Hey Takers emoticon

Get your mind set for the week end!

emoticon Week end home work:

Get your mind set and KEEP it set.

PART ONE:

This week end I want you to create an eating goal for yourself. Whether you have a party, get together, a date, or just staying home all week end- whatever. Your home work this week is to create a calorie range for yourself to stick with from today to Sunday. Or create a rule and do it. For instance it may be exercise for an hour Saturday and Sunday, or no sweets this week end. It doesn't matter what the rule/goal is, as long as it is the one you need, and one that isn't completely easy. I ant it to be a challenge, but one which is OBTAINABLE, got that, obtainable!

PART TWO:

the second part of this goal is to reward yourself if you meet your goal. It can be a big reward, it can be a small reward. You can go to the Dollar store and buy yourself something you don't need but like, reward yourself by buying yourself a book, time at a spa, a girl's night out, whatever. It is not so important WHAT the reward is, just that you DO IT.Need ideas to reward yourself emoticon Read this Spark article below (click this red link)

Aw, you guys have touched my heart so much!!! I love you so, and yes, you were missed, but I understand about how busy life can get. All that I do is done out of serving God. I know if I get wrapped up in trying or wanting to get something back or out of serving God it can easily be messed with by the devil. So, I have learned to only do things for Him by my love through my obedience to Him.

May you continue to be strengthened by God and share what you have learned with others.

Rick
May your back continue to be healed as you rely on God for everything.

WARMSPRINGDAY
Be patient with yourself, as you know God will continue to help you always.

Thank you for your comment. I still need to write you an email back, so ya, I understand about being busy. Just try your best each day and God will do the rest. That is what I try to do, it is hard at times though.

KAY
Thanks for what you wrote. I have enjoyed getting to know you a little better.

Dear Jesus please heal all of our emotional and physical wounds for me and these dear people in this group. Please lie you hands on all of my team members and help them grow closer to you and reach their goals. In Jesus name I pray amen.

Friends, I'm really sorry I haven't been more active and involved in this thread. I've been working on my goals, but haven't posted to the team here on my progress. I'm taking baby steps and moving forward through a very difficult time. I've gained a few pounds, but am walking three times a week. My biggest problem right now is eating sweets. I am just craving them and give in too often. I did well today, though. I thought my cravings were grief-based; but my sister suggested they might be from my medication. Either way, I need to set watch and guard carefully. Pray for me that I may be able to find a way to curb these strong cravings for unhealthy and highly processed foods.

To each and every one of you, my friends - be blessed.

I am a finisher!

GREAT job Shelly, Thank you so much for all you do for this team. I'm still nursing my back injury and the pain has moved into my hip. I've been reading along but I haven't been real active on here. May God continue to Bless you and guide you through everything HE brings you to. Take care and God Bless. Rick emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you Shelly for all the work you have done!!
Sorry I haven't been on here very much this time around. I think the fall season has been a busy time for me. I haven't been on SP very much and
hardly at all on this site.
Hope everyone can keep in touch with each other.
I have met so many people on this thread.

This is the last week of the Take It session, well, I guess I should say the last day. Thank you all how have participated, especially NEWLIBRARIAN who has been here without much support. It has been a great group while people were still here. Thank you all for your involvement. I will do this again sometime in the future. Everyone did a great job! I will do the 3rd Take It session sometime in the future. I will pray and see when the next time should be. When the time is right I will send out a mass email informing the team about it.

NEWLIBRARIAN emoticon emoticon emoticon
Since you came in the middle of the Take It session I can email you the complete action steps from the beginning. Each letter of the word Take It has actions steps, & verses. Please email me if you are interested. You have done a wonderful job! If you like I will email you each week and we can do our own Take It session. I just don't have time to do it for a group of people, but I would be willing to do it for you if you would like. Please email me and let me know how you feel about this.

Hi, I haven't had a great food day as I attended a wonderful banquet and it was an art reception at work. Tomorrow is another day.
In case anyone else is reading these posts I want to make a point. I have taken myself back from obesity and at this point am just struggling a bit to hang on to what I have gained.
I am truly a new person compared to my old 100 plus pounds heavier and out of shape self.
There is hope for all.

emoticon Home Work:

Copy, paste/copy somewhere in your computer that you visit often, or write out the poem below about who you are in Christ.

