I haven't been officially diagnosed with celiac, but it runs in my family and I've been gluten free for 3 years or so. This made a huge difference in my PCOS! 3 years ago I had an ultrasound that showed enlarged ovaries, with one cyst in particular that they were worried about. After 1.5 years on the GF diet, they repeated the ultrasound and found that my ovaries were significantly smaller, with no cysts!

I'm still battling the hair issues, which I was hoping would stop as well. But I would definitely recommend a GF diet. It gets easier! I don't crave wheat anymore, and I eat healthier overall because I generally avoid refined flours.

I wanted to share with you all that in 2006 I was diagnosed with PCOS and the doctors told me I would not get pregnant naturally ever again. It really bothered me so I started to eat gluten-free after reading some information about PCOS. I became pregnant with my third child naturally RIGHT when I was being screened for IVF. It works, its hard but it can be done!

Good luck and if you are looking for gluten-free bread try Julian Bakery in La Jolla. I order all my gluten-free and sugar-free bread from them.

It's very likely that I do, but I haven't been tested. My grandma is allergic to wheat and sugar, and gets a type of hangover type feeling if she eats any. I've felt a huge improvement in my own feelings when I try to go without for an extended period of time. Currently I'm doing the South Beach Diet to help me stay away from grains as much as I can, but I still let myself have them every now and then. I don't know if I could quit cold turkey, even if I was diagnosed! ;)

Ready to loose the baby weight!

I have a lot of the symptoms as well. I did a lot of reading on it. I thought it would take a lot longer to see an improvement it's nice to see it doesn't take long.

Hi I am still pretty new to SP and pretty early diagnosed with PCOS. I am wondering if anyone has Celiac's disease or any form of gluten intolerance. I have many of the symptoms of a gluten intolerance and have been avoiding gluten, so far my skin is clearing up but, it has only been a week. Does anyone have any personal experience with this they would like to share?
Thanks Bsuzy emoticon
