So far, Metformin has not regulated my cycles and I've been on it since November. So almost 3 months. I had a period that started the day I started taking the Metformin (which isn't bc of the Metformin) and haven't had one since. So for me, it's not regulating my cycle. My doctor told me that it might take up to a year to regulate my cycle. She also said that JUST taking Metformin won't cause me to lose weight or have periods. I have to eat healthy and exercise as well. So good luck to all of you taking it! Hopefully it will work for all of us!

After three years of trying to get pregnant, I was prescribed metformin and I conceived within two months. I have been taking it for the past 8 years to keep my cycle regular and control my diabetes. I love it.
Slowly, Slowly I am making positive choices for positive changes.
I have been on Metformin for about 6 months now, but to be honest, I haven't noticed much difference with my cycles. I usually had one every 4 months or so before the Metformin, and that seems to be about the same.
I have been looking into the OPK's, they are expensive! I might, or just hope nature happens! Good luck to you! It took my body just about exactly a month to have a cycle, but I guess each person is different.
I have been off BC for about 8 months now, and have always had to trigger with provera. I have been on Metformin since November 5th and I just got my first cycle! I couldn't be more excited! Does anyone know, or have had it where you get pregnant after your first cycle on Metformin? I am just so happy that my body is starting to kick in and do what it is supposed to do!
