Level 1, Day 2: Wow, my calves are aching--a good ache. I think I need to wear shoes, though, my toes hurt from the lunges. I might take a rest day tomorrow so I don't overdo it. I'll see how I feel in the morning.

Level 2 is really killing me. I have done 17 workouts and still cannot get through the whole thing (its just discouraging). I have improved and am very close to completing the whole level without stopping, but still struggling with jump rope, pendulum lunges and squat thrusts. I am moving on to level 3 on Sunday regardless. That will be 20 days so time to move on. Endurance has really improved, strength somewhat and generally I do feel better.

The race is not to the swift, but to the one who endures to the end.

My heart rate monitor is telling me that I'm not burning as many calories as in the other levels. I wonder what's up with that. I've added some kettle bell swings to up my total for level 3.

Level 2 Day 12 (I think, my calendar is at home, I'm at work) completed. Day 1 was awesome but soooo a fluke. I thought Level 2 was going to be easy...HAH! I am still trying to complete this level without stopping. Hopefully by Friday I will be able to move on.

Level 2 kicks my BUTT!!! My HRM says I burn 270 and I believe it. I remember this being the hardest one for me the last time I did the shred. I am a lot stronger this time though.

Level 2 day 3 done!
I started playing music during the workouts. It helps me to get through some of the moves that I find difficult: pendulum lunges and chair squat with v fly. Those kill me! My mind gets to wander while I squeeze at the top!

I did the shred 2 yrs ago and it helped me break through a plateau. I'm hoping that will happen again! Glad to see others are shredding too!
When I get bored doing the same thing everyday I kind of zone out. I visualize my fat sizzling away because my muscles are on fire and before I know it the workout is over!

I did level 1 today, having demolished myself doing it a couple of weeks ago... I am intending to do 30DS only on non-running days, as I am currently training for a Half Marathon. It wasn't nearly so agonising as it was last time!

I did 30DSL1 for the second time today. I will do it one more time on Tuesday, then move on to level 2. Yesterday I did Yoga Meltdown Levels 1&2. I love Jillian's yoga! I really want to try yoga inferno too. Maybe that will be my reward for reaching my fitness goals this month. A new Jillian video! :-)

I've been doing the workouts consecutively, but using a lighter weight than I would for just a strength workout. For me right now I'm just trying to kick start my workouts again so most, but not every day is the shred, there are rest days in there. I don't consider the day done unless I've done some cardio, usually walking or jogging.

Does everyone here do the 30DS workouts on consecutive days? It seems like you would need to give your muscles a chance to rest in between workouts, so I only do strength training every other day, especially when it's the same muscle groups/same workout. So this month I'm doing 30DS 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays, NMTZ on Thursdays, yoga on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, and cardio on Tuesday through Sunday, Monday is rest day. What about you guys?

i weigh in tomorow. i dont think i lost anything. i have been struggling with some of the jumping. my knees and ankles were not happy about it. i will admint i did not give it my all. i finish an 8 week weight loss challenge and was hoping this whould help me get rid of some more. i will know more tomorrow.

Day 12 , day 2 of level 3. i did some low intenstiy stuff so i awas all warmed up. i dont like the shred warm ups. they should be a little longer and at a lower intensity. i dont think jumping jacks are a warm up. i do like the arm crosses/circles. knee circles are good too.

i am getting a little frustrated because i am not losing weight. i feel stronger and i am using less excuses to skip workouts

day 8, 3rd day at level 2. i delayed my workout last night, I ran errands and got home late. i went to mow lawn and the mower broke so we had to take it back to the store and get a replacement. so it was late when i finished and i was exhausted. i cleaned my kitchen and went to bed early.

Tonight i got back on track and finished day 8

Day 7 - did several low intensity options. i was not feeling well but i did it anyway. i am using lower weights then i have in the past. tomorrow i plan to do the moves a little deeper and wiht a larger range of motion.

Level 2 Day 7 - I am thrilled with how my body is performing to this workout - I noticed how much stronger I was on day 5 of level 2 - I'm out of town right now visiting my boys so I brought my dvd with and did it yesterday for day 6 - will be doing it again today. Very happy with how I am feeling - I know I have gained muscle and my clothes are fitting differently now. Let's see I am 17 days in to this dvd, love how I feel!

Day 6 - Started level 2. i will admit it- i started making excuses to skip tonight: my abs were cramped, i was tired, i was not in the mood, i needed to start making dinner..etc
after 40 minutes of mental whining i realized they were all excuses to avoid what i needed to do to reach my goal. So i went ahead and did it. it felt great afterwards. i ended up just grabbing a freezer thing -not the best choice but i did not go out for drive thru;.

I'm on Day 5 of Level 2. I started to add in extra cardio. I'm getting fitter and toned but not losing weight. I have not taken any measurements yet so I don't know about inches. I'm over 50 so I think that is why I need to add the extra cardio. Level 2 is pretty intense.

I fnished yesterday 30 day shred and missed only 2 days due to TOM. Perfect workout lost inches and weight, more inches than weight. but I feel and look great. I am now doing Sean T hiphop Abs for 30 days. Good luck!
