Ali and Kay ..i have just read your incidents and I am smiling.I have been through the same kind of incidents quiet a few time since I have two kids.Some times I think ,we should have some emergency clean up help that we can call...like "911 cleanup service ". lol emoticon
I want to check C to 5 K..is it a DVD or something online. I want to try it too.
I am doing the regular Jillian 30 day shred and my 5 miles a day ,except on Saturday because I was tired ...very Tired and I found out If I don't exercise I feel more tired, Anyhow my Sunday was better.
One more thing ...I made some protein bar myself. its delicious and only 145 calories. I ate one this morning before my workout but it gave me heart burn. emoticon
I am very disappointed. emoticon

Lol Kay! It's funny, the stuff we remember!

I did Day 1 of week 2 of C2 5K. It was tougher to run for 90 seconds than 60...but I'm determined to run a 5K! My dad has been a runner since before I was born. He's really excited to run a 5K with me.

Geez Ali! That is a rough week for sure! If you got to work out at all this week, that's a major success. The poop in the tub thing is hilarious. I actually remember being a toddler at the Y and I did the same thing.... except it was in public. (Funny thing, I can hardly recall last week, but I can remember crawling as a baby and clearing out the Y pool due to my incident. Crazy how the mind works!!)

Glad you didn't get sick.

Gaining a few pounds on vacation is to be expected. All that eating out, but by keeping up your working out, you probably didn't gain as much. AND you kept up the habit which a lot of people lose while on vacay.

Yesterday, I did NMTZ for a change of pace. What an awesome workout that is!! You forget how good they are after you don't do them for a while.

Even though I worked out, I still gained a few lbs on vaca. But I did not watch what I ate at all, so it's not a surprise!

I took a rest day today. It's been a tough week for me to find time & energy to workout. Coming back to work has been crazy, my daughter was sick at the end of our trip & then at the beginning of the week. She also decided to climb out of her crib & fall yesterday and then she pooped in the tub (it was like a Clorox commercial - life's bleachable moments!) And my kitchen sink was leaking, luckily the plumber was able to come today.

Wish me luck for a better week coming up!

Ali I never thought about working out on vacation. And I always gain weight when I am on vacation....but from now on I will do the same like you did....you are awesome. And I am blessed to have friend like you.

Thanks for the advice, ladies. I did day 2 yesterday. While I still didn't like it, this time I didn't have the ankle pain that night. I am going to do the 3rd day tomorrow or sat. Wish me luck!!

Ali that is too bad about the treadmill on vacation. I find your hard work on your trip so inspiring

Kay - I started C25K too! I did day 1 just before my vaca, day 2 & 2.5 on the treadmill on vaca - yes 2.5 was because the 2nd day the treadmill at the hotel gym just stopped working & there were no others available! I did the elliptical to finish my workout, b/c the other treadmills were taken. So I didn't count that as a day.
I took a few days off & finally did day 3 today. So far so good on my joints. I did it outside with my dog. I got the free app for my iPhone & made a playlist. So some nice lady tells me when to run & when to walk!

K - On first day of my running my feet were sore and my left knee was hurting and I thought that its not my thing. Next morning when I woke up there was no pain. I still have some heaviness or if you call it a very light pain in my left knee but its getting better everyday. It's good that you have planned it three days a week. Just listen to your body then do what's best for you.

I loved C25k. Definitely running can be hard on your joints. I go through issues with my knee periodically. Even with Jillian I am very careful about that knee.

Sunday was my day off and I ended up sick on Monday but got back into Shred mode yesterday with day 6. Plan day 7 this morning.

Welcome back home, Ali! Glad to see you are back & good for you for working out on vacation.

Based on a little inspiration from this board, I decided to try something new on Tuesday. I started that Couch to 5K program. Yep. I've got a treadmill in the basement, so I figured it was worth a try. Well, day 1 seemed pretty simple. 90 seconds of brisk walking followed by 60 seconds of running, repeat for 20 minutes. I thought at the time that it went well, but that night, I had some pain on the outside of my one ankle. Yesterday was an off day, but I am going to try it again tonight. If the ankle pain after running persists, I will probably decide that running just isn't for me.... unless I'm running from a zombie or something. I am really pumped about the idea of doing a 5k, but not willing to sacrifice my ability to do my other workouts. Know what I mean? Have any other new runners experienced this?

Wish me luck! The C25k training is only 3 days a week, so I'll keep up with Jillian, Bob and all my other fave dvds too.

