CupATea - you are progressing, and that is the main point. You aren't afraid to ask questions, so that's an excellent way to learn things. If you think you are getting behind, just set a small goal for this week. Attaining the smaller goals feels good as you move toward your main goal, and even if it feels insignificant, it brings that main goal just that much closer!

Steph - welcome back. Since you've gone through the C25k already, this time you will already know in advance you can do this. Confidence is huge. If you want to try an internet yoga site (totally free, and a new one hour session each day), try www.yogatoday.com

So far on my goals I am only partially successful. But hey - it is still January, right?? By the end of 2008 I will have made more positive habits and have completed seveal races!

Long time, no hear from! I am back and I am ready to commit to my running routine. Unfortunately, I am going to have to start over with the C25K routine once more in order to get back to where I was last year. So, this is my major goal for this year to get back to running 4 miles again. Additionally, I want to incorporate the following goals with the above one as well:

1. Zig zagging my calories
2. Planning my meals/menus
3. Eating clean; less processed foods
4. Increasing my fiber intake
5. Incorporating a more meditative exercise, like yoga

So, I am back and cannot wait until I get back to where I was last year!

Mel, we *can* do this, even if we have to walk some. I'm glad we are virtually training together.

Kelly - I go on and off the flylady band wagon too. Currently I am on, and my house looks so much better for it.

Rich - thanks bud! No one is more mental than I...

Week three of the training program is almost over. I just need to do a small run today. Glad I switched my run order up this week, and did the two longer runs before it got really cold.

Cass, I'm a little worried about being ready to run my 1/2 in May. I'm find the long runs tough. BUT I know that I CAN walk if I have to. We can do it. You're right. We just have to believe in ourselves and make the decision to do it.

Hey there Kelly! Yah, I'd love it if you posted more too...

As for de-cluttering your life, have you ever checked out the website:
www.flylady.net
I love it for helping me get organized. Lots of little hints.

I am into week three of my half marathon training program. I took it off of Runner's World website, under "Smart Coach". So far, so good. But my longest run has only been four miles. We'll see in a few weeks how smart I am -- but I want to trust that the program will have me ready, and I just need to make the "believe" connection.

Hmmm, time for me to get those resolutions/goals figured out.

Resolution: Run 3 10ks this year. Get in quiet time 5 days per week.

Goals:

1. Register for 10K in February, May, and October.
I already sent 2 emails to sign up for Feb. Run for the Americas, waiting on a response. I will call today. Find 2 more and pre-register.
2. Set up a spot in the Dining Room or guest room with a quiet place to sit, my bible and devotionals and notebooks. I may need to look for a small desk.

Behold! He makes all things new! (Even Me!)

Mel,
I am doing the photo organization too! I plan on getting boxes first, so I can separate the photos into something meaningful. Then, I think I want to try some more scrapbooking. My oldest son graduates high school in 2009, and I want to have something ready for him by that time.

Great goals everyone.

Monica,
You really have a plan in place. Woohoo!

My major goals for this year are to get a handle on my binge eating behaviour and run a marathon. The marathon is a long-term goal, and I really hope to be ready this year. If I'm not I'll definitely do another half, but the plan for now is to meet up with Bryan and a couple of others for the Niagara Falls Marathon in October.

Great way of reframing it-- so many folks give up their resolutions come February or March, but a Goal you don;t give up you keep working towards!

My Goals for 2008
1. Complete training and become a Weight Watchers Meeting Leader.
2. Complete a 1/2 marathon in 2 1/2 hours or less.
3. Save $1000 for a vacation.

I like it, Cass!

Resolutions: lose weight, complete a half-marathon.

Goal: Lose 15-20 pounds.
Plan:
-Clean out processed food from cupboards
-Pre-plan menus each weekend
-Eat 5-6 small meals each day, including protein/fat at each (i.e. follow that pre-planned menu!)
-Exercise (cardio & strength training)

Goal: complete a halfie.
Plan:
-Create/update training plan
-Continue researching running / halfies in books and online
-Get those runs in, no wimping out!
-Sign up for the Scotiabank Half Marathon, June 22 (online)
-Adjust training plan as required to suit my progress (and knees!)
-Figure out my new Garmin Forerunner 305 and the accompanying software

A healthy, balanced lifestyle is a continual process of climbing back onto that slippery proverbial wagon. Giving up isn't an option.

No one can go back in time and make a brand new start, but anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

What are some of the resolutions you have been thinking of at this time of year. This is a great time to capture the enthusiasm, and change those vague resolutions to solid goals, complete with steps on how to achieve them.

My resolution:
I want to compete in a few more races this year.

Changed to goals:
1) Regina Police Half Marathon in April.
- download training program
- enter before the price goes up
- call my brother for a place to stay that weekend

2) HBC 10km race on Canada
- already talked my little bro into doing this again
- online registration

3) Boreal Off-road Sprint Triathlon in mid-July
- online registration (already downloaded)
- book cabin rentals (that's going to be a sweet stay)
- make appointment to get bike certified

*****

Make sure those resolutions come true. Take some steps today to give yourself a road map to completing them. What are yours?
