I have been looking through old threads to see which ones we can revive. This one seems to be a great one so I'm going to make it a 'sticky' for a while and I hope everyone will participate and enjoy:

We are going to focus on getting our bodies in shape by stopping traffic! We are going to have sexy, tight, fit, and healthy bodies in no time, especially if we kick it up a notch! Many of you have really got the cardio thing down pack, but now we are going to kick it with the strength training.

Here's the challenge:

1. Eating Clean
emoticon * Incorporate something red, yellow, and green (colors of the stoplight) in your diets as far as fruits and veggies are concerned.

Red: watermelon, tomatoes, salsa, strawberries, red peppers, vegetable juice, cherries, apples, raspberries, red grapefruit, radishes, etc.

Yellow: squash, pineapple, apples, corn, bananas, lemons, white grapefruit, mangoes, etc.

Green: broccoli, greens, spinach, romaine, green beans, cabbage, green peppers, celery, cucumbers, grapes, apples, asparagus, peas, okra, etc.

Increase your veggies and fruit in your diet. Decrease the amounts of process sugars you normally may eat.

2. Exercise
emoticon * We are going to keep the cardio at least 150 minutes a week
emoticon * Strength training will be 3 times a week!

3. Get your beauty rest! emoticon Try your best to plan out your day and get to bed at a decent hour! Your body needs to get 7+ hours nightly, so, let's give it at least 7 hours!

4. Do something that makes you feel sexy & beautiful! Remember the 1 hour me time. emoticon I will leave this completely up to you, but please do it! Each of you are beautiful, no matter the current size you maybe! We are fearfully and wonderfully made! And don't forget Phenomenal.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is our time to get our sexy back and be healthy at the same time! Remember, you are worth the time and effort!

We can do this and I hope to see many of you join this challenge.

Continue to press in and push yourselves to greater heights!

emoticon

Count me in for this challenge! I am a big cardio fan, but sometimes slack at ST so I stepped up my game with ST last month and was happy to see how the inches started melting off. I am currently in a size 14 and I am aiming for a size 12 by September 17th (my oldest son's bday) so this sounds like a great challenge for me. :)

Thanks for the Challenge!! I just finished a June challenge and actually began my strength training again this week!!

Thanks for all the encouraging emails and activity on the boards. I don't get a chance to stop by but I think I will start incorporating stopping by spark as my 1 hour of me time a day. When I was active on spark I was more in control. Sounds a little corny but it worked for me in the past. Let's see if it can work again!! I definitely want to bring sexy back. My goal for the summer is to lose 25 pounds!!

Let's go team!!

Lynette

Ladies,

This month, I thought it would good to have a more focused challenge. So we are going to focus on getting our bodies in shape by stopping traffic! We are going to have sexy, tight, fit, and healthy bodies in no time, especially if we kick it up a notch! Many of you have really got the cardio thing down pack, but now we are going to kick it with the strength training.

Here's the challenge:

1. Eating Clean emoticon
* Incorporate something red, yellow, and green (colors of the stoplight) in your diets as far as fruits and veggies are concerned.

Red: watermelon, tomatoes, salsa, strawberries, red peppers, vegetable juice, cherries, apples, raspberries, red grapefruit, radishes, etc.

Yellow: squash, pineapple, apples, corn, bananas, lemons, white grapefruit, mangoes, etc.

Green: broccoli, greens, spinach, romaine, green beans, cabbage, green peppers, celery, cucumbers, grapes, apples, asparagus, peas, okra, etc. emoticon

You are to increase your veggies and fruit in your diet. Decrease the amounts of process sugars you normally may eat. emoticon

2. Exercise
* We are going to keep the cardio at least 150 minutes a week
* Strength training will be 3 times a week!
* Bonus: we are really going to work on our bodies by incorporating the 50/50/50 challenge at least 3 times a week!
- 50 push ups
- 50 crunches
- 50 jumping jacks emoticon

3. Get your beauty rest! Try your best to plan out your day and get to bed at a decent hour! Your body needs to get 7+ hours nightly, so, let's give it at least 7 hours! emoticon

4. Do something that makes you feel sexy & beautiful! Remember the 1 hour me time. I will leave this completely up to you, but please do it! Each of you are beautiful, no matter the current size you maybe! We are fearfully and wonderfully made! And don't forget Phenomenal. emoticon

Ladies, this is our time to get our sexy back and be healthy at the same time! Remember, you are worth the time and effort!

This challenge starts now, because that will give us almost 5 weeks of the challenge! Team We can do this I hope to see many of you join this challenge.
Continue to press in and push yourselves to greater heights!

Audrey
