I have my annual exam coming up and I think it's time for me to talk with the doctor about new/different meds. Which ones should I ask about? What has worked for you?
I'm currently taking Metformin 500mg daily. I'm on no other medication except for a daily allergy pill and nasal spray.
Although my cycles have become regular while taking the Metformin, I haven't had any of the weight loss that so many people experience. In fact, I've gained weight while on it! I've followed the nutrition and exercise plans here on Spark very closely, and I'm just seeing the scale move up, up, up (just like my measurements, so it's not like I'm gaining muscle mass and losing fat). I HAVE to get my weight under control, and I think I really do need some sort of medical intervention. That scares me, but i don't know what more I can do on my own.
