Kay- we missed you one the board. I hope you're doing OK. Yoga is a good way to get back into the swing of things.
I need a 1000 calorie workout! Who is the trainer, Saimsam?

I did RI 30 level 2 (I waited till after Olivia went to bed!) and I tried a Denise Austin calorie blast workout but I found it on you tube & it started cutting out about 5 minutes in. I then did a circuit of BFBM and called it a night!

I started a March board, it's under challenges & check-ins. See you all there tomorrow!

I did an hour of Yoga yesterday. Just got back from the funeral in Michigan, so I am trying to get back into the swing of working out.

I am all in for a March thread, so I'll look for it tomorrow.

1000 Calorie workout??? Awesome!

Ali I remember when my daughter was little , I could not use my thread mill because she was always there to get on that.Now she goes to school and on weekends she likes to do exercise with me. I am sure very soon your daughter will be doing the same with you.

Today I did YMD L1.

Ali I hope you will start a march thread. You know I will be there if you do . emoticon

I took a rest day yesterday & today I kind of had to improvise. I got out of work early & wanted to workout before my husband to home from work. So I started RI 30 level 2, with my 18 month old daughter in the room. I got through 2 circuits. At first, my daughter was into it & dancing around. Then she played by herself. Then she started getting restless. I got through 2 circuits before she started clinging to my legs. Lol! When I gave her dinner I did 30 second increments of cardio for 8 minutes. So I at least got 20 minutes in. Never a full moment! Lol! Tomorrow I'll wait till she goes to bed. I think I'll do RI 30 level 2 again & YMD.

After the slim down I was so sick of Jillian, I decided to take a break from JM.
Well, that lasted a week. Yesterday i did RI 30 level 1 (I hadn't done RI 30 since December) & 2 circuits of BFBM. Today I did YM & the last circuit of NMTZ.
BFBM & NMTZ are the ones I was the most sick of, but they're also the ones that really make me sweat! So I'm easing myself back into them.

I'm been super hungry the past 2 days. I want to eat everything I sight - lol! The weekends are always tough for me to stay on track.

So, we just stayed on this thread for February. Would everyone be open to a March Check In thread for next month?

Ali you are not alone ,it is hard and sometimes I feel the same way. Yesterday I pushed my self to finish it,because I feel guilty if I don't finish my exercise.i am sure some day we will be able to say " we can do 50 push-ups." And i am sure every day is taking us closer to that day. emoticon

I did yoga meltdown level 1 today. Every time it makes me feel " oh it was good ".

Kay - I know it's hard what you are going through.my prayers are with you. emoticon

Saimsam - I'm still always a little dazed after 6W6P level 1. When she goes so fast the 2nd time, i can barely do the moves. It's just a little too fast for me.

Hi Everyone! Thanks so much for the birthday wishes. I really do appreciate your thoughts. I had a bit of a tough time on Friday. My Grandma was very much like a mother to me & her death is hitting me like a brick. I was actually sobbing at my desk on Friday. Very sad. She had a long life and her dementia was getting bad, but it still hurts, you know? So needless to say, I wasn't the greatest in the workout area the last few days.

Monday (my bday), I did Shred it With Weight L1. I'm going to do something today when I get back from work. Getting back on track.

I have the funeral on Monday out of state, so I'll be away for a few days, but you all keep it up!!!

Happy Birthday Kay!!

Rest day fro me today :)
I did Coach Nicole's short cardio burst & cardio sculpt and a Denise Austin aerobic workout. I ate Chinese food for dinner (and a lot of it!) so after letting my tummy settle i needed to do lots of cardio!

Feel better soon Saimsam!

I did day 30 of the 30 Day Slim Down...some more! Sort of. I just couldn't bring myself to do NMTZ. I'm so bored of the same workout. So I did 6W6P. Not quite as long, but still a great workout.