I received this on a web site. Sorry I can't remember which one.

Who I Am In Christ?

From Victory Over the Darkness, by Dr. Neil Anderson

Who I Am In Christ?

I AM ACCEPTED...

I am God's child.

As a disciple, I am a friend of Jesus Christ.

I have been justified.

I am united with the Lord, and I am one with Him in spirit.

I have been bought with a price and I belong to God.

I am a member of Christ's body.

I have been chosen by God and adopted as His child.

I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins.

I am complete in Christ.

I have direct access to the throne of grace through Jesus Christ.

I AM SECURE...

I am free from condemnation.

I am assured that God works for my good in all circumstances.

I am free from any condemnation brought against me and I cannot be separated from the love of God.

I have been established, anointed and sealed by God.

I am hidden with Christ in God.

I am confident that God will complete the good work He started in me.

I am a citizen of heaven.

I have not been given a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind.

I am born of God and the evil one cannot touch me.

I AM SIGNIFICANT...

I am a branch of Jesus Christ, the true vine, and a channel of His life.

I have been chosen and appointed to bear fruit.

I am God's temple.

I am a minister of reconciliation for God.

I am seated with Jesus Christ in the heavenly realm.

I am God's workmanship.

I may approach God with freedom and confidence.

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.

note from the author:

"The more you reaffirm who you are in Christ, the more your behavior will begin to reflect your true identity!"

Take Yourself Back

So how do we do it? emoticon

We are well able to accomplish this, we are capable of holding & containing, and carrying this out. We must pray to God to help us obtain this...to take back what we miss about ourselves.

I realize that some peole may not want to read this long post I wrote, or just don't have time to. I understand that and respect your choice. So, I will summerize it for you.

Summery:

A. Think About your Past

1. Share With the Group or a Friend or Wrote it Down

2. Write it down, get it out, and remember who you were, and who you want to be or become.

3. Carefully think about someone to ask, " Have I changed since I gained weight? "

B. Lose the Weight, Gain the Muscle, and Feel Yourself Come Back

1. As you reach your goal some people will start to feel and think like they used to.

2. Take your self back and enjoy the journey!

Take Yourself Back

Action steps

A. Think About your Past

1. Journal
Write it down, get it out, and remember who you were, and who you want to be or become. Write about your feelings, your plan of action, and your progress.

2. Share With the Group or a Friend or Wrote it Down
It helps to share with people what you plan to do. This creates accountability as well.

3. Make a college
This visual aid will help you see what you want to accomplish and motivate you! It is fun and easy . Just cut out pictures from a magazine or look for images on the internet, print, cut them out and past onto a piece of paper of poster board.

3. Spend time in reflection
Carefully think about someone to ask yourself or someone else,"Have I changed since I gained weight?" According to the answer change what needs to be cnanged.

B. Become a conquer
Lose the Weight, Gain the Muscle, and Feel Yourself Come Back

*Make it happen!
1. Be as determined as possible to make a schedule for when you will exercise. Each week make a list of all the healthy meals you will make the following week. 7 breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

*Keep Him first
2. Pray and always ask God to help you.

C. Claim it!
* copy/paste, write out, or copy, the poem found within this week- Take yourself back (look below & above)
1. Set your mind and keep it set. Learn who you are in Christ and make up your mind to believe ut each and every day!

1. Believe who you are in Christ
*Do whatever it takes

2. Be determined to start feeling better about yourself, make up your mind you will do whatever it takes once and for all.

*Keep your mind set
*It is a process but it CAN be obtained!

4. Take your self back and enjoy the journey!

Hi, me again emoticon Well, I am a bit behind, and I apologize for that.

October 21st

~ NEW WEEK
Action Step: Take yourself back!

TAKE YOURSELF BACK

Take yourself back by force! There comes a time if we have gained a certain amount of weight that we feel we have lost ourselves. There is no set number, each person reaches a weight that goes beyond excepting to themselves, and after that point it is only a matter of time we feel as though we have lost ourselves. I can write these words because I have experienced it myself a few times. This state lead me into a deep depression.

The less time you stay within this dark place the better! This Week we are focusing on TAKING OURSELVES BACK! At times we all have looked into that mirror and asked ourselves, " Where are you? What happened? How did I gain so much weight? " And you feel it, we all do, and we think, "I want her back, or I want him back if you are a man. I want to feel the way I used to feel and think the thoughts I used to think about myself."

