Even though I didn't start gaining and losing until my 30s, if only I knew then what I know now. How hard my life was by doing the yo-yo and binge thing.

I used to think I had all the time in the world to lose weight and just one more binge or weekend binge wouldn't hurt.

Those habits really become entrenched the longer you don't deal with them.

But it's really hard to get most people to realize that time really does go by fast.

Joann,
Why are you beating yourself up? Would you do that to a friend? No, you would encourage your friend and remind your friend that they are only human and not to give up. Be your best friend. emoticon
Be patient with yourself. Tell yourself that you can do this. If you trip and fall, help yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going.

How do you stay motivated? Read other peoples testimonies.
They didn't lose 100 pounds in a day or a week.
They had their good days and their bad days but they kept on going.
Well, we need to work on that every day.

Remember, It is a journey and sometimes there are bumps on the road and the emoticon weather is lousy. Sometimes its a HUGE pothole. Then there is the beautiful smooth road, and the weather is great. emoticon Sunny.

It takes time to learn to change the way we think, the way we move, the choices we make.
Tell yourself that "JUST FOR TODAY' you are going to track your food.
JUST FOR TODAY you are going to walk. JUST FOR TODAY you are going to drink that water.

Take it one day at a time and hug yourself. You are beautiful and precious. emoticon

Joann - I'm not the one to ask because I don't want to come down on you too hard:)

Your SparkPage says you're only 24. Do you really want to waste the rest of your life? Are you thinking that maybe some day you'll wake up and the motivation will be there?

Do you have the ability to see in to the future? What your life will be like? What you will miss?

So you went off your diet and gained. You did it yourself. So undo it and get right back on and keep going.

Some days you'll have motivation and other days not but just keep at it. Don't waste another minute of your young life thinking someday, tomorrow, after the weekend, etc.

The time is NOW!

Hugs!

Bombshells checking in this morning. Internet service is very poor. But I hope this works I did have a loss this week, I am going to try and post my weigh-in Sorry I can't do a success story, I think it would take me an hour plus of waiting to accomplish that task.

Dusty--- Can you sign me up for the new challenge, I will try my best to get to that link but who knows!

I have done well on this challenge, my husband (who has been gone the entire challenge said to me last night... you've lost weight) Woo Hoo. Going to try and weigh in now and find that link to the new challenge.

Hugs to you all. Donna

FUTURE SUCCESS STORY

How I lost 155lbs the Healthy Way and KEPT It off!! By Laticia B.

I grew up as a skinny kid, a late bloomer. Teased for my slender form and flat chest (kids are sooo cruel). I was so happy when puberty finally hit and I got some curves and cleavage. Unfortunately, my eating habits were not healthy not to mention because of being poor, we usually skipped out on the healthier options. I mean why spend $3 - $4 (in The Bahamas) on whole wheat spaghetti when I can get 3 packets of Noodles for $1? So meals consisted of an unhealthy Bahamian diet, fried foods, French fries, desserts, candies, chocolate bars, cheese doodles and potato chips.

Along with unhealthy eating habits I had an extremely stressful life. And apparently I am one of those people that gain weight when under stress. I had to start working at 13 to help my sometimes abusive mother pay the bills and help raise my 4 siblings. I had to start paying my mom rent at 16. I moved out on my own at 17. Worked and paid my own bills from then until now.

I started gaining weight at 15. Went through a few years of trying all sorts of diets from 'Fit for Life' to 'Suddenly Slim' and even joined a gym. Some worked for a while but of course I couldn't keep it up and gained all the weight back plus more.

One of my most memorable aha moment was taking my son on vacation after getting out of a horrible marriage. We went to a theme park and they had a sample seat for you to see if you could fit in it. Of course I could not get it to close over my stomach. I was so ashamed and secretly glad that my son was too short to go on that ride.

So that was it. I had had it! Not being able to fit in the ride. Having a fear that the seat belt on the plane would not fit and I would have to ask for a seatbelt extender. Always having my son sit next to me so I could spill over into his chair. Having my shallow husband reject me for gaining weight, claiming he no longer found me attractive. Being banished to the back of every store to find the not so cute, plus size rack while walking past all the more beautiful and varied 'normal' sized clothing.

