It does seem low. Tonight I took the formula Wii uses to calculate it based on my weight for Hula Hoop, and what it showed on the screen was correct - by that formula. However, when I have HulaHooped in the past while wearing a heart rate monitor watch that calculates calories burned, it was much higher than that. I need to dig up the watch so I can check it against what Wii Fit Plus says. I guess it isn't a huge deal if they are being conservative - I don't think it can be very accurate. As long as it is within 90% or so, I am fine with that. I would rather it show I am burning a little less than I really am than the other way around. I do break a sweat on several of the aerobics and even some of the yoga poses.

when i use the wii+, it indicates very low calorie burns. if i check the calorie count using either my pedometer or Fitness partner site (http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/) the count is higher. if i am sweating pretty heavily after doing some of the workouts, i use the higher counts. if not sweating i go with the wii+ count.
I'm not sure that I'm right, but what I do is when I do the running, I enter it in under jogging because I am jogging. Maybe if you put it in differently it would give you more calories burned. Just cuz you're doing it on the Wii doesn't make it any less challenging.