Well, we are not the only ones who wants this, so does God! I kid you not. I was sitting in a chair one night watching Joyce Meyer and God started to talk through her to me. He told me I needed to lose weight, and that he would help me. Then I thought, what???? Man, I really heard it wrong this time! Wow, I just thought God said, He wanted me to lose weight, and even more surprising He would help me do it! So, I said to God, I MUST HAVE HEARD YOU WRONG. God , I mean, WHY would you care what I looked like, let alone me losing weight? He said you did not hear wrong. You need to lose weight because you will not fulfill all my plans for your life if you remain over weight. " When God said that I realized that He meant that my weight and how I feel about myself will keep me from doing what God asks me to do. That the devil had me in bondage, and a whole load of negative experiences, and feelings are connected with it. I began to realize that, the devil uses how we feel about ourselves to keep us not only away from God, but away from being happy, and fulfilling God's plans. He does this by trying to keep us miserable, and he does not care how long it takes him to achieve it, or in and by what form it takes on....as long as his plan for misery is reached. God did not say I would not I be able to fulfill His plans, He said I would not be able to fulfill ALL HIS PLANS. I knew God had extremely beautiful, rich, experiences for me. I did not know what they were, but I wanted to be there with Him! I was deeply depressed at the time. That was only about three years ago. My life has changed in every way since then, and I am not even close to all of the wonderful things He has planned for my life. I have experienced some of His plans so for, but not nearly even half of them, I am sure.

Welcome NEWLIBRARIAN to the Take It group. I am not sure what happened to everyone. I love them them all though, and this does happen at times. I know they many of them did well with their goals.

I went to visit my mom last week, so I was gone for a week. Maybe that is why people are not posting here. I am sorry it took my awhile to welcome you. If I would have been here I would have welcomed you sooner. You are doing a great job. Thank you so much for posting and have a wonderful week!

I am ready for a new day. I think my food choices are still marginal at times and my exercise is still good. I am feeling like that's all I ever say. I have been into the chocolate chips every night of late. Not a good choice.
Trying hard to focus on living for God in obedience that is a lot of things. Surly God is bigger and better than a bag of chocolate chips. AMEN

Hi everyone, I meant to write you and tell you that I was going to PA for a week, but then got busy with packing and stuff and ran out of time. My mom doesn't have internet service so I have been out of touch for awhile. I will be back this Sunday and I will check in Monday with the new action steps. I suggest that you review the last 5 action steps, memory verses, and previous home work and keep working towards your goals. I miss you!

Praise God for ALL His wonderful blessings. My back is about 85 percent better. I have been working out in the pool for the last 2 weeks. Today I got on the weights and started out slow and light. I began my workout with an hour on the elliptical, hit the weights, walked a mile on the treadmill, and finished with 45 mins. in the pool. All told about 2.5 hours at the gym! WooHoo it feels great to be able to workout again. Many blessings to all of you. Keep up those great efforts! God Bless. emoticon

Working on it Missy. It's a process and I know my mind is in a better place than it has been sometimes. I inquired about some ministry opportunities today. I am kind of pumped about that. It has also been a good food and exercise day. Wendy's Apple Pecan salad for supper. My current favorite pick up treat. So yummy. I save the pecans to keep at work for a possible afternoon snack and only use one dressing, which is plenty. Very yummy and reasonalbe calorie was and health wise. Gotta love it.

This process which you are going through is a renewal of you mind with food. There was a time is your life which you did the same thing, but you were not as aware of it as you are now, and you did not realize as clearly the results of this behavior as you do no w. Break through this cycle, as you said, it IS anew day and this day it the time to break through and PRESS ON TO GOD'S VICTORY!!! emoticon emoticon

HOW DO YOU INVOLVE GOD INTO YOUR GOAL?

I know from life time experiences that trusting God is the key issue with within every experience. Need an example example? Ok, I fell two months ago onto a cement step. I was wearing shorts & both my knees hit the edge of the stair. It was a bad fall, both my knees turned red within minutes after the impact.

I was at the point where muscle was being added to my upper and lower body. I had clear definition of muscles in my legs. My was feeling stronger, I was making REaL progress.

