I have to eat the things that cause my acid reflux before 5 p.m. If I do not and I have an attack, it comes at EXACTLY 2:30 a.m. Always has and probably always will.

I've realized that eating a white pizza is better than eating a normal pizza or no pizza at all! using non-fat white cheese and light veggies makes a huge difference!!

I limit the slices I eat and I order thin crust. The topping that bothers me most is green pepper.

The last time I tried pizza was Valentine's Day - NOT a smart move. LOL I was sick for three days, am interested to hear if any remedies work.

I find any product containing flour is a big no no for me. So yes pitzza is a causer of pain

Pizza is the WORST for my reflux and heartburn....yet that doesn't stop me from eating it. It helps when I use a fork andk knife and eat small portions. Also, sticking to a max of two slices!

it seems to me pizza is the first choice of food for gatherings but it is the number one food to do a number on my stomach i usally opt for whatever other food is offered when possible

Sometimes I find it helps, when I know in advance, that I am going to eat something that is going to "set off" the reflux, to take the acid pump inhibitor about an hr before the forbidden food. It often works really well.

Have you tried chewing gum? I find that it works for me. It does make me burp but I need that and that will help. Just a thought. Joan

Pizza does that to me too! Though recently I have not had a problem. I eat pizza with salad now and when I am exercising regularly it helps.

Today I ate pizza at about 2pm and have reflux now! Yes, I know, I shouldn't have, but tomorrow is another day. I am Marci, am 64, caregiver of my hubby , Duane. I have 3 children who are grown and have left the nest. They are all married. One has 2 children, Maddie and Peyton, who are the sunshine of my life.
