That's awesome! I got one last month and I think I am starting to another one this month as I had some very slight spotting this morning and have had cramps the last few days. This would be my second ever without medical help! Whooo hooo!
Finally after 23 years I'm getting somewhat of a "regular" cycle. So bizarre. I was actually getting used to my biannual periods and then whammo I start getting them. It's a blessing and a "curse" at the same time.
Happiness does not begin when you lose weight; being happy and healthy is how you lose weight.
That's amazing!! Congratulations. You must be so thrilled. That's really impressive that you had one just 6 weeks after going off the pill - it can screw up a regular cycle for up to a year, let alone a PCOS one.
It's best to stay off the pill if you have PCOS - it makes insulin resistance worse.
Well thats Great really and i have only been with SP for a little over a week exercising lots more and eating better and i started the other day what a way to stay motivated LOL (btw i never start on my own or haven't in over a year)

I also noticed that when I was exercising 6x/week (for only 25 min. per day) that I had more regular periods. I have not exercised in a while due to my Fibromyalgia lapse, so I have not had a period since June 5th. I need to get healthy again by walking more as I used to because it will also help deal with the pain that come with the Fibro.

I find that the more weight I lose and the more walking I do, the more of them I have. Yes, only us gals with PCOS (and teenage girls waiting for their first periods! LOL!) get excited about these things.
Congratulations!! And you're right - we're probably the only ones that will realize what big deal (and good thing) this is for you!

OK, so I thought I would post this here b/c I'm pretty sure you ladies are the only ones who will understand how flippin exciting this is for me... today I got my period on my own - with no assistance from drugs - in almost 10 years!!!!
I was diagnosed with PCOS a few years back and told that is why I probably rarely if ever I had my period (back when I was 16 my Dr. put me on BCP to regulate me b/c I would go so long without one. tried to get off it a couple times over the 10 yrs but never had a period so was told I had to go back on it by Dr.)... but this past year I got serious about trying to lose weight (b/c Dr. said it would help with PCOS symptoms) and went to see a new Dr. and went OFF BCP 6 weeks ago and to my utter surprise and joy I got my period today!!! I'm still shocked....
I wrote this here b/c I think you ladies are probably the only ones who can understand why I am excited to get my period when so many dread it haha...
Anyways, I have hope now I guess... and maybe this will give hope to someone else struggling with PCOS today.
