Hey everyone!! After doing a bunch of searching around on the internet I found a few supplements that seem very helpful and essential to women with PCOS.

The most recent one I read about was Inositol- there are 9 forms of these, but the ones I read the most about as far as aiding PCOS was d-chiro inositol and myo inositol.

I started taking the myo. It's supposed to help with our huge hormonal balance. I have read a few women even losing weight from taking this supplement because their systems are being put back in order basically. So this is one ya'll should check out.

I also came upon a blog that had a post on naturally reversing infertility:
http://wellnessmama.com/1326/how-to-get-
pregnant-naturally/

Step 3 deals with the supplements we should be taking- this would be helpful even for those not wanting to get pregnant. Anything that can balance us out is good for us :) So check that out.

The things I'm currently taking are:
4 inositol in the morning as soon as I wake up
8 maca capsules

A multivitamin, BComplex, Zinc, Vitamin C, Vitamin D

Vitex

And I was taking the Fermented Cod Liver Oil, but ran out and haven't ordered more so need to do that.

I only started the inositol this month, but before that I was taking everything else.
What I noticed was that I got my period last month and it lasted for about 8 days - mostly a light flow. I read the vitex can have this effect while it's regulating you.

I believe I've been on this regiment since around March or April, and I have skipped some days with some of the supplements. I am trying to be diligent with them to make sure I give them a chance to work their "magic" :)

I hope this is helpful in some way :)

Diet and exercise is super important, but also, check out this article linking Vitamin D deficiency to PCOS. A little extra D can't help!

Gabby0913 You are more than welcome. If my story can help anyone, I am glad to tell it. My 2nd boy came along without any trying or anything 3 years after the 1st one. I was all set to get back at the clomid and all the work and was already pregnant. I guess that is pretty common with PCOS as well. I wish you the best of luck.

I've seen a lot of messages from women trying to have babies, not saying this part is for every one, but 13 years ago I had an extremely premature baby. Had been diagnosed with PCOS about 5 years before that. Anyway, they said that my progesterone was very low and might have caused the prematurity. For some low progesterone is caused by the PCOS. When you get pregnant, check with your Dr., they can test it and it might save some heart ache in the end.
I have had 2 boys-conceiving with PCOS is possible.

Two weeks into Paleo and I have a period. I haven't had a period in over a year. I will see how next month goes but if this is an indication then this is it for me.

I admire your determination and your quest for knowledge. The truth is, PCOS is different for most everyone. My symptoms are different from yours but the outcome was the same. I am glad you are finding things that work for you. Keep sharing because we can all benefit from what each other learns and passes along!

I am 29 and I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15. When the doctor told me I had it, I asked what was pcos and he replied, well we are not sure. What kind of answer is that. I have been to doctor after doctor over the past years. Let me just say, 9 years no menustration. NOTHING. Every doctor is telling me that is normal for pcos. No, that isn't normal for anyone. I give up on the doctors and done lots of research. I probably know more about pcos than most doctors. I have tried many things. I finally purchased Vitex and Dong Quai in Nov. 2012 and I had a period on January 31, 2013. I was amazed. It lasted until I ran out of pills. I have only been out for 2 months. I will be getting more. I was also losing weight, because my hormones were balancing!!!!!!!!!! I am thinking of trying Maca Root this time. I strongly believe that if I get the herbs going and start losing all this weight, I can get pregnant. I will NEVER give up! just wanted to share. Maybe there is someone that has considered Dong Quai, but had never heard any testimonies.

I went for over a year on three separate occasions, and I've never had a regular period, until now. I'm feeding my body right and its starting to work the way it's supposed to! It can happen for you, just keep pushing!

It's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change!!

I am not sure if any of you have heard of Fertibella, I tried it for 2 months and noticed changes pretty quickly. Two weeks into taking it I ovulated for the first time since starting ttc 5 years ago. It is all natural the down side is that it is on the pricey side and it actually doesn't have the best of reviews so it may not work for everyone but it did help me. I only stopped taking it because I was starting a round of clomid and wasn't sure if it was safe to take with that but it is safe to take with Metformin. They usually have some sort of deal for new customers like a free trial or two months for the price of one or something to that effect. I felt a lot better while taking it and am actually about to start it again since the clomid did nothing. I hope this helps :)

I've been learning more about the Paleo diet. It helps with a lot of ailments, and some women with PCOS have also had success. Since the diet is more protein rather than carb-oriented, cysters seem to respond pretty well. Here's a lady who used Paleo to help manage PCOS:
