I have to be very careful. Ice Cream is a killer for me, no matter what kind. I can't eat it after 5 - 6 p.m. It has been a while for me, but I still can get crazy and get sick Years ago, it was everynight, 7 days a week. I don't know how or when I started paying attention. I know there was an article on TV about the seriousness of this condition.

I really screwed up tonight. About 4pm I had a piece of gluten-free cake with frosting and some sugar-free cherry pie filling. Then about 6:30 I had 3 oz smoked ham, 1 oz cheddar, Roma tomato and an 8 oz baked potato with butter. NO I didn't add up the calories but I can see by writing it down it is a lot. AND I almost never vomit so it's there to stay!! I have acid reflux and fructose malabsorption. I ate way too many carbs and I feel terrible. I won't be baking a cake for a long long while. Help me!!! myrt

Pb8 pills restore the healthy bacteria in the intestine. PB 8 is a probiotic supplement contains several sources of probiotics to restore healthy bacteria in the intestine. When eating fast food or taking antibiotics, normal healthy bacteria levels can dwindle below normal levels. Probiotics can also be found in foods like yogurt and some other dairy products.

I'm on lansoprazole i have been since 2004, for my acid reflux and i still have problems depends what i eat i can't eat anything spicy, tom, alltho i just found out that on the internet ACID FREE TOM, which i'm very interested in,and fresh beetroot with out vinegar 4 in a packet, But they do say if you eat red toms there No acidic in them as much. onions i can't eat emoticon it's try and error with the food ,one day i'm ok! next day pain with eating the same sort of food. milky drinks like ovaltine, drinking choc, horlicks, is good well for me anyrode. i can eat eggs alright , i don't like cheese only on pizza.which is very rarely. After all these years i'v only come to a conclusion that it's better for me if i last eat about 4to5 hours before bed. which is a lot really, and try and put an extra pillow with you just in case you might need it. have you got a wii to play or anything emoticon . while you can't exercise, i have osteoarthritis in hips and maybe knees so i know how you feel !! emoticon emoticon

I realized today while I was browsing the topics that I have not had heart burn in quite a while. If I listen to my body and quit eating when I feel it in my tummy and try and stay away from starchy carbs and high sugar I seem to do much better. I also think that exercise has helped! AMAZING!! emoticon

I was on Nexium for @ 8 years. After talking to my chiropractor, I decided to ditch the nexium and started taking 2 PB8 pills, 1 fishoil and an advanced enzime to help the stomach. It took about 2 weeks, but I no longer have heartburn every day. Every now and then I'll have some and I just take a TUMS or a small glass of milk and everything is cool.

It's amazing what eating better can do, isn't it? I was doing really well and have lapsed somewhat what with being away from home for a month. This is inspiration to me that I can pull it back together. I HATE to vomit and that's what happens when I over eat or eat junk. Here's to eating right and feeling good!

When I started in January I was on Prilosec. One of my goals is to get off heartburn medication. I went from Prilosec to Pepcid 2x a day about a month or so ago. I'm now down to Pepcid once a day most of the time and occasionally I can totally skip a day! emoticon emoticon

Great news for you both. You are learning the changes you need to make in your routine and in what you are eating and every day you will feel better! Fantastic!

WHEN I DECIDED TO NOT EAT AFTER A CERTAIN TIME TO HELP MY PROBLEMS WITH REFLUX ,IT DID WONDERS FOR ME ,BUT ROGER AS WELL.
WHAT I WANTED TO SHARE IS ...HE HAD TO MOVE HIS BELT UP ONE NOTCH....AWESOME !!! WE ARE SLOWLY LOSING SOME WEIGHT, BUT THE MAIN THING IS FOR HIM NOT TO UPCHUCH LIKE HE WAS DOING,FOR HE WAS DOING THAT TAKING TWO STRONG PERSCRIPTION DRUGS FOR IT , HE STILL WOULD LITERALLY THROW UP MOUTH FULLS,AT NIGHT WATCHING TV,HAVE TO RUN TO BATHROOM ,...NOT JUST BURPING UP , AND FOR ME TO STOP HAVING INDIGESTION....FEELS SO GOOD . WE OCCASIONALLY HAVE SOME PROBLEMS,IF WE EAT TO MUCH SPICY FOODS OR LATER THAN USUAL, BUT NOTHING LIKE WE DID HAVE , FOR THAT I AM SO...THANKFUL. HEY IT DOES HELP ,AND THATS JUST GOOD TO KNOW, THAT WE CAN DO SOMETHING TO HELP STOP IT .