I was at the end of my rope. I ate emotionally and always felt hungry. Then one New Year's Day in 2008 while watching infomercials I saw SparkPeople's commercial. It sounded great and it was ALL FREE! A price you can't beat. I thought it was too good to be true. But I had nothing to lose but the weight so I signed up. I lost some weight but stopped doing everything I was supposed to do then gained it back. I started over in 2009 and lost about 60lbs but I gained back about 40lbs after dealing with a year long plateau.

I now knew the secret to healthy weightloss but was not successful. Why was that I asked myself? It was very vital that I found the answers.

HERE IS WHY I FAILED EVEN WITH SP.

1. I felt that it was too time-consuming to log onto SP everyday.
2. It was too time-consuming to log my food. EVERYDAY. Ugh!!!
3. Being underpaid for years did not help me as I simply could not fit SP's expensive healthy meal plan into my life. (I was spending over $200 a week in grocery).
4. Because I stopped going on the site I cut off my source of encouragement.
5. I started to eat unhealthy again.
6. I hit that plateau and after a while lost my motivation to exercise and gained most of the weight back.

2013 rolled around and I was still super obese and sitting on the secret to permanent weightloss yet squandering it. I was disgusted with myself so I decided to do something about it once again.

HOW I LOST THE WEIGHT AND KEPT IT OFF.

1. I learned from my past mistakes. I was now wiser. I knew what caused me to fail and was resolved not to repeat it.
2. I strived to track my food regularly.
3. Visit SP regularly and participate in all that I could.
4. Started training for a 5k and fell in love with running. Exercised every other day and kept moving on other days.
5. Discovered SP Team Challenges. How did I miss those all these years?
6. Changed my mindset when it came to 'expensive' healthy food. I deserved to buy healthy food for myself. I am worth it. Plus, I was saving money by not purchasing unhealthy food and eating out everyday.
7. I focused not just on the scale but also on inches lost and how my clothes fit and how my body was becoming sculpted through exercise.
8. I found the secret to taming my hunger and unhealthy cravings. Eat a well balanced meal of mostly veggies.
9. Limit my salt intake and sugar intake.
10. Learned that too much sugar and carbs made me hungrier all the time.
11. Had SWEET fresh fruits after every meal and my cravings for unhealthy desserts and candy VANISHED.
12. Stopped drinking my calories (goodbye Mountain Dew) **sniffles. Hello, water and skim Milk.
13. Learned which foods stopped my weightloss. Like Chinese food or other high sodium foods and alcohol.
14. Learned which foods kept me 'regular', kept that weightloss going. (Melons, Beans, Vegetables, Cottage cheese, sweet potato etc)
15. Ate mostly Meatless Meals. Who knew this carnivore could do it?!?

So here I am at a healthy weight and holding fast to my healthy habits but still enjoying great food. Fell in love with a wonderful man who is TOTALLY devoted to me even at my heaviest. I have been keeping the weight off and we go running together regularly. I can shop in ANY clothing store and nothing is off limits to this fashionista. I actually enjoy clothes shopping now!

I love my new body and my new mindset. THANK YOU SP AND FRIENDS! What I thought was too good to be true, turned out to be Truly Great!

Laticia.

My future success story:
I was always a bit on the heavy side. My mom's home baked desserts were the best, and I absolutely couldn't resist them. I'd sneak bites of it and hide. When I went to college, though, is when the real issues started. I lived on fast food and pizza. I had my school classes and 2 sit-down jobs. I quickly gained weight over the next few years. I finally topped out the scales at 347 pounds. My feet and knee always hurt, and I had no energy.
I had been on sparkpeople for a while, but hadn't really applied myself. I finally realized that I actually have to do the work of watching what I eat and getting exercise. It was very hard in the beginning, but I stuck with it and now have lost 175 pounds..... half my body weight!! The pain in my feet and knee is much decreased and I am able to keep up with my daughter now as well. Yay!

20 emoticon for my success story

My success story

I grew up never thinking about my weight. My grandmother raised my after I was taken from my mother and from age 7 on I worked on our family farm, played pretty much ever sport I could, and was always doing something. We never ate "healthy" food it was always deep fried and although our vegetables came out of our garden they were always covered in butter or coated and deep fried.

Towards the end of high school I injured my knee horse back riding, I had some complications from it and slowly started to put on weight. To be honest I didn't notice until about a year out of high school when it was time for a hockey game and I went to put on my old high school sweatshirt and it was really tight. I made a ton of excuses for myself I was working two jobs, taking care of my grandmother with Alzheimer', volunteering EMS, going to school, and recently engaged and it was "normal" to gain weight.

