Kathy in Texas-
Don't get discouraged. I think I had a difficult time with some of Level 3, so I moved onto Level 4 and was more able to do those moves. I think Level 3 had the squatting jumping jacks? Those killed my lower back. There was also a backwards roll back to standing and that was pretty rough.

I am going to go back and try RIPL3 at some point. Just to see if I can improve on those moves/see if my back still kills after that workout.

Keep it up!!

Started Week 3 of Ripped in 30 today and what the flipping HECK?! That is some craziness right there. I don't even really feel like I worked out today because so many of those moves I just COULD NOT do -- my body refused to move that way. So they were ripping through 10-20 reps on the DVD while I was struggling to do ONE. Ugh. That was very discouraging. Trying to trust the process and believe I will get there before the week is over but I am not feeling this one at all. If it goes this badly tomorrow I may just bail out and either move on to Week 4 or do another week of 6 Week Six Pack. emoticon

Argh! This was D4 of W2 of Rin30 today but I tweaked something in my right hip/thigh during the first circuit and the second circuit made it worse, so I opted not to do circuit 3. So frustrating. I am not a big fan of week 2! Hope I can get back at it tomorrow, though -- I want to get at least 5 days in at each level. emoticon

Yesterday's NMTZ started out a bit slow.. my hamstrings are stiff so I made a mental note to stretch more after the workout and did my best until my legs loosened up and made it through the workout. I did notice yesterday that when I do the Renegade Rows (plank with pulling arms up) I am more stable. I used to roll my hips/body to the side. Yesterday I barely moved when I did them. Progress!

I repeat, I will not take more than a day's rest from JM cause these last few days have been brutal! NMTZ is my favorite of all the ones I have done of her so far but I struggled tonight but finished STRONG! I still like it better than BFBM...I hate the jumping...I always think that I am going to pass out from lack of oxygen! But now its time to celebrate whats left of my holiday until tomorrows battle! emoticon

BFBM completely exhausted me and I got completely soaked. It feels like it goes a lot quicker on this one than the other one. I did it and closed my eyes for a sec to catch my breath and I must have passed out, lol, cause now it's 3am and my bed looks mighty comfy emoticon

BFBM is going to be the death of me. I called Killian names I hadn't said in a really long time. I hurt so badly, maybe it was the back to back sessions or she just wanted revenge. I didn't give up though but yeah....wow! emoticon emoticon

Thanks so much you guys for the ab hold tips! I will try them. Week 2 is making me feel SUPER uncoordinated! But I did it again today and tried to follow along as best I could. Something is better than nothing, right? That one cardio circuit where you switch between plank jacks and mountain climbers is a killer! My shoulders are definitely feeling all this plank work but I'm not going to complain because I'm starting to get muscles! In my arms! Don't think I've ever had those! emoticon

Awesome, welcome back Peacey! Missed you around here. Great job as always sticking it to Killian.

M- you are right NMTZ was quite the workout. Lots of sweat!! Lol!

Kathy- I had problems getting my butt off the ground too. I just thought I had an extra long torso, so I focused on my tailbone toward my ribcage. I never did get it right, but I still felt it. And in the end, that's all that matters.

I'm so tired from NMTZ. Man oh man. I liked it a lot, but it was super long, she really overworked each muscle before going on, and there's not a whole lot of modifications that are offered. That's okay though, after Ripped I feel like I can do anything. :-)

Go Mighty Rubber Duckies!

Guess who's back after her 2 week slump...I am! I fought Killian twice with BFBM and then NMTZ....definitely like the latter better but I did get better at some of the jump moves on BFBM. But I was wore out in half of BFBM from not doing it, won't take more than a 1 day rest again....it hurts to fight back. I did though. I only caved on NMTZ by missing 2 pushups which is pretty good, alll things considered. emoticon

Kmsrrtx: I think the key to those ab holds is to have your arms a little bit ahead of your butt and pull your lower abs/hips into your chest... that is the only way I really felt it. At first I was actually on my finger tips instead of my hand until I figured it out.

Well.. Back to NMTZ and I forgot how much of a workout that is! I was dripping, and now my body is just weak! Feels great!

Day 1, Week 2 of Rin30 done this morning. That is some kind of crazy workout! That climbing up your own leg thing -- what is that?! They make it look so easy but I couldn't get past my knee. Also, I got NO clearance under my butt during the ab hold part of that tabletop slidey deal. Maybe my arms are too short? Or my butt is too big? emoticon

Was kind of lost for most of it but hopefully I'll catch on and be able to follow along a little bit better before the week is out!

