Everyone's different. I don't do particularly well on low-estrogen because I don't have enough estrogen.
I am on Quasense which is the generic equivalent of Seasonique. I don't ever take the sugar pills, on the advice of my dr, and go directly into the next month of pills.
Before when I was on a monthly pill, every week when I would go off onto sugar pills, my hormones would go nuts. I would gain 5-10 lbs and my acne would go crazy and I'd develop cysts.
For me, this is what has worked. I stopped gaining weight and have been able to start losing.
Sounds like this one doesn't work for you - and I'm sure there is another one that you can find with your dr.
Just be very open about all of your issues--- and educate yourself before you go (which you are doing). If your Dr doesn't seem to get PCOS, they are not the right dr for you.
Best of luck-- I know how frustrating PCOS can be with weight gain!!!