Today I started 30 day shred...again. I am doing some serious walking plus running now. Last week was good because I ran on both days. Not sure e about Saturday but since Sunday I am walking 5 miles daily. I will try my best to keep it up. emoticon emoticon

I'm back! I did 30 DS level 1 today. Even though I worked out while on vaca, I feel like I slacked off by taking a week off from Jillian!
I had a great time in St. Martin, but it already feels like it was months ago instead of just yesterday!

Sounds like everyone is doing great. I decided to do Ripped in 30 L1 yesterday. Burned 300 calories doing that one. I can feel it in my legs and bum today, so that's a good thing.

Yesterday I did 70 minutes run but forgot to post it on the thread.Today I did a 40 minutes run in the park, later I bought a fitbit to monitor my calorie burn ...yes I didn't have any thing to monitor my daily calorie burn.i am very excited, I am sure it will help me loose some weight....yay emoticon

Awesome! Thanks so much for the tip!

For now I'm sticking with the Shred, primarily because it is short and that's what I need right now! It's still kicking my butt. I really have to push through those moves with the larger weights. Did day 4 today. Will do day 5 tomorrow and take Sunday off.

I'm feeling stronger every day and I hope to be confidently rocking my swimsuit in July. I hope I will be at my goal weight by then but we shall see.

JK - you mentioned not having NMTZ. It's available for free on YouTube on the befit chanel. I can't find the full version anymore. But all 7 circuits are on there. It's a similar set up to BFBM in that it's 7 six minute circuits.

Thanks K ...it's a start for me and my goal is add running to my routine at any cost.on weekends I don't do any exercise and now I want to do running on the weekend.
Today I ran for 25 minutes plus I did NMTZ all circuits.
I love the feeling when I am done with my workout. emoticon sore but happy.

Way to go Saimsam! I despise running, so a 20 minute mile doesn't sound too bad to me. I wonder how long it would take me to do one? You may have inspired me to try, but we'll see. I really, really don't like it. DH is training for a marathon in May. It's too bad I just can't fathom running unless there's a monster at my heels. :)

Yesterday I did only 30 minutes of elliptical, but it was better than nothing. :)

Yesterday I did yoga meltdown level 1 and 1 mile run ( in 20 minutes emoticon ) told ya I am not a runner but trying my best to become one.
Today I did 1 mile run and fitness blenders abs and oblique with cardio. It was hard emoticon and at times I felt like giving up but forced myself to finish it. emoticon

I went back and did Level 1 of the Shred this morning with heavier weights. First time through I used 3 lbs and this time I used 5 lbs and kept hold of the weights during the cardio as well. Wow! That workout was no joke! It's funny cause I used the 5 lbs during Level 3 no problem. I think the strength moves in Level 1 are actually more challenging than in Level 3.

Hi everyone I am back. After reading the posts I figured out that all of you are enjoying your workout. I did my exercise after 9 days... emoticon feels like weeks to me , anyhow my back is better not perfect..today I did Teabo'S cardio for weight loss.it was 44 minutes long. Then I ran for 20 minutes.
I am not a good runner but I want to make it a part of my daily schedule. Let see how it goes.

Today I did a Jackie Warner DVD called timesaver or something. It was a whole body 40 min circuit. Good weight workout. Then I did 20 minutes of Pilates and the daily 1+ mile walk with the senior doggie.

JKdubs, did u do the Last Chance Workout? If so, how do you like it?

Ali- go anywhere fun? Hope h are lying on a beach somewhere looking smokin' hot in your bikini, like Jillian says.

C25K is so awesome! I did that and followed it with Bridge to 10K. Haven't been able to get a running program going since having the baby, but looking forward to getting back into it.

JK - if you're looking for a good routine check out the 30 Day Slim Down. It alternates between 30DS, BFBM & NMTZ. I really liked it & saw some great results (I did it last Nov & manages to lose 8 lbs that month, even while eating a big thanksgiving dinner!)

I started Couch to 5k Saturday. I want to run a 5K at the beginning of summer. I haven't worked out yet today but plan to later on.

Did 30DS Level 3 Day 9 today. Wrapping it up tomorrow. It's good - I feel capable of doing all the moves, but it is still a good workout for 20 minutes.

But I don't like seeing my belly jiggling around when I do those jumps. Lol

I am not going to judge killer abs until I try l2 because l1 seemed pretty easy to me.

I did Shred it with Weights today. I do enjoy kettle bells. Good cardio and strength together. Only burned 225 calories, but that's only 28 minutes total.

I haven't tried killer abs yet. Did you like it?

I have two days left of 30 DS, which took me way longer than 30 days this time lol.

Today and tomorrow on L3, then I need to decide what to do next. I was thinking if restarting L1 with bigger weights. Maybe I will do that but alternate days with other workouts like BFBM and 6W6P.

