Okay everyone today ends our challenge. for those of you that have sent me your final weight thank you. for those who have not i will be using the last posted weight you gave me or your starting weight for those who did not post. the final weights must be made today (sunday). I have enjoyed being your team leader but must say I am disappointed in myself because I have failed the team by gaining weight from all the stress. I hope i can do better next time.

Can I weigh in Thursday? my Curves is revamping and will be closed Friday and the rest of the weekend (and monday is a holiday)

I weighed in today at 270
down 4 pounds!!! emoticon

I interval walked 2 minute walk 5 minute fast walk for 50 minutes( I don't run yet!) but let me tell you I weighed in first and I was flying on that treadmill!!
Completed rest of todays bootcamp!!!!

When are we supposed to post updates to our weights? I weighed in at 186.3 today. (So down 2.9)
I saw my doctor last week, had a full physical done and he gave me go ahead to shoot for 3 lbs per week by adding a LOT of walking. I have a follow up September 30th to see how much more I need to lose then. (He thinks 20-25 would put me in healthy range because my BF% is low)

okay here is the new updated workout list for this week. you will find the link to all of the video workouts marked with a * below at the bottom of the list.

Monday 8/25
*Boot camp day one
20 jumping jacks
2 sets wall pushups (12 reps)
2 sets wall squats (12 reps)
daily water
3/3 fruits and veggies

Challenge for monday, do a walk/run (or fast walk) relay. walk half a block then run (fast walk) the next. go as far as you want but get at least 3 walks/3 runs(fast walks)

Tuesday 8/26
*Boot camp day 2

*10 minute jump start cardio workout

challenge for Tuesday: get at least 30 minutes extra of your favorite cardio. mine will be belly dancing.

JONISMARIE-thanks for the weighing time information.
I don't own scales, so I use the ones at Curves, they are the doctor kind, you find your weight on them, and I have problems doing that so I always know I have a margin of error.
But when I went for my workout Friday, (in the afternoon) I think it told me I weighed around 262...but then I weighed myself after my workout and I actually weighed more! I think 266 or something...
I really just wish I could get myself a scale, then I wouldn't worry so much!
(I had a weigh and measure Tuesday, and the woman who works there weighed me at 265...so I don't know)
Oh and I haven't been overeating or anything, or anything out of the usual...

okay there has been a question about the best time to get an accurate weight and so from my doctors and trainers I have been told to weigh myself first thing in the morning right after you pee but before you eat anything. this gives you your correct weight without adding food and water to the mix. also by getting your weight before your workout and after a workout is a good thing to do and here is why. weigh yourself before a workout and then after a workout you will have lost water weight which you need to replace as soon as possible. lets say i weighed in at 213 before my workout and then after my workout i weighed in at 211 thats 2 pounds of water or 16oz that i need to drink within 2 hours of my workout. by drinking this water i am flushing the toxins from my workout out of my system.

Holding on at 274 until I can get back to my regular scale on Monday!
I'm tired today, the humidity about did me in, i've got to work in it tonight and in the morning so I'm taking it easy today. I've been hitting the pavement all week and adding time and that's always so much harder on my back and knees. I'm off to do a weight workout and load up the car for market though so I'm not completley off the hook! You all ahve a great evening!

Hey Hawks,
I assume we might weigh in sometime this weekend, so I weighed myself at Curves today.
I weighed in at 262! I'm not good at doing the doctor's scales, but I think that is accurate.
I've been weighing in on the mornings, before a workout and always seem to be higher, 266 yesterday. But today it was in the afternoon, I assume that perhaps at lunch (I had like 3 cups of water or so!) that maybe I lost water weight or something.
I even weighed myself after the workout, 266 or so. I'm told that weighing yourself after a workout gives you inaccurate results, so I won't go by that number...but it makes me think that when I weigh myself I should be well hydrated for a good reading. Does this make sense?

