TORNADOTRKR, if you have liver problems cause of meds I would check w/ a Dr. about adding supplements. They might order some sort of testing regularly to make sure you weren't causing any damage.

I just ordered my inositol and I'm hoping this will help. My PCOS has gotten absolutely out of control and I don't want to take BC or other types of medication that will hurt my liver more than it already is.

What vitamins can I take it with and which should I avoid? I don't want to overload my body... I have GERD and migraines so I don't want to trigger any of that.
thanks!

Update: Inside of 2 weeks on this stuff, I noticed a couple of hairs on my chest (yeah -- gross I know!!! LOL) losing their dark pigment and getting narrower. Very intersting! I am curious to see if there will be other positive effects as time goes on!

CHRIMSONFYRE, yes -- there is a theory right now going around that people with PCOS can't as effectively make D Chiro Inositol in their bodies like normal women, so supplementing that nutrient can help with PCOS. Other people take regular Inositol, which is MUCH cheaper. The theory is that the body has more regular Inositol to convert to D Chiro Inositol (they are closely related) so it would still help with the imbalance. There are only a couple of places that I have found that make the D Chiro Inositol -- it has to be ordered on line. Regular Inositol supplements can be found in a lot of health food stores, though it tends to be cheaper online. I am going to start taking both types and see what happens! :-)

Hi there. I have been taking for the last 4 months Choline Inositol alongside Cinnamon, Chromium Picolinate and B12....all supposedly help with PCOS and insulin resistence. What can I say apart from that I've had my first period in 2 years and I've to date lost 64 pounds so something is going right this time different to other times that I've tried to lose weight. However,I must add that I have cut out sugar and artificial sweeteners to stop blood sugar spikes as well. Good luck emoticon

Have any of you tried this? I just ordered some today, and am hoping it can help me get rid of my last stubborn pounds and possibly help w/ the excess hair.
