Hey ladies! How is everyone doing this week? I had a crazy week between doctor visits, issues at work, and spending all day at the hospital with my boyfriend today. I did manage to carry my food bag with me. Although I have this crazy sugar craving. I am trying to fight it with pineapple.

Aww! I hope you feel better. We take each day at a time. Don't beat yourself up over past behaviors, even if less than 24 hours ago. This is a lifestyle.

I am still working on self-control issues so I do not want to do a cheat day at this time. I may revisit as I get stronger. At restaurants I usually choose something fresh without sauce, coating, cheese, or glaze. emoticon

That is great! I woke up feeling absolutely craptastic, so I have a feeling it will be a ramen type of weekend for me (only thing I really like when I'm sick), except for tonight. The fiance and I are going to Moe's for dinner. I need to do some calculating before we go :)

Yesterday was my cheat day, unfortunately. When I got home I took the package of salami and ate almost half of it. I suppose it's better than eating cookies or candy, but it's high in fat! Then, after dinner I just took the bag of pretzels and chowed down. I don't know why I did what I did yesterday, but I did. Today is a new day, and I am determined to stay within my calorie range!

It's Friday ladies! What's the nutritional plan for the weekend?

I planned and cooked ahead. I said I would have a cheat day, but I personally would go overboard. I found a way to incorporate yummy recipes. In between I snack on raw veggies and fruits (more veggies than fruit).

Today's menu is spinach and ground turkey stuffed sweet potatoes for breakfast, tossed salad with seared tuna, and chicken kabobs with tossed veggies for dinner.

Saturday: Grilled chicken salad, shrimp stir fry (no noodles or rice), tossed spinach salad

Sunday: Garlic, chicken, and Kale soup - it's a brothy soup with homemade chicken broth, chicken breast, celery, carrots and kale. Tossed salad, and mini turkey meatloaves (gluten free and paleo recipe)

I think so. I stopped taking metformin because it's done nothing for me. I think my periods will regulate more once I lose more weight. I agree it's very frustrating. To become a mother is one of my motivators (in addition to being healthy) but I get depressed going to the doctor or hearing my friends and family discuss how they are such "fertile myrtles".

Anyhow, I started taking vitamins and antioxidants while trying to adhere to a Paleo diet. So far it's helped. I also started incorporating more relaxation techniques in my day. Stress is definitely an issue with me. We are champions! We will reach our goals! emoticon

I will still work with an RE but I'm working with a naturopathic doctor also. I want to switch gears and try a more natural solution. I incorporated some ideas from the site below and had two periods before this month on my own. Before that I didn't see my period since November 2012.

Sounds like you're doing a great job!
I often wonder if this will be easier if I can get the weight down more. It can be so hard and frustrating.

At least you're seeing progress! I still don't have a period unless I'm on my BCP. I was able to have somewhat regular periods when I was in the 160s (3 months of periods, 1 month without, repeat, etc). So, I'm hoping that once I reach my goal weight it will be easier to conceive when I decide to begin trying for a family. I'm getting married in late 2015, so I have 2 years before I even plan on thinking about little ones (other than my furry one!).

Those are some great goals for this week! I didn't make it to the gym today, because I had to study for an interview, even though I was told today that I had the position. Makes sense, right? I'm hoping all they want to do is shoot the breeze! At any rate, tomorrow I begin training for endurance while running, which will hopefully get me to my goal of being able to participate in the Tower of Terror 10-Miler at Disney in October!

I had 2 days over my calorie range last week, so I'm going for 1 this week :) Maybe next week I'll get it down to all days within range!

No I'm not taking anything, it's lingering from my flu/bronchitis combo I had for new years. I have been taking a lot of antihistamine though because my allergies are terrible.

Hope everyone is ready for a great week. I'm challenging myself to drink enough water this week, pack my lunches every day and go to the gym each night...let's see if I can do it!

Thanks, CMCGUIRE88. We weren't trying but the bright side of things is that I'm starting to see some positive changes, like a regular cycle and ovulation. I do hope you feel better. Good luck on your interview.

Here's to another week making healthy choices! emoticon

Donegirl, I'm so sorry to hear about the miscarriage! Here's hoping next time the baby is healthy!

Chrimsonfyre, hopefully that cough goes away soon!

I've been starting to feel under the weather myself. It began last night, so I thought it was just what I had for dinner (we went to outback for my mom's birthday). I started feeling the same way again after lunch today (subway sub). I seriously can't be getting sick right now. I have an interview this week for a position that I desperately want, and I'd rather not be green emoticon

That's awesome! I did that this summer. I did well today. I had a day where I ate mostly raw foods and made chicken and lamb kabobs. I didn't have much of an appetite the past few days because of severe pain. I hadn't worked out as much this week because I thought I was having a very painful period. Turned out to be an early miscarriage. emoticon I am building better habits to continue the downward trend in my weight. Keep rocking it out!

I'm doing well so far! I participated in The Color Run this morning :) Sooooooo much fun! I had a cobb salad for lunch, and it was delish! (got a couple veggie servings out of it, too!). How is everyone else doing?

Woohoo! I have stayed within range the past week (although AF is causing severe sugar cravings). I actually ate below calories due to the extreme pain. I am fighting it though and opting for pineapple and grapes. I know..sugar is sugar, but it keeps the gummy bear cravings at bay. Yesterday I made the most yummy shrimp/veggie stir fry. It was so colorful and pretty on the plate.

How is everyone doing with staying within range and getting their freggies? Yesterday ended up being my splurge day (CiCi's will be the death of me), but I still got in 3 freggie servings :)

So far I've made healthy choices today (woot woot!) and I plan on keeping up that streak!

Chrimsonfyre, what is beach body?

A challenge I'm doing in a different team combines both of those! Eat within calorie range for 6/7 days (1 day for cheats or just a bad day, etc).

We could always bump it up with ensuring we get our freggies in, too! Let's face it, we can stay within our calorie range without eating our freggies foods (I am one of the guilty ones at times).

Choose the amount of freggies that you want to eat on a daily basis. If you're used to getting in your freggies on a daily basis, go for 5+ servings. If you aren't used to getting them on a daily basis, start with 3 servings (one at each main meal).

We can post how we're doing on here, and if someone struggles, we can help motivate them!