Been a bit under the weather for the past few days, but I did manage to force myself to work out a couple of times.

Friday I did NMTZ. Saturday, I actually went to the gym with the DH. Not all that fond of the gym, but Planet Fitness has this really neat arctrainer that works like an elliptical or like a climber, depending on how to configure it. I did an hour on that, climbing.

Sunday was an offday, because it was unseasonably warm here, I had to take advantage of the time outdoors to do some garden clean up in prep for summer. I took the doggie for her mile+ daily walk everyday too.

I've decided to do the last week of the 30 day slim down for the week. So I did day 24 today: BFBM. I dreaded it the whole morning & really had to psych myself up for it! But I did it & I feel great for pushing myself.

Yesterday I did 30 DS level 1 & 2 circuits of BFBM (the 1st one & the last one).

Today I did 2 Denise Austin workouts: cardio quick burn & one of the workouts from her 3 week boot camp DVD. I didn't really know what it was, I just clicked on it (found it on you tube, it came up after the 1st workout). It was a 20 min full body workout that was a lot of kettle bell moves with a dumbbell.

I used to workout 1st thing in the morning before my daughter woke up. But her sleeping habits have changed & she's up a bit earlier so i have to jump in the shower as soon as I wake.

Today i did the Denise Austin quick burn cardio today.

Great job everyone!

I completed day 3 of level 3 30DS today. Moved up to the 5 lb weights no prob. (There doesn't seem to be as much dumbbell use in Level 3 anyway...)

I've found doing the workout first thing in the AM is the only way that really works for me. Then it's over and done with and I can go about my day without worrying about when I will fit it in. If I leave it for the evening I will not do it.

Monday I tried the 1000 calorie workout. Burned 350 calories, but only made it about 25 minutes. That workout rocks! Cannot believe how tough it was. Going to try it again.

Yesterday I did level 1 of the biggest loser cardio max, half of bob harper's beginners weight loss transformation, and his 10 minute beginner abs.

Today I did strength training for 50 min. I m all sweaty ank st....need to take shower.
I am working hard to monitor my calories.

Ali - emoticon I heard that brushing teeth helps reduce craving for anything...I did it it really helps.

30 DS level 3 (i'm getting better ar jumping lunges!) & coach Nicole's cardio burst.
I leave for vaca in less than 2 weeks, I'd like to leave a few lbs lighter! I keep sabotaging my diet in the evenings! So tonight, I'm brushing my teeth & the kitchen is closed!!!

Finished Level 2 today. I went through Level 1 daily - Level 2 I stalled out and ended up with 6 non-Shred days mixed in there! Not too great. Oh well. Hopefully I will do a bit better with Level 3.

Just did 30 DS level 1 & coach Nicole's cardio sculpt. I love that she has 2 12 minute workouts that I can tack onto 30DS or RI30 to make it a full 30 min workout. Plus, she really makes me sweat!

Love the tips on the 1000 calorie workout and traci too. I will check those out.
Today I did the biggest loser cardio max. If u have never tried it, it's pretty good. Plan to workout tomorrow too.

Glad we can all motivate each other even when we step away from Jillian for a bit.

Today I did 30DS level 3 and a 20 minute Denise Austin Quick Burst cardio (somehting like that) workout.

Hi all , I did 1000 calorie workout today..my body is very sore because I used 10 lb weights instead of my regular 5 lb. I think I need 8 lb weights because 10 was very HEAVY for me and 5 was very light.

Ali if you search on you tube " 1000 calorie workout " By Fitness Blenders. You will find it. I like it a lot. It's a combination of HIIT , strength and core.

I absolutely LOVE to hate her. emoticon Luckily there are YouTube video's available so you can check out everything I'll be doing. My March Madness Plan will consist of two workout sessions a day, 1 1/2 hours in the A.M and 1 hour in the P.M.

I've actually given up Jillian workouts for March. I'll be focusing on Tracy Anderson's Mat Workout and Dance Cardio for 30 days. But I'll still be here to cheer you all on with your programs!

Swimsuits and shorts, now that's an inspiration!! Way to motivate us, Ali!

I am really intrigued by the 1000 Calorie Workout. I'd love to hear more.

Last night, I did a Denise Austin workout from BeFit. I think it was Calorie Burst Strength or something like that. I used the freeware called FreeMake to select a bunch of YouTube videos from Denise & then burned a DVD with them on it. That's how I avoid that stopping and starting issue. I love that software just for that reason. I also burned an old TaeBo workout that way. I also did a Buns of Steel DVD. Not a lot of burn on that one, but tons of toning....at least that's what I'm hoping.

Hoping for a very energetic weekend!!!