Within a second that was all taken away from me. Although I suffered through more pain than a typical fall, I thought i would bounce back into my exercise and weight training routine within 2.5 weeks at the most. Boy was I wrong! It has been 2 months and I have not been able to lift weights with my legs. I realized that I had an ACL injury on my knees. I sprained a ligament pretty badly in one of my knees, the other is already healed.

I told my husband that I was afraid I was going to gain back the weight that I lost. I was discusted, and was feeling defeated. Although at the time I did not realize that it was an *ACL injury (* what is an ACL injury- see below) I had lost 35 pounds last year. maintained that weight for 6months and then gained back 6 pounds. This summer I lost those six pounds. I would like to lose some additional weight and add more muscle to my body.

I decided when I fell and hurt myself I become more positive than I had ever before expressed to myself and others after such a set back.

I wrote this on 9/12/2010 on this thread:

Since I hurt myself so badly I was not sure what goals I could make for myself. I had to wait and see where I was at with my legs healing. A few months ago I looked back and saw I wrote on this thread," I was in so much pain I was crying! emoticon I was asking God to complete his healing, and there was a time when I said, God heal them now! I believe the worst is over, and I praise God for that!!! emoticon Thank you Jesus!!!" When I fell I was scared I would gain weight, & get lazy and have trouble going to the gym when my legs healed. I prayed to God to heal me. I tried to stay as positive as I could. I told myself that I have fallen before and did fine, I will be ok. I told myself everything would be ok. However, a few days after I fell I became discouraged. When I woke up I had a nagging thought," You are going to gain weight." I thought about all the work I had done. In July I had lost the 5-8 pounds I had gained back in April & May. Fear settled in and I felt defeated, but then I thought, Shelly, stop that stinking thinking! I said out loud, " God will heal you. God has healed you. You have been through this before with God. You will be fine, and you will not gain weight." Then I heard a morning dove and I was filled with such peace. God uses a morning dove at times to calm me and fill me. With each coo it was like God wrapped His aims around me. I thank God for such times as He cares for me.

As the days followed and the pain was so bad, I tried to be patient. I kept saying, I don't care what it feels like, I don't care what it looks like, and I don't care what anyone else says, God is healing my swollen knees, and I will be pain free soon. It is hard to wait on God, and it is hard to see such destruction and stay positive. My knees were badly swollen, and pain so much pain! There were times that I cried without tears, yet inside I was crying. I did not want this to be happening, but I had to stay strong and rely on God. Each day that passed I thanked God for taking care of me. My thoughts were positive, and I knew this would pass. It took work to stay positive. I have to admit, there were a few times I become angry. I did not want to be sitting on the couch icing my knee down to my ankles! However, there were moments when I knew there was some good in it, if I allowed myself to see it. You can never learn how to rely and trust God without set backs, pain, and suffering. Oh, it is so true. You want to be strong in Christ, you gotta learn to suffer with a good heart and while praising God. Trust me, I really know what I am talking about! I praised God and I concentrated on God healing each part of my legs, I believed that God would heal me, and I refused to complain! But, ya, I did complain a few times, but I kept it short, and I did not do it more than a few times. One day I will get better at this too.

That was almost a month ago. *the above) I am getting better and I had to involve God in MY THOUGHTS, my WORDS, and my ACTIONS. This is an example of involving God into your life.

* What Is It? (from Sparkpeople)
Ligaments are tough bands of fibrous tissue that connect two bones. The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) are inside the knee joint. These ligaments connect the thigh bone (femur) and the large bone of the lower leg (tibia) at the knee joint. The ACL and PCL form an "X" inside the knee that stabilizes the knee against front-to-back or back-to-front forces. Learn more- click link below

An ACL injury is a sprain, in which the ligament is torn or stretched beyond its normal range. In almost all cases, when the ACL is torn, it's almost always due to at least one of the following patterns of injury:

A sudden stop, twist, pivot or change in direction at the knee joint — These knee movements are a routine part of football, basketball, soccer, rugby, gymnastics and skiing. For this reason, athletes who participate in these sports have an especially high risk of ACL tears. Learn more- click link below

My food plan can be pretty flexible as I work out a lot. However I am just not making great choices and have gotten into a poor mindset about food. Last night I was trying to solve some loneliness and despair with food. It's a new and better day today.