Finished week 2 of 6W6P today! Taking tomorrow off and then it's on to week 2 of Rin30 on Monday. I watched it today to see what I was in for and holy cow! I'm not sure my body will move like that! I guess I'll find out, huh?

So far in the past 9 weeks I have lost 10.2 pounds and 3 inches off my waist. I'm trying to eat right but the only exercise I've done is the Jillian DVDs -- started with 30DS and now alternating 6W6P and Rin30. I am SO HAPPY to have found these DVDs! They really do work!

Great job Ashley and Meretoni on finishing Rin30! Wow! You are both an inspiration! I have NMTZ and BFBM but haven't tried them yet; I will be interested in what you guys think of them once you get started!

Woohoo! Done, RI30 is DONE! I'm so excited to have done this and I feel so much better that I have completed it. We are super heroes for accomplishing this task Meretoni! Great job. I've lost 10+ pounds and I'm sure that I've lost inches because I put on a pair of size 14 jeans. Not the 18's that I had been wearing, not the size 16's that were supposed to be my next goal. No! I actually skipped a pant size. AMAZING!

Next week is NMTZ and BMBM! Woohoo, can't wait!

So sadly my last day of Ripped was yesterday. No Jillian today because I am not going home after work, straight to camp since traffic is going to be crazy if we wait until 5 like we usually do. So walking will hopefully get in today and starting Monday it is more Jillian with her NMTZ & BFBM!!

Have a great weekend!

One day left! If only I could stop sabotaging my efforts. I'm not eating right. I feel my muscle toning up, but not eating right is such a slippery slope, I'm lethargic and whiney, and I'm getting a gut again. Sigh.

Also, my AC quit, so I'm super sweaty and hot and uncomfortable and in a foul mood.

Blargh, I can't stand myself right now.

Awesome! M, I think that situp/crunches modification is great! I think you have to do what ever you can to just work through it.
Kathy, great job! I've never tried 6 pack but it sounds tough. Keep up the good work!

I haven't been good about checking in this week, but I have been consistently doing it every morning! I've noticed that the chaturanga pushups and the supermans with weights are working and I love it! It actually hurts to swing my arms when I'm walking, jeesh!
2 more days!

Day 2 of Week 4 was yesterday and I figured out that last Ab workout to make it work for me. I presently struggle with sit ups. Crunches I can do, and am getting better at it so, my modification of that last exercise is to crunch and try to keep it, bring my legs up, raise my butt off the ground and put my legs back down. And I felt it. I think this is a good modification until I am able to do an actually sit up.

Only a few more days, but I won't be able to get my last day in unfortunately. We are leaving for camp as soon as I get off work since it is a long weekend and we don't want to be stuck in traffic. But I will get my walking in that day no matter what!

Finished Week 1 of Rin30 on Saturday. I know there is plenty of pain to come but I am loving Rin30 so far! Week 1 was fun and felt like a good workout. This week is Week 2, Level 1 of 6W6P. Week 1 of this one nearly killed me so I'm pretty much just hoping to survive the week! emoticon

Well, week 4 I liked more than week 3. I didn't want to cry and although I still modify sections I did the whole thing nearly non-stop. Ashes, the chaturanga pushups I did on my knees but its was hard to do, and the last ab workout I really modified. I really struggle with full on sit ups. So I did crunches instead. I tried a sit up but my abs are not strong enough yet... one day I hope. I would love to be able to do a sit up!!

The first circuit with my poor quads was shaky, as in my quads/legs were shaking! But It was good times. And the plank mogul things were fun although my shoulders were screaming and I had to take a quick break.

4 more days!

Day 1 of week 4, RI30 = Awesome
I really liked this one. It was fun. I was expecting to not be able to do it and as circuit 3 came around I was pumped and cheering back at the TV, yeah! The chaturanga pushups are the exception though. I just don't have the arm strength in order to have my elbows in. Even in the easier form, I still can't get all the way down. The Moguls and Burpees were really fun even though they are hard work. And at the end of it I feel relaxed and refreshed and I like that she takes the time at the end to build you back up after yelling at you. emoticon

Day 3 of week 3 is done. Am I ripped yet? I don't think so, just exhausted LOL. I am a little embarrassed to say that I can't do those one legged hop things. I thought after a few days it would happen just like everything else is coming together, but alas I keep slapping myself in the face with my breasts. It's IMPOSSIBLE. Then when I holds them down, my balance is off and I nearly fall head first into the TV. I'm sure I look ridiculous!