Ali Yes I found it on YouTube .
Today I am skipping my exercise because I feel tired and sick. I think skipping a day is better then skipping a week after getting real sick. But why I feel like I am doing something bad by not doing exercise today. emoticon

30 day shred and insanity fitness test or may be it was fit test...I don't remember what it was?
Kay - emoticon you are a super super star because you are doing insanity.Today i was checking what exactly insanity workout is? I found that fitness test for insanity. I tried it.It was hard, really really hard.
I am sure it will deliver the result but it is hard to do.

Wow! I'm totally intimidated by Insanity! Keep us posted on your progress. I agree with you on needing to switch it up. I just did day 27 of slim down...some more & I'm ready to say "it's not you, it's me" to Jillian for a while!

Yoga meltdown today. I also did a 10 minute Denise Austin pilates circuit. It went by very quickly & focused on hips & thighs.

The last couple of days I've been doing Insanity. It's bananas. Named appropriately for sure! I did Plyo Cardio Circuits and then Cardio Power. The workouts so far are like Jillian, but much more jumping. I'm wondering how long my old lady feet can take it. They last around 40 minutes each so far. We'll see if I can keep it up.

I'm stuck & need to switch up my plan, so I'm trying something completely new to attempt to kickstart my weight loss again. I'm in a major rut since the holidays & Gram's death.

Kay, that's cool that share a bday with JM! I'm a February baby too - the 27!

Today was day 24 of the slim down...some more. Is it over yet???
I was supposed to do BFBM but only did circuits 1-5. I just didn't have it in me to keep going. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier!

I hate it but other then that it doesn't feels that hard to me...
Today I did NMTZ and walked 3 miles.it was a good day for me and here in Houston weather was very nice.For every one in northeast stay safe.

NMTZ this morning. I got the day off because of the blizzard.

I had a BIG weigh in today. 154.......that puts me at a BMI of 24.9!!! I'm finally in a healthy weight range! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Ali- That's so wonderful about not feeling self-conscious about wearing a swimsuit. You're going to look so amazing. Keep up all the work and you'll be extra smokin' hot!

Saimsam- I am going to have to check out Kelsie Daniels to see what you're talking about. There's one woman in Ripped in 30 that is very athletic, but has a body I do not want. It's the blonde- I can't remember her name. Very pretty woman, but not the look I'm going for body-wise. Too muscular, esp in the legs.

Yesterday was my workout with coworker. It is down to just the two hard core ones this week, but we had fun doing Bob Harper's Beginner's Weight Loss Transformation and Bonus Beginner Ab workout. It's an hour of Bob and I don't know how he gets the idea that it's a Beginner Anything!! Felt wonderful afterwards though.

Thanks Rheyn! I'd do them 3-2-1 if I were choosing, but Blackandi's rotation said to do them in that order. I'm sure there's some reason behind it!

I'm really trying to turn it up. I have a Caribbean vacation coming up in 5 1/2 weeks (but who's counting?) and for the first time in a very long time I'm not dreading wearing a swimsuit!

But I want to be able to continue working out with out being burnt out or getting injured, so rest day today :)

I did it again! All 3 levels of 30 DS! I did them in order 123. I'm happy for 3 things:
1) I got through it
2) tomorrow is my rest day
3) that was the last time in the rotation that I have to do all 3 levels!!!

Kay, you'll get it...2 levels back to back is tough. Once your shoulder recovers, give it another shot. You were smart to stop rather than risk an injury.

Only did first thirty minutes of CE yesterday but that was good enough for me!! Tonight I plan on doing BFBM & if I have enought energy will try to get in the rest of what I missed yesterday.

Ali~the link that Kay provided should be CE(it's by the firm). It provided me with a good workout but I find it a little boring & goes by alot slower than JM dvds. I used to do only dvd's by them until I fell of the wagon & found JM.

Hello all! Keep up the great work!! I tried to be a rockstar, but only made it through 2 then 1 of the 30 Day Shred. I'll keep trying, but I was beat after those two. I commend you, Ali. You are one strong lady! I was having some shoulder pain too, so that was a little distracting during my rockstar attempt.