I hope your day went smoothly yesterday & that you got all the things done. It is hard to not eat the things you know you should not. have you ever tried to give yourself one treat day a week? This way you are still eating well, but not totally sacrificing every thing. I just would suggest giving yourself some guide lines, if needed on those treat days. I know sometimes I have eaten way too much, or two many different kinds of sweets on my "free" day. emoticon

We all do this at times, all we can do it try to always focus on Him. Having this team makes me more accountable to Him, and I appreciate that.

Hope you all have a great week end.

Great Memory verse Shelley.

emoticon Memory verse:

1Corinthians 6:12

Everything is permissible for me but not all things are helpful to me. Everything is lawful for me, but I will not be a slave to anything or be brought under it's power.

I know from experience that when I try to do something which is hard I can not do it without a lot of help from God. This does not mean that I say a prayer at night and God will do all the rest. Although, nothing is impossible for God, and I am not saying one prayer or more will not do the trick. However, I know from my own experience the more I add God to my life the better the experience is. Foe example, my happy day becomes a blessed day and a nightmare turns into a day dream.

The only way I know how to get through life is by making God my #1 priority, #1. Now, let me stress, there is balance, I am not suggesting to ignore those you love, but I believe you should strive to make God #1, and just watch how you will reap the rewards.

This week we are concentrating on involving God into your life. Make God your lifestyle. Having God become your lifestyle means incorporating Him into your DAILY life. It means a lot more than just going to church once a week, it means spending a certain amount each week with God, plain and simple.

I encourage all of you to do this. I can honestly tell you that you have nothing to lose. Give yourself a make over from the inside out, and just watch your life change in every single way. It won't happen over night now, but trust me your life will change for the better and it will be truly blessed.

~New week

This week is involve God.

So far we have had these action steps:

T Take it
A Action
K Keep doing it
E Evolve

I Involve God

This week the I stands for Involve God.

This Take It goal is really centered around God because He is the one this is coming from. Some of you might remember the first thing I wrote about when I shared this with you was, God told me all about setting this goal up for this team. He has given me each letter, each action strep, and each memory verse.

If you have already involved God in your goal, dig in deeper with God. Read the bible more, pray more, ask for His help more often,& or, try harder to remember the memory verse each week, or think of the verse more often. If you have not involved God as part of your goal start to pray, talk to God, and ask for His help now. I plan on giving you ideas to help you get & keep God involved in your goal. If you have any ideas feel free to suggest them to us.

WAYS TO INCLUDE GOD INTO YOUR GOAL:

~ each day ask God to help you
~ pray and ask God to help you find a better way to do what you are doing
~ read the bible
` write down verses that inspire you
~ talk to God throughout the day

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. It is a good one, and I will ask today and see when I go to physical therapy.

I have been extremely busy. I am going to PA this Friday. I will be gone for 8 days and my mom, the person I will be staying with, does not have the internest.

I keep meaning to write the new action steps. emoticon I am so very behind! emoticon

Sorry I can't remember you name today Glittergirl, oh yeah Shelley.
I was thinking about you and I wonder if you could lift weight with your legs that exercise your hip muscles, abductors and adductors, no squats, hamstrings, quads or calves. That shouldn't stress your knees. Just a thought.
I am hoping to keep my calories in check. Yesterday was not such a great day for that. UFFDa

I went to the gym yesterday. I was able to walk around the track 4 times and I was very happy with being able to do that. I lifted weights for my arms. I feel like I am getting stronger.

I am sorry, I am late at posting the new week's action steps. I will do this later today.

Hope all of you are doing well. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I did very well this week ned. No sweets! I Have about 11 days until I can have a break, & then I can eat one or two sweets. It is very hard, but I am getting better at this.

I worked out three times last week. I have to get better at doing cardio. I am not used to being so limited as to what kind of cardio I can do. I start PT in a few days. I will ask them when I can left weights with my legs.

I think that my goal for whe week should be to stay in my calorie range all week and my reward of course clothes, always. However I am not firmly committed. I just want to eat a lot lately.
I haven't tracked my snacks yet today. UFF!
Toni I just don't have any real ideas or advice for you. My grandmother was a smoker and it always bothered me and we had a pretty solid argument when I wouldn't let her hold my daughter while smoking. If it were now I wouldn't have had her in a house where there was smoking. It's tough and you need to keep in sync with your husband. I will pray.