Meretoni-Kickbox fastfix has 3 20 minute videos and extreme shed and shred has 2 45 minute workouts (I think). The kickbox one would work better with my lifestyle since it's shorter and I would do it before work, etc. Then again I could do both if you wanted to.

Oops, I haven't been checking in but I have been working out! Today was Day 4, Week 1 of Rin30. I'm getting less sore as the week goes on, just like with each level of 30DS. Can't figure out why that didn't happen with 6W6P, but I'm back to that next week so I guess we'll see what happens! Still can't hold a hollowman for the whole 30 seconds -- ugh!

Day 3 is done and I think I am getting better at this. Still can not do those rock and roll things. I tried the first time around and still got dizzy, so second time around I did some high knees. Still exercising although not following Jillian... and I am ok with that. But I didn't want to cry although I still ended up soaked and sore. Speaking of sore, my thighs were achy today, those bear crawls and duck walks are killer. Definitely modify those duck walks!

I kinda wish this week was a bit longer (10 days?) just to see how well I could do in twice the time. Meh, I got 2 more days and then week 4 to look forward too.. yay me.

Peacey, I have no idea how you did it... but I have so much respect. And you did it alone! :( At least I have Ashes to help along...

Is anyone looking into buying any more JM DVDs? There are two I am contemplating... Extreme Shed and Shred and her new Kickbox Fastfix.

Yesterday's week 3 day 2 was hard but a wee bit better since I kinda knew what I was doing with some exercises... those rock and roll things I still can't do. I get way to dizzy. The fiance said to not do them if it's going to make me so dizzy. I am just trying to think of what to do besides that...

I still sweated buckets and was dead at the end of it... but only 3 more days..

I want to cry.. again.

Ashes... I didn't fair too well.

I got dizzy doing those roll back ab things. I tried, but the vertigo was making me nauseous and I think I got 2 in. The duck walks after the bear crawls are near impossible. I tried so hard but I ended up literally yelling out loud a bad word and attempted the modified, still hard and my quads hated me the rest of the workout. Oh and those side raises, possible (except my legs keep going up) but my triceps die afterwards and then she wants me to do a triceps table after that? YEAH RIGHT. And those downward dog pushups? I do find them easier than standard pushups (since I can't do one of those) but the second round I felt as if I was going to fall head first. Yup.

And how do people get their shoulders so high off the mat when doing abs?

Ashes, I am hoping too that I can do more of this by week's end. I think at the end of this week my legs are going to be rock hard. Either that or I am going to die. Jillian lies about not dying, I felt myself slipping away by circuit three.

Jillian Michaels, I have one thing to say to you: SHUT UP!
I am so mad at you. Why would you make this torture session? I could hardly do week 3! I had to take a lot of breaks to catch my breath and some of those stupid maneuvers you came up with just to piss me off, I couldn't even do them! Talk about frustrating! I hope I can do this by the end of the week, but it'll be a miracle I'm sure!

Meretoni-I hope you have a better go at it than I did.

Hey didn't have time to yesterday but I finished week 2 of ripped in 30.. then I decided to sneak a peek at week 3... looks interesting. I attempted a duck walk, and I can do a couple, but let's see if I can keep it up for 30 seconds, twice.

Week 3 in 2 more days.. yay...

Woo! That's like 2 hours of Jillian right? My you are a persistent and motivated gal! I woke up too late yesterday to get ripped (up til 4 the previous day), so I ended up skipping it yesterday. But I still got my other sweat in OF COURSE!

I also see myself getting better by the 4th day. Today was my 5th and pushups aside, I pretty much rocked it. Amazing! I can't believe myself! Of course, I'm absolutely terrified to start week 3. All that progress will be pushed aside yet again as I get beaten up AGAIN.

I have an NSV! I have an NSV! I have dropped 6 1/4 inches in the last month (since the near end of Shred) 2 1/4 from my hips alone. Yippee! I tried on my goal dress yesterday and GOT IT ZIPPED! I'm sooo excited!!!

