Is there any way this thread could be made "unsticky?" It isn't active and takes up a prime location in the Challenges and CheckIns forum. Active threads on this forum are bumped down and aren't as active as they could be, because they aren't showing on the main team screen when you log in.

Any chance? Team leader??

Checking in again! I've been keeping up with my exercises and tracking my food really consistently. I've been adding in more strength training, which I'm enjoying a lot! I'm down another pound this week, one pound away from my goal!! Hope everyone is having a good week!

Yesteday: Challenge-10 each side jump ups with a bag of dog food + 2x Fitness Blender workouts: 20 min HIIT + 30 min Beginner Kettlebell

Today: Challenge-did level 3 Ab Ribber (not the last 5mins); did not do level 2, ran out of time. Fitness Blender workout: 25min Cardio Kickbox

Combining 30DS, GRin30 and Fitness Blender 8wk weight loss program with this challenge will be my goal for the rest of the month. The variety so far has been fun and motivating!

I came across a new-to-me fitness site: Fitness Blender and ended up doing a 50 min HIIT workout this morning that I loved. I will probably do the Yoga Meltdown this weekend when I will have enough time to do cardio + 2x yoga workouts in one day. For some reason I don't like 'just' doing yoga w/o cardio. However, since I stink at yoga, perhaps I should rethink the cardio before yoga! Anyway, I did yesterday's squat w/side kick, 25x each side.

Well, I won't be able to complete Day 4 today... I'm home sick with a sore throat, painful cough, and I'm pretty congested as well... If I'm feeling better tomorrow I'll do Day 5 and instead of having a rest day Sunday I'll do Day 4. I really don't want to fall behind, but we'll see how I'm feeling tomorrow...

RDINRI: I second that... emoticon ....on Yoga Meltdown.

I felt neither relaxed nor at my Zen during this workout. In fact, I felt like if Jillian told me to let my heart melt again, I was going to flip the TV over! I made it through though....having to take a break here and there during the dolphin (more like killer whale) pose! For cardio, all I could muster was my level 1, day 9, 30DS workout. I might try and do some Turbo Jam later today.

Day 4: 28min 30sec of Yoga Meltdown #1...felt so nauseous/sick to stomach from 20min on. emoticon The 28min was the longest duration of yoga this body has done! My wrists are still uncomfortable and my forearms now feel like rug burn. Cardio/strength before Yoga Meltdown: Shred 30 Level 2.

Yes, my wrists are still bothering me. I had to modify and stay on my elbow even though I had my wrists wrapped.

ALI_P7: I really like Kickbox FastFix! I've always had an interest in kickboxing so I was quite excited when this came out.There are three levels (Lvl 1 focuses on Upper Body, Lvl 2 Abs, Lvl 3 Lower Body) that are each 20 minutes long, which is nice if you don't have a lot of time to work out. It's definitely different from most of JM's videos (I have almost all of her dvd's, lol), but it gets me sweaty and energized and it goes by really fast! I feel like I get a good workout from doing just one level, but I really feel it if I combine two levels or all three! It is pretty fast paced and some of the combinations are difficult at first, but it gets easier after doing them a couple times. So overall I find it very fun and effective! LME _1212 - I've been thinking of getting Kickbox Fastfix, but read mixed reviews. The only kickboxing i've done is in banish fat, boost metabolism. How do you like it?

I love reading that so many people are rocking this challenge! I don't have any of the DVD's needed & only found yoga meltdown level 1 & 6W6P on youtube, so I couldn't participate emoticon

Day 3 done! Did 15 each side, no modifications. I also did JM's Kickbox FastFix #2 and SP's 14-Minute Basic Yoga Workout. Going to go for a walk with my fiance when he gets off of work!!

Day 3 completed. 30 total: 15x each side, all beginner modifications. Very weak core, prob. poor position as my wrists kill in plank/push up position. Cardio: 25mins jump rope, plyo, 10min step ups/stepper.