JONISMARIE, I would contact your local hospital that treat children. I know that we have have a local Ronald McDonald house and they often take in blankets, Knit hats for kids and babies. They might accepts the booties. I do know they need to be from a pet and smoke free home. It's idea at least you might be helping another child.

I make quilts and sell them e-bay one I did in tones of pink and donated part of the money to american cancer.

off the subject of workouts.. I made three pairs of homemade baby slippers for my friend but well she wont need them and she hasnt seen them yet so I was thinking giving them away. I found a place that I can donate them too and so I am going to donate them in the name of my friends baby. She is doing better today, and they say that tomorrow she can get visitors so I am going to go and talk with her. every day for me has also been getting easier. the are so cute that I wanted to keep at least a picture so I did.

I have completed my day, almost I just need to do my last set of squats and push ups they will be done as soon as I post.

I have no kids to chase around, will chasing my husband with his walker count? He just had his hip replaced (2nd time) and he is one big kid!!

okay everyone, our total starting weight for the team is 3769.6 lbs. I am not going to post everyones individual weight because some of you want to keep yours private which is fine. now that we have a total we can work to reduce it

okay everyone I got my computer back and now i can get online more often. I also wanted to thank everyone for the support. this past weekend has really been hard on me in more ways then one and I am so glad that I have my team here to help. I only walked a half mile today but it felt like a ran a race. i did drink my water and also did my workouts. I hope that everyone is doing okay... I have 4 people who have not responded with their beginning weights so i want to know should i post our starting weight without them?

I finally managed to drink half my weight in water yesterday and I have to tell you that I should have just set up camp in the bathroom. I felt like one of the ladies on those Detrol LA commercials...gotta go gotta go gotta go right now! emoticon

Okay everyone, my friend was admitted to the hospital for suicide watch with no visitors so i can refocus on taking care of me for a little bit. this weekend was very hard and I know i ate more then i should. I am posting this weeks workouts here and also a few more fun things to try

Monday (8/18)
2 sets of wall squats
2 sets of wall push ups
30 minutes of cardio
20 jumping jacks
20 minutes of me time
2 fruits and 3 veggies
8 glasses of water

Tuesday (8/19)
30-60 minutes cardio
Daily water, fruits and veggies
me time

wednesday (8/20)
2 sets of wall squats
2 sets of wall push ups
30 minutes of cardio
20 jumping jacks
20 minutes of me time
2 fruits and 3 veggies
8 glasses of water

Thursday (8/21)
free day, do what ever makes you feel good
30 minutes cardio

fruits and veggies

Friday (8/22)
2 sets of wall squats

hi everyone, I am so sorry that I wasn't able to post this weekend. one of my best friends delivered her baby at 5 1/2 months and the baby only servived for a day and a half so I was helping her. since this is sunday I will be posting the workouts in the morning. i am waiting for 4 team members to post their weight so as soon as i get it we will have a post of our total weight. until then dont forget your 30 minute walks and daily water and fruits and veggies.

Went back to work today, Good thing it was salad day at work, I had my fill of veg and fruit.
Got my walks in during my breaks. This week will be a lot better I'm off till next Saturday, Husband is home from the hospital. so now I should have more me time. No more running around except at the gym and the neighborhood.

Today was my weigh in day. I am at 189lbs still. :(
I guess that is better than a gain!
I will be doing an hour walk and my strength training. I also will be reactivating my gym membership this week.

I am doing really well. I walked 5 miles each day and did 40 minutes elliptical/bike a day. I went and bought an elliptical machine today so I can keep it up.
I have not been drinking all that water. The max I will drink is 10 cups. If I did half my weight it would be 14 cups I would have to drink.

I think I made it! I tracked it all, and my cousin is health food crazy in a good sort of way, I got in my veggies and fruit, yes I had some bad stuff (dips are my downfall but I went light on them,) I did the 1/2 plate and more of veges and I tried bulgar for the first time( she had it in a salad!)I'm exhausted and I feel that even without a "walk" today I did enough physical to count for cardio and strength no matter what any tracker tells me! I'd be in bed but I want to watch Michael Phelps last Olympic race for 2008. You all have a great night and wonderful Sunday! My special thing for myself tomorrow is to sleep in emoticon emoticon

I had 4/4 for fruits and veggies today, so I did well there.
walking, I did a 30 minute 2 mile walk with walk away the pounds
I'm getting my water in too!