Trying to make up missed workouts is hard but I completed NMTZ so I'm good, 2 tomorrow and I'm all caught up! I still have to modify the surrenders and plank lift with the weights but those are the only two....I really love NMTZ! emoticon

Just finished BFBM and I can truthfully say that I can getting better by the amount of breaks I don't take. Its still challenging but I still like it. My body feels great after 2 days of interruptions and no workouts....Yeah, life gets in the way! I will make up the rest this weekend...I need those fitness minutes!

Day 4 seems to be the turning point for me, too. I noticed that at all three levels of the Shred, and today was my 4th day doing Level 1 of 6W6P. I'm able to hang in there a bit longer and my balance is getting better, but side planks are still my kryptonite! And I am still walking out to a plank instead of doing burpees, but I will try that suggestion about keeping my knees apart more and see if that keeps me from falling on my head.

I think my hands are just taking the bulk of the resistance. I'm on carpet. I tried using a mat but I sweat so flippin much that it acts as a slip n' slide! I am still slipping some on the carpet. I think I'm getting rug burn :-/ plus all the weight is not helping the carpal tunnel any. emoticon

Ashes: How are planks doing that to your hands? I do mine on a yoga/exercise mat with my hand on the mat and feet/body off it (only because when I do the jumping in for mountain climbers and squats I can't jump off the mat high enough and it ruins the mat). I am working out on a hardwood floor so I need the mat, but my hands don't hurt at all. My shoulders on the other hand....

I am getting better at balancing as well. I still falter from time to time but overall I am storking strong! lol

I have no idea what my problem has been lately! The day before yesterday I couldn't mow my lawn, yesterday I didn't get my run in nor did I mow my lawn yet again! Today, come hell or high water I will do both! God help me!
This morning I did day 4 of week 2. Yay. I am feeling more endurance while I do it and I can see a difference in my shoulders, belly fat, and hips. I am also getting better at balancing while doing the stork stance with low row. It's all about focus and not relaxing the pose!
Anything in plank still sucks, and skin on my hands are getting ripped apart (maybe I should get some gloves) so the fact that you are doing them longer and faster and partially unmodified is freaking awesome! You rock my face off Meretoni!

No time to check in yesterday we had so much errands to do after my work but Day 3 of Week 2 was done and I did more this time around. During the evil plank set (jacks & climbers) I lasted longer and I did the climbers quicker. Also, with the plank squat things I actually did part of them unmodified. My shoulders and arms started to die so I switched to the modified version but I was happy with my performance. One thing I do however is during one of the ab exercises (one where you are suppose to touch your foot with a sit up) I do the modified however I do it more like a bicycle crunch than the just raising your knee to your chest. I find I feel it more.

Well, 2 more days then off to Week 3. Help...

Woo! That's great Kathy! Welcome to the thread! Won't be too long before your life is completely changed!

I got day 3 done this morning but I've been so busy at work that I couldn't get away to check in. Then when I finished work I was so exhausted that took a nap. I told myself it would be 20 minutes...it ended up being 3 hours. I'm trying to talk myself into getting up and doing my run. Ahhhhhhh, it's so hard. I just want to sleep!

Thanks so much for the welcome, everyone! Day 3, Level 1 of 6W6P done this morning -- whew!

MERETONI - I am loving 6W6P. It's mostly a core workout with cardio thrown in. There is some upper body stuff (planks, etc.) but not as much as the Shred. I expected to feel it mostly in my abs, but I'm feeling it in my shoulders, lower back, abs, glutes, hammies -- pretty much the entire lower body and core area. It's a killer of a workout but it's definitely doing something!

Done with NMTZ for the day...still only 2 moves modified so I'm excited about that. I can honestly say that I only pause during the workout because I am usually blinded by sweat that I have to stop to wipe myself....I sweat uncontrollaby during this. I sweat alot with BFBM but not like this! I even think my pushups are getting stronger and I kind of like that idea that I am improving in some area but the sweating is the pits...literally emoticon thats me smelling my arms after the sweat!

emoticon KMSRRTX!!

How are you liking 6W6P? I bought it but have yet to try it. I heard it's not just abs but a whole body workout. And don't worry about Ripped in 30. It is hard, and evil but it can only be good and cause change right? Also, for burpees I did them but my knees were out to the side instead of how they did it (knees together)

Speaking of which, Week 2 Day 2 wow. I nearly cried at the end of it, but I think it was because I had a huge headache before and after givin'er I made it worse. I feel better now, although I still have the headache.