Did Calorie Explosion yesterday & plan on doing it today as well. I think I'm gonna add it in to my rotation during the week(at least once), still keeping JM as my go to dvd's. Hopefully my week will be as follows: Sun~CE, Mon~BFBM, Tues~NMTZ, Wed~30DS L2&1, Thurs~KBT L1, Fri~off, Sat~BFBM or CE.

I did NMTZ this morning too!
My DVD wouldn't play, my husband updated our blue ray player & since then BFBM & NMTZ won't play emoticon luckily they're both available on you tube. But I could only find NMTZ by circuit, so between each one I had to wait for through the "warning". The break was nice emoticon

Ali I liked 6W6p too. Level 2 was hard and I felt like those were the longest 3 weeks of my life.
Kay - borrowing Exercise DVDs from the library.thats really a good idea. Next time I will definitely borrow some exercise DvDs from the library.

I did NMTZ today. I like this workout DVD.

Ali- you are such a rockstar!! You've inspired me to try this over the weekend. I'll let you know if I'm joining your rockstar status next week.

Good job on the yoga meldown saimsam! Did you do Level 1? I have a tough time with those chataranga pushups. Otherwise, it's defintely a Jillian type yoga, no zen relaxation there!

I did The Biggest Loser Cardio Max yesterday. Borrowed it from the library. It's a really good workout, if you are looking for some variety. Seeing those bigger folks working so hard made me feel like a wimp when I wanted to stop.

I did yoga meltdown this evening. I alread feel more confident in my form, doing it for the 2nd time. What helped me was to look up online the proper form for chatauranga push ups.

Tomorrow is day 15 of slim down...some more. I'm supposed to do 30 DS - levels 1,2,&3!!! I'm going to give it a shot, but may not have time to do all 3 levels.

Sorry to hear about your loss Kay...my thoughts & prayers go out to you and your family during this difficult time.

I will be doing BFBM w/in the next 15 minutes...I'm also going to try to rock out 10 push ups right after(wish me luck!). Keep pushing play everyone!!

Hello everyone. Got some very sad news yesterday so I made it a rest day. My beloved 96 year old grandma died Monday night in her sleep. She and I were really close. Up until her dementia got bad about a year and a half ago, I would talk to her just about daily. She was such a special part of my life. I knew she probably wouldn't be around much longer, but was normal the day she died. So sad. Hug your loved ones today, because u just never know.

Today I did 2 Denise austin workouts. One was like a kettle bell one. Burned 400 calories in less than 40 minutes according to my hrm. I am going to try to keep up my activity even though I'd rather be feeling sorry for myself right about now.

You are all do great and really help to keep me motivated.

ALI - I just did the first workout for 28 day bootcamp and thought the same about Coach Nichole. I'm happy to hear she gets more intense. However, I LOVE her voice. So soothing and nice. I wonderful change from Jillian! lol

I did 20 minutes interval run last night and the bootcamp the night before. Today is a rest day.

Kay- You are ROCKING it!

Did NMTZ about an hour ago & boy oh boy I forgot how much of a challenge it is. Circuit 1 is the toughest to me...and I always use 3lbs.

Kay - Wow! That's a great deal. I'll check it out. The ones who seem nice, are very deceptive. The first time I did Coach Nicole's workout, I was like - this chick is too soft, I'll never get a good workout from her! Boy was I wrong!!! Her total body challenge kicks my @$$!

I think you can count elliptical as a workout. When i went on vaca in October I used the gym at the hotel & pretty much only did elliptical there. I wasn't watching what I was eating at all but managed to maintain or only gain a pound. I think it was because I did something completely different from Jillian, so my body was working harder at something new.

I think I've posted this before, but if you do decide you want to mix things up a bit and add Bob to the mix, he's got a DVD sale on his website that's hard to beat. You can get individual DVDs for $3.99 or buy one of his 4 DVD collections for $14.99. It's a bargain & a great workout. Here's his site. I have to say that I love and love to hate just about all of his workouts. If you want to mix it up and give yourself a little break from Jillian, try her best friend, Bob. He seems like a nice guy on BL, but boy does he kick your behind.

Also, I only did the ellipitical yesterday. Not sure if I am going to count that as a day this week for my 5 days of working out goal. Seems like it's not enough.

