I'm in. Day 1 I added 10 on the elliptical. Day 2 I added 10 minutes in my derby workout (took less breaks). Day 3 I went on a walk/jog with my friend. Day 4 I spent 1.5 hours working out at derby practice and then added an extra 45 minutes at the gym. One day left...must keep going! And apparently I have no idea how to use the message boards :/

I have increased by walking from 15 mintues to 25 and my cycling from 30 to 45 minutes. love this challenge!

Day two --- check --- 30 minutes of gardening today. This is one of the 3 days a week (Mon, Tues & Thurs) that I usually just cannot find the time to do any exercise due to scheduling. So far so good this week.

I'm IN! I jogged an extra ten minutes yesterday at the gym. And today is when I go on the long walk with all 3 of my pups. Instead of just doing a 15 min walk, we are going to walk the entire complex which is 1.24 miles! I'll be doing that on Tuesdays and Thursdays!

I walked 1/2 mile yesterday and did an additional 15 minutes of stretching and toning exercises when I finished. If felt great and I plan to repeat it today and hopefully get in a longer walk.

Great job everyone on joining the challenge and adding at least 10 more minutes to your exercise routine. The rewards will start to show before you know it.

For me, I am just now able to get back into exercising after I broke my tailbone. I walked up and down stairs at work yesterday instead of taking the elevator.

Weeded one of my gardens and practiced my golf chipping and pitching both totaled 25 minutes. This is pretty good considering I normally have not found the time to exercise on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.

I not only spent extra time going back and forth to the bathroom (I drank a lot more water the last few days, so more trips to the bathroom for me) and a lot more steps. Instead of doing an extra 10 minutes...I thought I'd do a whole mile with my new Leslie DVD, little did I know that it would wind up being an extra 3 miles because I haven't been walking with my Leslie DVDs since I messed up my shoulder. So that's about an extra 46 minutes for me...officially! :-)

This is a WEEKDAY challenge from MONDAY-FRIDAY, April 9-13.

emoticon The challenge is to increase your exercise (strength OR cardio OR whatever) for 10 minutes each day. JUST 10 MINUTES MORE THAN YOU ARE DOING NOW…….

emoticon BUT WHAT IF YOU CANNOT DO 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE AT A TIME??? THEN WE ESPECIALLY WANT YOU TO JOIN THIS CHALLENGE! Has anyone read how Beth Donovan (~INDYGIRL) started exercising when she was 460 pounds and bedridden? Her challenge was get out of bed and STAND UP FOR ONE FULL MINUTE each day. That was her starting point. Now she has lost over 200 pounds and can get around in spite of some severe health issues.

emoticon SO JOIN THIS CHALLENGE NO MATTER WHAT YOUR STATE OF FITNESS AND NO MATTER IF YOU ARE ABLE TO DO AN ENTIRE 10 MINUTES AT A TIME. This is spring, a time of new beginnings. We are here to celebrate every step forward with you ! ! !

If you don’t want to just add 10 minutes to the activity you are ALREADY DOING, use this golden opportunity to branch out and TRY SOMETHING NEW…..

Don’t kill yourself. This is supposed to be FUN ! ! !