Fast forward a year and my life had fallen apart. My grandmother had died, I had miscarried and my relationship had fallen apart. I followed a crazy impulse and moved across country. I was easily pushing 220lbs by now but was ignoring it and the scale.

I spent the next two years building my life in my new town. I completely school found a great group of friends and found my place. I cooked the only way I knew how which was way to much food for just me and ended up eating huge portions, I starting working night shift and was still volunteering so my schedule was crazy, I was low on sleep, and stressed. I was eating my feelings instead of addressing them although I didn't know it at the time.

At 21 I got married and was about 290lbs and still in denial. My marriage lasted less than a year and I once again ate every time I wanted to cry and ballooned up to my highest weight by then end of year at about 370lbs. I was depressed, tired all the time, and an emotional wreck.

My moment came when I saw pictures of myself as the maid of honor in my best friend's wedding. I couldn't deny it anymore I looked nothing like I did back in high school and most importantly I wasn't happy. I went from eating everything and anything I wanted to eating almost nothing. I lost some weight then stalled at about 330lb.

One of guys I ran rescue with suggested a consular. He told me how he had buried emotions from calls and it had led to him being diagnosed with PTSD. I had a lot of problems from my past starting from when I lived with my mother to some of the EMS calls I had ran, so after about a month of him pestering me I finally agreed to make an appointment. It was the turing point I needed.

About two months after my first appointment with the consular I joined SparkPeople, my consular had suggested something like Weight Watchers but it just wasn't in the budget. The amount of weight I wanted to lose seemed like an impossible task but I start to find Spark Teams full of other people trying to reach the same goals and full of people who had already done it.

The tools turned out to be what I needed. I used the food tracker both on my phone and on the computer and would spend hours at work when I otherwise would have been mindless eating waiting for calls reading success stories and doing research. I schedule 15 minutes a day to get on SparkPeople to check my mail and to read something motivation. I started wanted to beat my activity time from the week before. I joined a gym with the encouragement of a friend from squad and fell in love with Zumba.

It took almost two years but I lost 196lbs which brought me to my goal of 145lb. I am bigger than I was in high school but I am happy. Due to the fact I have finally managed to deal with my emotions instead of eating them.

Its been 5 years since I lost the weight and I couldn't be happier. I have joined a local softball team, and I am finally raising the family I have always wanted. Thanks to losing the weight I am the mom I have always wanted to be and can run and play with my kids.

My Success Story: 6/21/2016
I have been overweight since I was a child. Since letting go of the hurts of the past helped me to stop hiding behind my weight and running to food for comfort, I won’t go into what caused me to gain the weight. What is important here is how I lost the weight. I joined Sparkpeople in 2006 and lost 50 pounds. I gained 60 pounds in 2007, lost 50 pounds in 2008, gained 55 pounds in 2009. In 2010 I had 5 surgeries to remove my twin’s organs from my body (true but very long story). I was not even sure I would live through the year so I don’t think I stepped on a scale at home. In 2011, I was healthy at last. My extra organs were no longer killing me. I felt better at 43 than I ever had until I stepped on a scale and realized I weighed 310 pounds. I am five feet tall. My waist was 63 inches. That expression “Wider than she is tall” now applied to me. I hired a trainer for six weeks and lost 60 pounds in 3 months. I gained it back in 2012. I returned to Sparkpeople for the support but I was on the wrong teams. I chose fitness and running teams because that is what I want to do in the future. But I couldn’t relate. Most of the people in these teams were not overweight and had really not been much more than 30-50 pounds overweight. I needed support and understanding. I found the 300+ team and found encouragement, understanding, and support from women and one man that had experiences similar to mine. I started doing things a little at a time. I gave up soda, two weeks later I started going on short walks, added in more fruits and veggies. It took me two years to lose 200 pounds and one year before they could remove my excess skin. That surgery was 5 months ago. I was miserable for about 3 weeks but I am now fully healed. And for the first time, comfortable in my own skin!
I just got back from my REWARD vacation to Europe. We walked and walked while seeing the sights. Something I would not have imagined was possible three short years ago. I did not wait until I had reached my weight loss goal to get started on my bucket list. When I lost 100 pounds, I went skydiving. When I lost 150, I went zip lining. I have walked, then jogged, and then ran in some 5k’s. I go dancing with friends. I actually enjoy leaving my house. I graduated with my degree in Accounting, got a decent job, bought a townhome (my first home purchase), and started to live again. It took a lot of work to lose this weight. It was definitely more mental work, than physical actually. But it is so worth it! Bet you wondering why I am telling you this since you have all watched me do this and cheered me on the entire way. It is because Dusty and Sparkpeople chose me to be a 2016 Sparkpeople Success Story. Thank you my wonderful 300+ team!