I feel like I am cheating on this because of the amount of modification I am doing. I was able to do 2 climbing pushups modified before switching to just pushups. the plank squats were modified and even then I had to take a break because my arms/shoulders were dying and not to mention I don't do it as fast as the girl either. Only 3 more days so I am hoping I see some progress, which I am sure I will!

I was sore all day today and know I will feel it tomorrow too.

Welcome KMSRRTX emoticon

You see I threw the mat out for you, glad you made your way on over. We post regularly here because we didn't want to hi-jack 30ds thread but still need the accountability. Rin30 is brutal, I finished 2 weeks ago but Meretoni & Sunny (out-of-ashes) are on week 2. I am on week 2 with BFBM and NMTZ so you will love it here. We try and try again until we whip Jillians butt backwards, hasn't happened yet but still we try. So make yourself comfortable and have a little convo with us! emoticon

PS - Hate burpees so I modified it by doing air to floor squats with my hands up and then reaching down between my legs to pat the floor with my hands in squatting position with my abs in and reaching back up to the sky on the come up...works me good too!

Hey, everyone! Now that I've finished the 30DS, I'm moving on to alternating weeks of 6W6P and Rin30 so I guess this is where I check in for those? This week I'm doing 6W6P -- yesterday was D1 and today was D2 (of Level 1). Funny how I thought I was totally in shape after the Shred, but after taking only one day off between that and 6W6P I am so sore in muscles I didn't even know I had!

Also, it appears I am physically incapable of doing burpees. I don't know if it's because my legs are too long or because I'm working out on carpet with shoes or what, but I can't jump my legs back while my hands are on the ground without falling forward onto my head. Since I have no desire to break my neck, I'm just doing walk-out planks instead.

Now you guys have me scared about starting Rin30 next week! But I mean that in sort of a good way. emoticon

Meretoni-Ahhhhh! What were we thinking?! My hands are on fire today from holding myself in plank and my butt hurts from those lunge/leg lifts. WTH!

Peacey-You were right. And I just read your earlier posts. I can't believe you did 2 of these a day to catch up. Freak! LOL

This is NOTHING like 30 Day Shred! Just looking at her helpers, I want to punch her in the throat. They all have abs of steel. What's up with that?

Day 2 of Week 2 is done. Hallelujah. I can die now.

I'm soaked once again from BFBM...some days I rock it, other days I feel like I'm dying from the 55 minutes...today was one of them days. I was so glad it was over. Sweat is running down my leg, nose, inside of my elbow and every where else!

I told you guys Rin30 was hard...please reread my earlier posts, you will either laugh or shake your fist in agreement at what I wrote! Its a killer...unlike 30DS, when she promises that every level goes up, she delivers. I think she had a point to prove since some super athletic a-holes was saying that 30ds wasn't a challenge and we paid for it...help us! emoticon

Ashes... help. I am soaked with sweat and my arms are about to fall off. I hate the plank circuit too.

Peacey - how on earth did you do it? This week is hard! And I am scared to think what week 3 is!

I couldn't even DO the push up leg thingy. I tried over and over but ended up doing just push ups by the end of it. Plank squats are evil, leg climbs are 'interesting', as are 90% of her ab workouts, the side lunge with leg raise is.. well I want to see what happens in a week with that one. I try, but the leg doesn't go that high up! And the pendulum chest thingy is tricky.
On the good side the stork workout is fun, legs are a little wobbly however and the warm up foot touches I like.

I need to take a shower and fall over on my couch and sleep now. Yup. However I WILL be here tomorrow kicking butt once again.

Woo! Given your past enthusiasm with other videos, I just know you will see this one through! You got this emoticon

As for me...WOW, I can't believe how exhausted I was during and especially after I was done with the first day of RI30 week 2!

I'm trying to think of which exercise was the toughest and I can't really. It's kinda across the board. It might have been the cardio circuit with all the planks... I started off not modifying them and in the end I HAD TO!!

I'm taking a short breather right now, then after some lunch I'm going for a run. Shoot me.

