I also have very prominent blue veins. Mine are very visible on my chest and arms. You can follow them from my heart to my hands actually. I just think that mine is due to my light and slightly more translucent skin. I only really notice them after showers too. But I'm not concerned my mine. If they are a new occurrence, that might warrant some medical attention, but it good be a number of factors (including lighting in your bathroom). Good luck with finding some answers! Sorry I couldn't be of more help (just wanted you to know you aren't alone).

I've have really noticeable blue veins in my hands for years. But over the last year, I've noticed that the blue veins are really noticeable on my chest, shoulders and arms too. I googled it and tons of people had written about it on health forums, but no actual medical information came up. Pregnancy also came up a lot, which got me thinking about hormone levels and maybe it's related to my PCOS? Just wondering if anyone else has come across the same thing
(By the way, these are completely flat blue veins under smooth very white skin, so not varicose veins, but still very noticeable.)
