Love finds us at the strangest times. I didn't find my love till 2007, age 27, so hang in there.
I am down today and just letting myself feel that way. I don't know how else to be right now, I feel like a failure to myself and my husband. I know I'm probably over reacting, it just sucks.

Well, I am so sorry to know these are your circumstances at the moment, I pray things get better for you. I think you still got plenty of time, and though the wait is tedious, i am sure you will get there. Keeping things in perspective though, look at me, 29 and still haven't found the right person to be with to get married and have a family. So I am much muuuuch further away from motherhood and I desire it with all my being.

So, allow yourself to feel down,it is ok... but keep in mind your current blessings...you are not alone.

Got the results of my 6 month blood work from Endocrinologist today...and yup I'm still PCOS and hormones still suck and still not able to have a baby at this point. I'm depressed and I don't know what to do, how to make my body better, I'm trying desperately to lose the weight, I even have a personal trainer now. I just feel so alone and lost right now. I'm 33 and I feel like my time to be a mom is running out.
Does anyone else every feel this way?