Day 3 done: I did 15 elbow/side planks in the beginner mode, and 10 elbow planks beginner, 10 side planks regular for both sides. For cardio I did 20 min Turbo Jam work out and Level 1, day 7 of 30 DS.

Lynsey- those star burpees were hard :) I'd never heard of them before.

I haven't got Killer Abs yet so did level 1 of yoga meltdown-I'm so out of shape-even that was hard for me :)

Day 2 done, I don't own Killer Abs, so I replaced it with level 1 of 6w6pk...and....that work out was crazy! LOL, right when I thought I was done, she says" alright, let's do it again" O_O'
And she knew she was wrong because she couldn't even keep a straight face, LOL. But it is all good. I am going to try and squeeze in a 20 min Turbo Jam workout, just to make sure I am doing good with my cardio, if I survive tomorrows workout...

Day1 also done here...I made the mistake of watching video last night then doing exercise this afternoon w/o watching...did 30 w/o the push-up. Watched video, saw my mistake, did 30 w/push-up. Cardio: spinning and jump rope

Day 1, done! And wow, those are harder than they look!! I was able to do 30 with no modifications... Will definitely have to work my way up to the 50! Going for a walk later to get in some more cardio.

LOL @ SHER65, I did modifications to modifications too! I did a little bit of the beginner star burpee because I got on my knees to push up, but I did everything else regular, including hoping into position instead of stepping into it. I was only able to complete 20, I was so winded! Whew, but I enjoyed it.

I'd already decided that post holidays I was going to get into a dedicated JM binge for a few months .... so I'm in with both feet!
I'd never seen any Zuska videos but enjoyed checking these out. A couple look fun and a couple - well - My body was traumatized just by watching the videos. I'll be doing as much as I can but will have to be with you in spirit only for portions of these reps/exercises (especially those three videos in week three - ouch).

Aww man! You will need the Jillian workouts for this rotation because it's focused on core strength. :( I guess you can double up the Zu exercises to make up for them?? It's an option.

Thanks for posting this & congrats on being featured in Fitness Magazine, Blackandi!! I'm going to try & find a copy today!

I'm going to try a modified version of this challenge. I don't have any of the DVD's in the challenge, except 30DS. I do have NMTZ, RI 30 & BFBM, as well as Coach Nicole's 28 Day Boot Camp. I'll be subbing on of these for the DVD days.

I've never seen Zuzkalight but just took a look at a couple of the videos you posted, she gives great instruction & her body is an inspiration! I think I'll be doing mostly beginner versions.

Should we check in here or will you be starting a separate check in thread?

Thanks BLACKANDI for doing another challenge. I could really focus on my core! I am looking forward to this one and I will be adding it to the exercise program I have set up already. (Now if I can just stick to the calories, I'd be set for a success!)

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays right now as I am. Looking ahead I'd like to start the year off with a good challenge for you all. Let's work on our core strength, balance, agility and coordination. How about it?

I am a ZuzkaLight.com fan and I do her workouts about 3-4 times a week right now and all of the exercises she does works so I'll insert some of the exercises she puts into her workouts into my rotation as stand alones (I know that's not a word ha!) for you guys. The strength to move your body as a whole all comes from your CORE so if you need to work on areas of fitness like strength, coordination, agility and balance do this challenge!

These workouts can be added to a rotation that you have setup already or you can do it on it's own.

TIPS (PLEASE READ):
1. Use the modifications where you need to.
2. You do not need to use added weight if you don't want to, body weight is just fine.
3. Look out for your KNEES and WRISTS if you're not used to doing these exercises!!!!
4. Pace yourself by doing 5 of the exercise at a time or 10 at a time if you become overwhelmed.
5. Watch your form because if you don't you will not get the benefits of the exercises and/or you will hurt yourself.
6. Remember to eat well because if you don't improve your diet you will not get the changes you want.
7. Try not to miss a workout...each and every workout counts.