Done with session 3 of NMTZ and still mostly blasting through it, I hope my enthusiasm for this one keeps up, I like it so far alot more than BFBM but I am getting better slowly with that one as well. Its just so much jumping. Day 6 all done...on to week 2 on MOnday....I earned the rest day tomorrow! emoticon

I had a graduation to attend after work so no Killian yesterday so I am doing her double today. Session 1 of BFBM done. Still doing all exercises regular but 4 but I modified 2 of the 4 in my way and liked it better than her modified and could still feel the burn so yeah me. Sweat is still pouring like a fountain but I moved the bod anyway. I took mini 6 second breaks and then rocked it out harder starting back up. I feel awesome so 1 more with NMTZ and my 6 sessions this week is complete! emoticon

Sunny- I knew it would take time with the side planks before you started feeling them, when you do it means you're doing them right, I didn't feel them at first either.

Okay so Day 5 is done and I am pleased with what I accomplished today! Running Mans (only one 5 second break) and the oblique side planks, I think I got it. If I focused on my ribs touching my hip, I was able to feel it working more.

Have a great Saturday!

I can totally imagine it, now if only I could execute it.

Day 4 done! Funny, today I did not do as well as I did yesterday...go figure. I was definitely a hot mess tho.

Tomorrow I am all in! I won't be doing it Sunday so 5 days of week 1 will have to do. I'm giving it all I've got, just like Killian demands!

I am more excited for week 2 than worried because believe it or not, I'm actually a little bored with week 1. Peacey has me worried about week 3 tho lol.

Week I is great with Rin30 no complaints from me but after 2...nah, I hated it but I saw more changes with it in my body so I consider that each dvd makes me better. 30ds gave me endurance, Rin30 gave me strength and endurance and now BFBM and NMTZ is giving me definition, I can feel it and I'm not dreaming, I can feel the change before it happens, my body is giving in. Still overweight but still keeping at it.

NMTZ second session was tonight and I'm proud to say I only modified 2 moves but did everything else advanced. With the side planks in Rin30, I believe that when you are not a professional that you won't be able to raise up as high they are but when you brace your arm, breath in and keep your legs straight then as you pull your obliques in that you will feel your hips raise slightly and your shoulders move at the barest minimum as you are using all abs to pull up. This a fat girl overweight assessment and I barely could lift up before on Rin30 but now I am getting some sunlight as Killian calls it...hopes that help.

Ashes: I don't feel it so much in my ads either with the side planks. However I tried what she said about rolling your shoulders back and that helped. I felt it on one side. I tried on the other side but I fell over lol.

Day 4 and my poor hamstrings are still sore. One more day on week one and then off to week 2 on Monday. Scary. It is going so fast compared to 30DS, course it makes sense though considering 30DS is 10 days each level.

Thanks Melissa! I agree, this is really helping me stay accountable.
Meretoni-I don't think you are doing them wrong. I don't think there is a right or a wrong way so long as you are moving/jumping/shuffling. I tend to shuffle cause I can't get my footing quite right.
Peacey-I like this new name, I think I'll adopt it.

I did day 3 ALL THE WAY THROUGH!!!!!!! I was so happy with myself. emoticon
Still can't do real pushups but I keep trying (I did about a half one today, before collapsing to the floor) I don't think I am doing the side plank oblique thingys correctly, I'm just not feeling it in my abs at all. I am doing the modifyer, and my hip isn't touching the floor and I'm not letting my shoulders do the work...yet I still am not feeling it in my abs. hmmmm.

That is all.

Day 3 of Ripped is behind me. No side stitch today thankfully! I did the whole kit-and-kaboodle.

Ashes: The running man is not fun at all... The are very similar, or at least I do it similarly (more of a bend in my knee though), to the cross country ski thing on BFBM. So maybe I am doing them wrong (peacebunny??) but I get them done although I am huffing and dying by the end of them.

Peacey (I'm gonna call you that from now on since I tend to type it anyways, and then correct myself :P): Both of those DVDs are bad when it comes to sweating. I was soaked, dripping buckets, throughout the whole month. I felt great afterwards though and the sweat coming off of me was a part of that feeling for sure. It might let up a bit, but overall you will be soaked all month :P

MelissaKing - I started doing regular pushups on level 3 of 30DS and just continued on Rin30 and now on NMTZ...but I wasn't aware as I was busy complaining about Rin30 that I hadn't realized that I made that accomplishment until Meretoni mentioned push-ups.

