3 mile walk today. 8.6 miles total for the week. Son's wedding is tomorrow and Sunday is rest day, so hopefully Monday I can get back on track with my regular program.

Good day Sunday ~~ I've been sitting here trying to decide what my exercise routine will encompass for the next 4 weeks. It will include 3 weeks of strength/cardio/stretching and a "recovery week" to consist of mainly cardio/stretching.

Week 1-3:
M- CLX Push Circuit 1 (arms/legs)
T- Leslie Sansone Walking, Abs
W- CLX Extreme Intervals (cardio/resistance total body)
T- Leslie Sansone Walking, Stretch
F- P90X Chest & Back

I purchased a Foam Roller that is used to strengthen, stretch & help relieve muscle pain. I will use it daily to help with the left leg piriformis muscle syndrome. Help keep me accountable this week! Let's walk away the pounds!

This morning I did anther 45 minute walk/jog (3 jogging intervals) outdoors and it felt so nice (65 deg). Before bedtime, I applied Biofreeze pain gel to my left butt/leg , swallowed two acetaminophen w/sleep aid, and slept on a heating pad all night long. I woke with my left leg feeling so much better than previous nights. I know the issue comes from the sciatic nerve being irritated.

ChickForChrist: you've got some excellent workout routines.

Good Day Wednesday....just finished KenPoX (58 mins cardio intense kickboxing) and it kicked my tail...lol...I did some "running in place" during 4 of 27 exercise moves due to my being uncoordinated with them. This workout definitely leaves one dripping with sweat..omg! I immediately prepared a Whey Protein Fruit Smoothie as a "recovery drink".

This morning I completed a 45 minute power walk outdoors with NO jogging as a way to "rest" this left leg. Funny thing is that it doesn't bother me during workouts...only when moving or sitting or sleeping normally.

forgot to post last week. Total of 7.6 miles walking my dog. Also was cleaning up the garden plots we rent from the park district. Picking and loading about 30 pumpkins. Picking 2 dozen squash then cleaning up the vines so DH could till that area in. Besides that and the yard work at home, I really needed to get through all the papers that had accumulated, so wasn't able to exercise as much as I would like. I hope to be better this week.

If it's to be, it's up to ME.

Listening to some good music while power walking outdoors this morning I didn't even realize 70 minutes had passed. I came indoors and did the 8 Minute Core Abs (included plank and side plank). I was happy to be able to hold the plank for those 50 seconds without going down to knees.

Since Sept 1st, walked 7 miles (Leslie's 10-Day Challenge) and did 22 minute tone and burn on Sunday and 12 min cardio burst on Monday (from Nichole's 28-day Bootcamp) And of course, warm-ups and cool-down stretching emoticon