Hi team

I went to the Jimmy Buffet concert yesterday complete with pre-concert parking lot parties. Lots of walking around, but I suggested we go to the restaurant across the street instead of eating ballpark food. Salmon, veggies and potatoes. Healthiest concert food I think i ever had.

Hope you all had a good weekend.

20 emoticon My Success Story

I grew up in a large, loving family where portion control and calories were unheard of. I come from a southern family who equates love with food. We celebrated all of life's ups and downs with family dinners where EVERYONE requested their favorite foods. If vegetables are served, they are seasoned with bacon or butter. The only thing we steam are tamales and those are made with lard.

I have always been big, There were a few unkind people who said nasty things while growing up, but I have always been surrounded by family and friends who have kept my self-esteem high no matter what weight I was.

In college, I finished my freshman fall semester at 200 pounds. I went to Weight Watchers and by summer had reached 150. I transferred schools and began working and going to school. Late night food runs, the stress of balancing work and school and cheap junk food took their toll and by the end of college and my wedding I was up to 220 pounds.

I moved far from my family and began my career and own family. I hovered around 220 pounds for several years. During this time my marriage to my childhood sweetheart fell apart. I would lose weight to make him happy only to have him say that wasn't the reason he didn't love me. By the end of my marriage, I was 250 pounds and depressed.

I returned to my home town and slowly regained my self-esteem. I made some new goals and achieved them. My daughters and I flourished. In time, I found someone that I could trust and remarried. We had a third daughter together. We will celebrate 10 years of marriage in 2014.

The only regret that I carried was my weight. During my divorce, I continued to gain. When I remarried, I weighed 270 pounds. After a complicated pregnancy, I weighed 320 pounds. I gave up on myself and with the help of a fractured leg, reached the ultimate weight of 350 pounds.

After much soul searching and the love and support of my family and friends, I realized that only I could change my weight. Things would never get easier or less hectic. I had to make the decision to regain my health and self-esteem. I needed to make changes so that I could enjoy my children and their children. I needed to set a good example and help them avoid the mistakes I had made.

After years of dieting, I knew that I needed to reduce my caloric intake and increase my activity. I needed to burn 700, 000 calories to lose the 200 pounds of fat that my body was drowning in. With the help of the tools and community support and accountability of Spark People, I set short and long-term goals.

It took me a year and 9 months to lose 2 pounds per week, but on April 24, 2015, I reached my goal weight of 150 pounds. I celebrated with my family and friends by renewing my wedding vows on a beach in Mexico.

That was 10 years ago. Now I am a grandmother to one special grandson. I love taking him to the zoo and playing in the pool. My middle daughter is getting married in June. I am having a blast looking for wedding dresses with her. I am looking forward to getting my mother of the bride dress, too. After the wedding, my youngest daughter, who just graduated from high school , and I will be taking a trip to Costa Rica. We are going to zip-line through the rain forests. I do not think I would be able to do these things I had not taken control of my weight and make healthy choices to regain my health.

In four years, when my youngest is finished with college, my husband and I are going to retire. We plan to travel and play with the grand kids. I am blessed beyond words. I look forward to what the future brings.

Hi everyone.

My success story
Outside it was a dark cold winter night with the snow falling but inside the lab the lights were burning bright and the level of excitement was high. The formula for the worlds most effective diet pill was finalized. The pill causes all food to taste and satisfy like Reese's Peanut Butter cup. Broccoli, lettuce, cabbage - everything healthy. Other variations of the pill causes food to taste like ice cream or chocolate. Testing on myself has resulted in a 100 pound weight loss in 1 year. Work continues on the Pizza version of the pill.

Hi Bombshells!

