I joined SP back in Oct. 2011. At first, it was primarily to focus on my nutrition and wgt loss. I lost wgt slowly but surely. Then after Christmas I sorta switched gears and began to really focus on fitness b/c I set my sights on running a HM in ATL on Thanksgiving Day. I started to run using a training program designed for HMs.Running has been my primary exercise. I usually run about 16-19 miles per week. At each run I burn from 400 - 700 calories. My time has continued to improve from a 15 min pace to a 10.5 min pace. I've seen REAL progress in my fitness level...I feel great, I have more confidence....I'm amazed that it's ME doing this.
I eat clean...(not much choice for anything else where I live)...I stay at the lower end of my recommended calorie allowance...I drink all of my water each day...I don't skip workouts...I think I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing.
On the other hand, my wgt. and inches have remained stagnant since Jan. I am having a hard time remaining upbeat when I work SO hard at running with not much to show for it. (I tell my husband that if he could see my heart, it would be ripped and standing proudly in a bikini!) My husband says he can tell my body shape has changed but in places that I can't measure (my face, shoulders, back, arms, etc.)
I thought that there was a simple principle of Less food + More exercise = Wgt loss
What am I doing wrong?!!!!! I'm super frustrated. Any tips?