So the sun is out now! Yeah!
I did do 45 minutes of tj and 10 minutes of stretching. Felt oh too good.

Jillybean24, sounds like a full day!! very physical and active!!
I did my push ups and squats added a few extra. walked for 60 min, to the mall and back with my packages. Nice and sunny day thought I'd mow the lawn low and behold one and only one gray cloud in the sky and doesn't it rain on me. But I keep going!!
Veg. garden tomatoes, peas
Fruit blueberries grapes and an apple.
The rest of the day is rest!!!

We are all in this together we can win!!!!!

Did great on Friday!
Been consistently adding minutes and speed to my 45 minute walk. Did pushups and wall squats.Just starting to add weights and recording it. Today will be harder to get walk in, worked very hard this morning at farmer's market, that should count for something, loading up, unloading, loading up again , then coming home and unloading. Baskets , tables, 10x10canopy and more!plus a busy market,my grown children help us so that was my play day with them I've been up since 3 a.m. I have 2 parties to attend today and while I have been consistently in my calorie range and even low a couple days I don't know if I will make it today. I'm doing my veges and fruit at the party. I'm doing squats and pushups after this then off to get ready for the afternoon and evening!Will probably walk twice tomorrow out of guilt for the team!My first week may not reflect it but I am out to help as much as I can!

Friday: Did my 100 crunch challenge, with 20 minutes of TJ and had 4 veggies and 2 fruit servings! Also drank 120 oz of water and then some!
(It is still raining and has been raining since Th) Any fun ideas other than workout videos and cleaning house to burn calories. Our mall has been torn down to build an outside one!

ok did the wall push ups and squats
Made a stew so that gave me 3 vegs (potatoes, carrots and peas)
fruits grapes, apple and blueberries.

SMOX12- Where are you from. My weather has been rainy since yesterday and it stinks as I wanted to do my 5 mile wog tomorrow and the road will be much too muddy! :(

Morning team! How's everyone doing?!?! We are headed into the weekend which is the worst time for many of us! If you can't stick to it for yourself, stick to it for your team! I rode my bike for 30 minutes yesterday...stray dogs cut my ride short...scary! Anyways, it's raining today and supposed to all weekend...guess it will be videos and eating extra careful for me all weekend!

About the water: I should drink 114 ounces in water?! I had 80 the other day and was exhausted from it. I don't think that would be possible for me.

Okay I have a few more people that haven't given me their weight yet and as soon as i get everyones i will post our total team weight. the goal here is not to try to lose weight to where it is unsafe. the goal is to lose NO more then 2 lbs a week unless you are under the care of a doctor or have a specific trainer that knows you and your weight loss. to aid in your weight loss please remember to drink at least half of your weight in water so that you flush the toxins out of your body. we can do this and we will do it together. i encourage you to get to know your fellow team members and try to leave at least one message a day on someones sparkpage. this is and will be a great way to make friends and lose weight so..... GO HAWKS

Okay Hawk team, i am your captain. our goal is to see if we can beat the other teams by losing the most weight so please post your weights by friday so that I can get a clear count of our starting.
I am also going to include here the workouts for this weekend

my starting weight is 213.

Thursday August 14
1 set of wall pushups
30 minutes walking
stay within your calorie goal

Friday August 15
2 sets of wall push ups
1 set of wall squats
30 minutes walking
at least 3 veggies/2 fruits

Saturday August 16
today is family day play a game with the kids
2 set wall squats
2 sets of wall push ups
30 minute walking
3 veggies/2 fruits

Sunday August 17
30 minutes walking/cardio
3 veggies/2 fruits
workout rst day.
Do one thing for yourself today that makes you feel special.

I will post next weeks schedule on sunday night.