I am sitting here gushing sweat from every pore after session 2 day four of BFBM&NMTZ workout plan. BFBM will be the death of me in a good way, after only session 2, I have modified about 4 of the moves and 2 will probably stay modified until the end because of the jumping involved...I haven't made it this far to get injuries now. I am still pausing for 2-3 seconds and then continuing on but so proud of me....hope I keep it up! NMTZ tomorrow, session 2. If I do it as planned then it should be 3 sessions of each per week for the next 2 months, I'm tired already. emoticon

I agree, do not beat yourself up for missing a day, you need at least a day or two off per week, just count that as your rest day! I took yesterday off from working out because I did a 5k Sunday and then did Yoga Meltdown and a run on Monday so I figured I deserved it. Today I did 6 week six pack, and I think it gets more intense every time I do it! Love it though, just hate side planks, I don't feel as if I am doing them right, they are too hard!! Also PEACEBUNNY I have to tell you I am amazed, if you can do push ups without being on your knees, you are a machine. Despite a great improvement in my strength and endurance that is just something I cannot do. Keep up the great work guys, love that we can come here to keep ourselves accountable.

Sunny- I am letting go of the guilt and just moving on when I mess up cause thats only way I can keep going so I'm glad you didn't guilt yourself too bad. I hated the running mans all way to the end of Rin30 but I can say honestly that by week 3...I could do both sets without stopping but still hated them.

Meretoni- I won't mute her probably for your same reasons but I still like that I have the option to do so...haha!

Peacebunny- Freak, I am so amazed by you.
Meretoni-I can only do the running mans for like 15 seconds, they are worse than jumping jacks! Even with a stitch, you are a rockstar!

So CONFESSION,
I ordered chinese take-out last night instead of cooking and was so fatigued and sore from the day before still that I DIDN"T DO RIPPED! I feel horrible, but I just could not get it together. Sigh.

New day, I got up bright and early and powered through "Day 2" this morning. I feel very pleased that I did it! I feel like I'm back on track and I am not going to let the fact that I didn't do it yesterday be the ruin of me. Phew! So that's settled. I'm moving on!

Day 2 of the Ripped in 30 was yesterday and sadly I had to take a few seconds break during the running mans only because I got a stitch in my side. I took a breather, got it out, and kept going. My hamstrings and shoulders are hating me today. That last circuit with the shoulder flies and arm raises are rough on my shoulders. I guess they will be top shape after this!

Peacebunny, I did like the thought of shutting her up during the workouts but never did. There are some things she says that helps me through, and I got to the point where I knew when she said a certain something that the workout was almost over lol.

Sunny & Meretoni- I just did day 2 with No More Trouble Zones and it was a good workout and ironically enough, I liked it more than BFBM. I could feel the ab work and I only did like 1 or 2 of the exercises in modified form and took like 2 second breaks to get accustomed to the exercises. What I like about both dvds is that she gives you the option to mute her when you workout...whats not to love about that. Back to BFBM tomorrow and yes still no modified pushups...maybe I am starting to get better at this...hmmm emoticon

Somehow I managed to sleep through my alarm this morning, so I couldn't get RI30 done this morning. I will have to manage this afternoon. I'm not looking forward to it. I can barely walk today. Yesterday I ran 2.72 miles (as far as I could get in this heat without passing out) and did day 1. So my hammys are DYING.

My new modified plan for today is to run to the gym and hop on the elliptical for an hour in hopes of stretching out my hamstrings a bit, run home again and mow my lawn, do day 2 of RI30 and then make dinner. It's going to be kinda rough. I hope I can manage this for 6 days a week. I may need to do 5 so I don't over do it.

I'm pretty much a modifyer queen. I couldn't possibly do a real pushup! YIKES, you are a beast!

Meretoni- thats great, I initially thought it was great because I was doing most of the advanced moves on level 1 but it broke me down on level 2. The odd thing is I never did 1 modified pushup the whole time and still hated it so thank you for reminding me of an accomplishment! You will do AWESOME but the jumps weren't as hard for me and my knees did well.

Peacebunny: I was struggling with BFBM and NMTZ at first, but you will get better for sure. By the end of my month I was almost able to finish each DVD non-stop. At first I was huffing and puffing near the end and maybe getting a few reps in (those damn twisting abs/knee things were hard!) but like I know you know, you are going to KILL it by the end of the month. :)

Ok, so I forgot to check in yesterday, but I did my first day of Ripped in 30 and yes Peacebunny, I liked it. :p I guess being week 1 it was kinda of easy. But what she says about getting harder each week kind of worries me. Mind you so did the 30DS.. but I managed! I did feel a bit queasy after I was done, but that might have been because except for the push ups I didn't modify any of the workouts and didn't take a single break. Woo me! Push ups I did try to do a standard one, and I got one in but knew that I would only get maybe one more in and decided to go to my knees so at least I could do the full 30 seconds (twice). Even with the modified I was struggling near the end. I slowed down compared to Jillian's pace but I got it all in.