Did RI30 L1 & circuits 2-4 of BFBM. Wasn't able to muster out any additional p/ups...still stuck on 8/4 but I'll take it. Tomorrow will be NMTZ, Wed BFBM, Thurs RI30 L2, Fri Off, Sat BFBM or 30DS L1 &2.

I did day 12 of the 30 day slim down...some more, which is BFBM. I must have pushed it too hard on the ab moves yesterday because my obliques are so soar!

I'm going to finsh these 30 days and the take a full week off from JM. I think I need to mix it up a bit more. I may look into Bob's DVDs.

Kirchren~Awesome job on making it thru the whole workout emoticon I'm gonna have to give those two dvd's a try...right now the only thing I do is JM & am sure it would be great to mix it up.

I plan on doing RI30 L1(gotta try & get in more p/ups) & circuits 1-3 of BFBM when I get out of work.. Great job everyone!!

Saturday was a yoga day for me. I did an episode of the old "Inhale" show with Steve Ross. I absolutely loved that show, so I'm pretty happy that I taped some before they took it off the air. I even went through converting them over to DVDs and removing the commercials because I just love them so much.

Sunday I did Bob Harper's Totally Ripped Core workout. WOW! I have to say that this is the first time I've made it though that entire workout & boy was I proud. Sure, some of my moves were not exactly good form, like the way I have to use a hand to help me get back up from the rollbacks, but I did GREAT! Love Bob's workouts. He kicks your behind. If you ever really want to push, try Pure Burn Super Strength or his Total Transformation dvds. Those two are really amazing. I have yet to make it 100% through Pure Burn, but maybe this week I'll try it again.

Keep up the good work, everyone. I met my 5 workouts per week this last week, so I am happy about that too!!

Did 1-6 of BFBM today...just couldn't get myself to do that last circuit. Hard to believe there are only 4 more days left in Jan, I think I might try 30 day slim down for Feb. Awesome job everyone...keep up the hard work emoticon

Thanks Rheyn! I was thinking about revving up my metabolism when I decided to try jumping lunges. I couldn't do thema few weeks ago, so i'm excited to see some progress. I couldn't do as many as Shelly (i think that's her name) but my form was getting better by the end of the 2 time around.
And 4-5 hours of turbo! Woah! emoticon
You totally deserve a rest day!

I did somewhere between 4 and 5 hours of Turbo yesterday at the training, so today is definitely a REST DAY.

Get those miles, Kim!

Ali, even if you ate all your exercise calories back at brunch, the workout was worth it because you started your day on a positive note, revved up your metabolism, and improved your strength and CR fitness. It's ALWAYS worth it! (And glad you had a good time.)

I did 30 DS levels 2 & 3 this morning. But then went to brunch for my MIL's b-day so that cancels out that workout...along with yesterday's & tomorrows - lol! But I did enjoy it!

Ran 5.5 miles today. Feeling good. Didn't workout yesterday but did get in some time at the gym on Friday.

Just completed circuits 1-5 of BFBM & now I'm off to shower. Hate it when I workout so late in the day on weekends but glad I got it in. Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone...Monday will be here before we know it emoticon

Was able to get myself down to the basement yesterday evening for a 20 min interval run. I ran 4x this week, so I am feeling good :) Weighed in and lost a little more than a pound since last week. (working on getting back to where I was in mid December).

I did 30 DS level 2 & coach Nicole's cardio burst for an extra12 minutes of cardio (weigh-in day tomorrow & I need to compensate for some of the food choices I made this week...)

I was able to do unmodified p/u's for the walk-out p/u's. It's easier to do them with the "break" of the walk-out. Though I can only go down about 1/2 way, it's a start. I could only go down 1/2 way on the modified p/u's when I first started 30 DS...so I'll get there :)

Just finished & got in 8 pushups 1st time around & 5 the 2nd then modified(those stinkers are hard). I used 5lbs until the final circuit. Didn't get in those circuits of BFBM but I'm satisfied w/what I accomplished.