I've been trying to post since Thursday this stupid computer! So let me catch up. Okay so as to Thursdays challenge I did great until late that night I wanted to get something in quick that night b/c errands had ran much longer than planned so I dropped the ball, but I did give it a go the next day & did very well.

Marcy-what kind of kettlebell workouts do you do, dvd, books, create your own, etc...

Sonia-So nice of you to get groceries for your neighbor. You don't hear of that anymore

Earn 20 Pineapples

How I gained it

I was a chubby child. pleasantly plump teenager. Fat mom... Obese middle age woman.
Well, you get the idea. I just kept getting heavier and heavier with every diet, I was given a list of do's and don'ts and I would lose. stop my diet. then gain. So with every diet, I just got fatter.

As time went on I just hated myself. I wouldn't let anyone know, but I just wanted to die.
I was there for everyone. I took care of everyone. but I didn't know how to take care of myself.

I finally realized at the age of 40 that I was suffering from major depression. Medication helped me to stop fantasizing on ending my life which was a relief. so I started focusing on learning to love myself. Accepting myself. By then I was 380 pounds.

How I lost it
I read a book, "The Sugar Blues" and realized how that was poison to me. I started thinking of it as cocaine and started avoiding sugar and refine carbs. I started eating brown rice and whole wheat bread. I went down to 364.

Then one beautiful day in July after my 58th birthday, I found Spark. I learned my way around it and liked what I saw. I was ready to change my life. I was ready to learn a whole new lifestyle. This was NO DIET. This was going to be my life forever. I was in no rush.
I learned to be patient with me and take it one day at time. I learned to make healthy portions and track my food. I started drinking more water.
I gradually lost 60 pounds and was able to move better. then I knew I had to start exercising.
I joined a spa and started doing water aerobics with was easier on my bad knees. As time went on I started walking three times a week and strength training two times a week and saw that I started losing at a quicker speed.

Reaching my goal weight of 160 was amazing. I lost 204 pounds!!!
I still can't believe it. I look in the mirror and I just can't believe it.
I don't have to take my diabetes medication anymore and I can jump and run now.
I'm in my 60's and I feel younger than ever before.

Back on the 10th. we had a Mini Challenge to read about SparkPeople's new feature, "Calorie Ranges Based on Fitness Tracking".

I know some of you might not read our Announcement Features or receive SparkPeople Notices but SparkPeople now has it that everyone CAN NOW have the option to switch back (and forth) at any time.

Catherine's, a plus size store, had a 50% off everything in the store sale. Since they are normally pricey, I get everything I need during the two major sales per year. They play fantastic 50's music in the dressing room, the really catchy tunes. So, I tried on a shirt and checked how I looked dancing with it on. Since I tried on close to 30 shirts, I am pretty sure I got 15-20 minutes in. It was noon, and there was only one other lady there. Too funny. She had lost a lot of weight and could barely find anything to fit (too small) but she loves the store so she kept trying. I wished her well and said great job.

Spent several hours sitting in meetings today. Quite the change for me really. Try to do acts of kindness daily but nothing from today pops in my mind. Some awesome stuff posted from my fellow bombshells. This team really rocks.

Hey There Bombshells!

I'm so HAPPY the weekend is here so I can just stay home with the A/C on. I stopped at Trader Joes on the way to work so I wouldn't have to do it tonight which would have been worse.

emoticon Marcy! I'm sorry about your husband not getting the job. Like Colleen said the right one will come along. I know that doesn't help right now but try and keep the faith.

Please do something fun this weekend. It doesn't have to cost. Maybe get together with some friends to take your minds off it for a while. Even though it's hard, and like you said against your nature, being bummed won't change anything.

So many of us have to go through this kind of stuff alone. Go out and build each other up. One day when he does get a job (and he will) you'll wonder why you wasted time being down.

Think of it as an experiment. That this time you will remain positive and see where it gets you:)

I know it's easy for me to say, but please for both of you, especially for him, put a good spin on it.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS.

I saw this challenge late, but this is what I did today.

Gave summer student software as a gift on his last day.

Commended another summer student for doing a good job.

Do those count?

Random Acts of Kindness

I'll take credit for half. 5 emoticon

1) I paid for the lady behind me in line at Starbucks this morning. I had my fingers crossed she wasn't buying for her whole office, LOL!

2) I did a few other things but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Well, my act of kindness is something I often do so I don't know it that counts.