I'll be doing Ripped for 5 days (Mon-Fri) and with lack of space at camp, and being in nature and no where near the city, Saturday is a 2.5 hour walk. :)

Sunny- I am finished with Rin30 and I'm gald of it. That said , you guys may like it more than I did, I hated it but I can honestly say that I didn't give up. I did day 1 of Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and liked it but it was a bit long and I struggle a bit with some of the jumping exercises per my usual...only I expect to overcome that at some point. I could do most of the exercises and was proud of myself for basically keeping up and not struggling as much as I used too. I will do this 3 days a week alternating another 3 days with No More Trouble Zones as I did Rin30 6 days a week...should be interesting to say the least.

Week 1 Day 1 complete! I have to say, it finished much sooner than I expected. I think maybe the warm up and cool down are longer than they need to be and yet I'm thankful for them. emoticon
I was kinda shaky too. I think if I had forced myself out of bed sooner I would have been fine, but I let myself get too hungry.
I think tomorrow will be better since I'll know what to expect.

Tried 6 week 6 pack level 1 last night and I really liked it! I expected it to be all moves that you felt just in your abs but it wasn't like that at all. Abs aren't even sore today! Now I guess it is time to figure out a plan for my workouts, or maybe I will just alternate through all of the Jillian videos I have.

Thats excellent MelissaKing, I bet it feels good to be back on track. I start BFBM next week along with NMTZ as Meretoni did for this month. That will be my June workout! I am on my last week of Rin30 and glad that I hung in there for this was certainly no picnic! I just did level1 and have 1 more day of it this week....whew! emoticon

Gave Banish Fat Boost Metabolism a try today and I liked it. Great workout but not too crazy. I knew most of the moves already from other JM workouts. Definately sweating but no moves I couldn't do. My only issue with this workout is it is longer then the other ones I was doing and I had to stop a few times to chase my 10 month old lol. I am definately back on track with my exercise but I need some willpower for my diet!

Man, yesterday's NMTZ was hard to get through. I must of done something the day before because my thighs were hurting! I made it through but was wiped out afterwards!

One more week!!

You can feel sore tomorrow or you can feel sorry tomorrow. YOU CHOOSE.

Come on MelissaKing- jump back on the wagon you can do it especially since you can hang with level 4 of Rin30 which I can't which is why I am repeating levels 1-3 for this 4th and 5th week. No doubt about it this dvd is still challenging after 3 strong weeks of doing it. I have 1 more day of level 3 tomorrow and onto my 5th and final week of Rin30 on Monday. Even with out level 4, I am damn proud of myself for sticking it out for another month straight, and made up my missed days...Yeah me! emoticon emoticon

I have totally fallen off the wagon this last week. Lots of things going on and lots of treats and my workouts have suffered for sure. Tried Jillian's Yoga Meltdown today and I enjoyed it but doesn't feel like I got a serious workout in so I am hoping to get out for a run this evening. On Wednesday I went back and did the week 1 workout of RI30 and I was surprised what a challenge it was. I think it was harder this time then when I first did it! I am planning on doing a 5k run next weekend so I really need to focus on getting some running it over the next week.

Yesterday was some more BFBM. The fiance was around during it and as always, he was all "encouraging" in his own way lol.. telling me to get my knees up higher in the standing mountain climbers for example. I had to stop half way but told him I am doing much better considering not a couple weeks ago I could barely do a couple and now I am doing it almost all the way through.

Slowly but surely!!

Peacebunny: I am going to take Ripped in 30 like I did the 30DS... take it each day at a time and probably worry when starting each level but doing it all regardless! It will get done!

Meretoni- You can do it but it will a rough steep and hard challenge, that I can promise. I just did my 2nd day of level 2 of week 4 Rin30 and yes its still hard but you feel so good about yourself when you finish or maybe because you're finished...lol! 2 days of level 3 and I start my last week of this same cycle again Monday! emoticon
