Well, I had that bad cold, it lasted forever, I only did a few more walks, and now I need a total restart! I was working on habit, so started my 1 mile a day goal but my husband has convinced me to run my first 10k in May. So I am starting a Runkeeper program 'Sub 65 minute 10k' It has 61 workouts. So, I don't know how to apply it to this challeng other then to say I did my workout.

I'm 140lbs overweight and seriously out of shape, so I am starting slow. My goal is 360 minutes of cardio for January. I'm looking forward to getting to the point where I can start training for a 5K.

I'm also going for consistency and forming habits, so 15 min/day sounds great. I already made a goal to run with the dog for 1 mile, so I'll just log the distance instead of minutes if you don't mind, but it comes to about 15 min.

Since I'm training for a half marathon in March, I'm scheduled to run 3 times a week. I need to add some ST in there, too. I'm going to set my goal at a minimum of 1000 cardio minutes for January, but I'm hope to get close to 1500 overall exercise minutes.

I would like to start a January Cardio Challenge. You decide how many minutes you will do each day/ week. Post your goal and return to this thread daily / weekly to record your minutes and update your progress towards goal/ minutes left. You can post just the number of minutes, or the exercise you did along with the number of minutes
Example: Goal set: 1000 minutes 1/1: 30 minutes walking 1/2: 20 minutes zumba 1/3: 20 minutes marching in place
minutes left: 930 Beginners, start out slowing. Remember to be safe and push yourself but don't over do it.