It's over 100 degrees outside, So when the mailman rang my doorbell, I offered him ice water.
I also bought groceries my my 85 year old neighbor. She doesn't drive anymore.

Wow - I might complete this challenge.

I was kind to my boss today - covered a meeting for him even though it was inconvenient.

I was also kind to couple contractors giving unsolicited praise.

That's my act of kindness.

My success story..::: well my success all started when I started Spark.. I was at a very low point In my life, but trying to crawl out. I was very over weight and very unhappy with my self. I knew I had to do something and I wanted to be realistic about I knew the weight did not come on over night and it was not going to come off that way, I also knew I was not going to be a contestant on the biggest loser nor extreme weight loss program. I had sought out the lap band surgery but was told due to a hernia I could not have it,

I think that is what made me more determined.. that was almost 4 years ago. and since then I am down close to 100 lbs. I have had set backs but not where it has kept me away from spark and form the people who I help me and supported me all the way I truly believe it was not for them and what I have learned I would not be writing this success story.

Marcy,

When there is a situation like that, my mother would say this wasn't the job that was meant to be for him. When the one that is meant to be his comes along, he will get it. Good luck to him and try not to let it get you down. My sister recently was doing a job search and had several interviews but finally got one of the jobs. His time will come too.

Dawn,
That was so nice leaving a note on the car.
I also let people in front of me when I shop and sometimes give my cart (with the quarter) to a customer.
Have a good day Dawn. emoticon

Dusty,
My mom was happy to go out and eat. Even though she doesn't eat much, she loves this Chinese buffet place by her house. She ate well ( for her) but then she became exhausted and was in pain from the procedure she had with the doctor we saw earlier. So she wanted to go home and lie down. She usually wants me to take her to her favorite store Walmart and then Shoprite. But she wasn't up to it.

Tuesday Next week I take her out again and see if she does her errands then.

Dusty,
I thought I was cookin when I was out a while ago. I had to clear the trunk of my car and even though I was in the garage and the garage door was open, I was soaked from sweat. emoticon
Can you imagine if I was outside in the SUN????

Will I had to come in to cool off and drink water. Boy am I a wimp when it comes to heat.
Okay it IS 100 degrees out there and it feels hotter because of humidity, but still....

Love you guys..

Hey Marcy,

I can imagine how you must feel. I was stuck in a job for NINE years being underpaid and not getting any raises. Every once in a while I would go on interviews, make the short list, get my hopes up only to be disappointed. So I hope you and yours find some solace and are successful in your search.

well it seems my hubby didn't get the job. life sucks sometimes.

having a super crappy day today! I hate to have a pity party when there are so many others worse off then me, but I'm having one anyway!

I just feel so bad for my hubby. He was SO excited for this job (would have been perfect for him!) he always seems to be the one getting pooped on- I just want him to be happy & successful and he can't seem to catch a break.

Hoping I can get some exercise in today, but right now all I feel like doing is going home, crying, and sleeping. ugh :(

if only bills could be paid with hopes and dreams

Dusty- I love those little laughing cow cheese- and so many fun flavors. I usually just stick to the light creamy swiss, but some of the other ones are nice too! I have yet to try their cream cheese but will have to give them a look!

NO EATING OUT CHALLENGE

This one was rough because I was not prepared for it (even though Dusty gave us advance warning like the sweetie she is).

So my menu was not too special.

Breakfast - PB Sandwich

Lunch - Homemade Spaghetti, Cottage Cheese, Raisins

Dinner - PB Sandwich (again), Skim Milk and Grapefruit - didn't feel up to much more after my 5k jog.

Great menu Marcy! I love the Laughing Cow Cheeses. Have you tried their Cream Cheese yet? I haven't yet. Glad it's vegetarian though:)

Annette - I'm sorry your knees are hurting so bad! Mine have started hurting this past year. One of the main reasons I know I've got to lose weight.
I hope you have a good pair of shoes that you can wear to work, if they let you? 10 and 10, that's wicked! Ugh!
You've don't great on posting! I've really appreciated your effort. Sorry about your streak. Hugs!

I just bought several of Amys Vegan dinners to try. They're normally pretty expensive but were on sale. Enchilada Verde, Macaroni & Cheese, Tamale Verde Cheese and Enchilada With Spanish Rice & Beans. The calories are similar to the Lean Cuisines.