I never did a workout yesterday & was so disappointed with myself...been sooo lazy this week. I'm getting ready to do what should've been done yesterday~RI30 L1 & circuits 2&3 of BFBM. As soon as I'm done I will post my progress on the pushups(hoping this will help me be accountable to do it!). Normally take a rest day on Fridays but will do RI30 L2 when I get out of work tomorrow, BFBM for Sat.

Saimsam - it sounds like you got a much better workout than me!!! I'll have to give YM another shot and pay more attention this time. I really didn't sweat that much. And when I've read reviews of YM the most consistent thing I read was "i got really sweaty!"

I know I don't do the chaturanga push ups correctly. I end up bending my wrists and putting my hips down when i should be on my knees. I'll have to work on the form. I know with the DVD there is a tutorial, but I found level 1 for free on you tube!

I think if I'm going to like Yoga, Jillian's the one to get me there. I'm not really into "yoga speak" and I didn't get much of that from JM.

I'm supposed to do 30DS level 2 today, maybe I'll try YM again after that.

emoticon Ali yoga meltdown is hard.I tried it today. It was different and very hard.i was sweating way more than I sweat by doing BFBM or NMTZ . It is yoga but it kicked mine---- real good. emoticon

Day 7 of the 30 day slim down...some more! I liked yoga meltdown but had to do all modified moves, as I'm just not familiar with yoga moves. Once I get the moves down, I'll get a better workout.
I also added BFBM circuits 1-3, 5 & 7 for some extra cardio emoticon

I've been working on full push ups too, but have never been able to do 7 - go Puglove!

I think it must be the weather that's putting me in this rut...have no desire to do anything :( Yesterday I did RI30 L1 again & did 7 pushups for the 1st round & 3 for the second then modified. Had BFBM scheduled but think I might do RI30 again & add circuits 2&3 of BFBM for extra cardio.

emoticon Kirchren. I have "my fitness pal" app,now I am trying to figure out how to enter the food in different categories.

Today ...oh I did BFBM...oh my ...it was hard..my day started with a lazy mood.. emoticon .I was not in mood to exercise but I forced myself and did the whole thing.
I was like. emoticon emoticon And emoticon the whole time.

I had planned on BFBM for my workout today but just don't feel like it. I'm going to do RI30 L1 instead & try to rock out a few more push ups than I did last time...will also force myself to do BFBM tomorrow like it or not emoticon

Saimsam- that compliment at the doctor's office shows you just how much your hard work is paying off. I remember when I first started the Shred, people really noticed the change. For the very first time in my life, my behind didn't look flat and square. It was rounded. WOW! Keep it up.

If you have a smartphone, I love the My Fitness Pal app. It lets me log my food all day long and brings over information from my workout tracker Endomondo. When I enter my food there consistently, I stay on track & lose weight. When I slack on the tracking, I somehow overeat. I have also liked the food logging in SparkPeople as well. Good luck with that! We'll all beat this fat into submission.

For last night, I decided to pull out an oldie but a goodie from Jillian. It's a DVD from her Biggest Winner program called Cardio Kickbox. I did the elliptical at work during lunch and almost used that as an excuse not to workout after work, but that DVD put me in a much better mood. A quick half hour of kickboxing moves and calisthenics that really gets your heart pumping.

We've got a big snowstorm here. I love the snow. I know- what a weirdo. Anyway, the snow brightened my day. Hope you all have a bright one too!!!

Kimpossible - good to see you back and hope to see you here everyday.
Kirchren- I am dealing with the same issues,my weight loss is very slow.i eat healthy meals throughout the whole week and still my scale is stuck or it goes up and down around same numbers. I hope you will see some weight loss this Monday...
Puglove I think I need a food log too, because I am very bad with calorie count.

Today NMTZ...I am not counting the day because I am currently alternating BFBM and NMTZ.
Today I took my daughter to the doctors office, her doctor looked at me and said,"you look good and whatever you are doing is working for you." And I was like emoticon ( not exactly ) but I was very happy to hear the comment.( emoticon JM)

Keep up the good work girls and emoticon emoticon .