Other than doing 2 loads of laundry and preparing my lunch, I have been seated or lying down with my knees on a special knee pillow to put them in a comfortable position. Back to work tomorrow.

I posted every day of this challenge until yesterday. A little sad that I broke my streak.

There's a reason for the saying, "Crazy from the heat"!

I know what you mean! If you live in an area that doesn't normally get really hot then it's miserable.

For me it's a little like living in a daze, just trying to get through the day. I couldn't figure out why my office is so much hotter than last year. My boss said it was because he had torn out all the walls and put new siding up and replaced some of the windows but hadn't put in the insulation or inside walls yet. I don't know why I didn't think about that, LOL! I think because it just looked so much nicer:)

When the afternoon sun hits it's cooler outside in the shade.

Some of you who have known me for years may remember that my boss had fun demoing out the office several years ago but never got around to putting it back together.

One summer one whole side of the office didn't even have a wall. I ran the A/C anyway!

Funny he doesn't remember it that way. Good thing I took photos! MEN! emoticon

morning team!

I don't know about the rest of you- but it is HOTT (so hot I needed 2 T's!) here in PA. It has been up around 100°F all week and through Saturday!

It makes is hard to get moving when all you want to do is make sure you keep cool. Still getting little workout's in here and there! Had a good kettlebell workout last night and got real sweaty (not hard to do with this heat!) My hubby & I also put on our swimsuits and played in the backyard with the sprinkler the other night with our doggies- so refreshing!!

Drinking my water in this heat has NOT been a problem- I'm getting about 12-15 cups a day!

I know it might be hot like this in other places, but when you live in little old PA, we are not use to this! There is a reason I don't live in the desert. Alaska is looking pretty good right about now! This fat girl is ready for WINTER!!

also- My hubby has had 2 interviews and the last one (he had yesterday) went really well and he thinks he's going to get the job. He will find out today or tomorrow!! Hallelujah!!! Praying it comes through!! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!

Hope you are all staying cool & having a good week!!

Marcy

emoticon Are you a Procrastinator

Yes, I'm a procrastinator. This past week I did a guest room a makeover. The room had become a storage room, but now it has return to its former glory a/k/a The Marriot a nickname my mom gave it. So that would definitely be my big project plus I organized my vanity! Yay me!

Speaking of procrastination and my posting I wasn't aware I was the biggest loser of the week....Really, Seriously???!!!!! If only I can keep it up every week I believe its because my hunni has been going to the gym with me, but we still eat and sleep due to early bedtime.....always something to work on.....this has been a slow week thus far but consistency is the key

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT PLEASE DON'T THINK BECAUSE YOU DON'T HEAR FROM ME EVERYDAY THAT I AM NOT APPRECIATIVE AND GRATEFUL TO BE PART OF THIS TEAM

If you keep doing what you've always done you will keep getting what you have always gotten

Anita you are so right every week will not always be a big win but there should always be progress our journey isn't about how fast we lose weight but instead how determined we are to change our lifestyle which comes with change to our mindset about food and our health.....we tend to put it off and feel guilty never pushing forward.....a viscous cycle that only we can change for ourselves...we don't have to be a fitness gurus, gym junkies or a only salad fanatic to get the job down..... a few minor changes consistently incorporated into our lifestyles will make long lasting health benefits.....thank you Anita we all can use a swift kick to get the heart pumping!

If you keep doing what you've always done you will keep getting what you have always gotten

I am a big procrastinator when it comes to this computer and posting on SP its not because I don't like it it time! I have so many thing to do and since my son has been gone it seems my hunni is more of a handful then before not to mention I start work at 3am. Its not enough hours in a day. after napping working out getting dinner the bed calls me and I go running. I don;t make to do list I just decide what I want to accomplish that day but the computer is always last. Probably because I really don't like doing it on the phone it takes longer and the screen is larger, also i like to post when i have quiet time and can take the time to view each team etc......and that's not always possible. things will get better when we make our big move but as the article suggested I immediately got online after I read it and accomplished something today that I had been putting off....YAY ME! Thank you Dusty

Procrastination / I didn't do anything today so 0 Pineapples.

Yes. I am now because I just don't have the energy and it's all annoying.

When I was at a normal weight I didn't as much but it was still annoying.

I guess none of us procrastinate when it comes to something fun. emoticon