Good morning, I have discovered a problem with my quiting smoking. My husband smokes 2 pks a day and I am down to 15 - 14 tomorrow and his smoking is starting to bother me. I am getting headaches. He smokes in the bedroom and last night I had to open a window and leave it open all night so I could be in the room. I have already explained to him that the cigs would start to bother me to the point that I would have a hard time breathing around the cig smoke. He is smoking in the bedroom while watching tv and it is now at a point where I cannot sleep in there with him. Any ideas to help with this. I am at a loss as to what to say without causing a fight.

Help me please...

I was able to workout in the pool today. It sure felt great. I spent about 75 minutes walking around the pool, some aerobics, stretching and I even swam a few laps. October started out on the right track. My goal is to workout in the pool 3 days a week until I'm well enough to hit the weights and full workout again. This weekend goal for me is to not over indulge on Sunday. I've been invited to a chili cook-off. Man do I like chili! LOL emoticon

I will have to think on this and post tomorrow. It is going to be a long week for me as I am working almost twice as much as usual because I am filling in for someone on vacation. This is ok but it makes it hard to fit my exercise time in. I can workout in the evenings but I am better if I get it in in the morning. I want to make a goal and reward that mean something.

I believe we have ALL been there at one time or another, I KNOW I sure have. It was when I gained the most of my weight in fact! You know all we can do is learn and forgive ourselves. Hey, I used to be 221 pounds, I HAVE been there! You may look at my pictures and not think so, but it is only 'cause I can't bring myself to look at the pictures much less share them here.....maybe some day. You are doing a great job!!! emoticon emoticon Thanks for sharing! emoticon

I am evolving into Christ's character, but it is not easy. I fact it is PAINFUL!!! It is so very hard! I need all the prayer I can get. And you know that thing your emailed me about getting side tracked, boy the Holy Spirit must have been whispering the right stuff in your ear... It has come at me life FULL FORCE!!! I guess that means God has some good stuff planed for me cause the devil is doing everything he can to get me to look away, look at, or spend time there, spend too much time here (not here on the team, everywhere else though!) emoticon

Rick emoticon
Thanks for your kind words. I am so glad to hear the good news emoticon I miss working out my legs!!! Your body really does miss it when you can't do it, that is for sure. I miss lifting weights so much! I still lift my arms, but I have always loved lifting with my legs better. Missy does water stuff, she loves it.

I'm doing a bit better. My back is about 50 percent and the pain is about 60 percent gone. My doc suggested I start working out in the pool just walking, stretching, etc. I hope to begin that Friday. My body is REALLY telling me how much it misses working out. Shelly , Keep up those great efforts. I for one am grateful for all you do here and I thank God for the guidance that HE sends your way. Best wishes to you on rehabbing your knee. Take care and God Bless.

Shelly, you are so right, it is evolving and growing with and into the changes that I am willingly bringing into my life. I am now eating the right amount of calories just about everyday of the week out of habit instead of having to think about it. The right amount of calories is getting to be a habit built right into me. And the few times I ate too many calories I did so knowing that I was and just did so because I wanted a certain food at a certain time.

Just joining here! My goals are:

1. To spend at least 30 minutes a day on Spark People. This is so important for me, because every time I 'slip' backwards, I notice I do not log on and read, or participate, and the support I can offer and accept is so key.

2. To walk for at least 30 minutes four times a week.

I am hanging in there. I want to take my remaining 5 pounds off. Those last 5 are always the toughest and I am kicking myself that I let them creep up on me. For a while I just didn't care there was too much going on in my life.
Trying to not let food be something it isn't.

~New week

So far we have had these action steps:

T Take it
A Action
K Keep doing it
E Evolve

This week the action step centers around the word- Evolve

emoticon Memory verse

Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Evolve- to evolve means to develop or achieve gradually, or to undergo gradual change. A big part of meeting your goal to revolve. You do this through change, but you incorporate change through a healthy lifestyle. You may not think about it (I am 'cause I keep writing about this process we are going through together) emoticon but evolving and chaining your lifestyle involves a renewal process. You have renewed the way you think about food and working out. However, to keep the accomplishments that you have made and continue to make you have to cement this new way of thinking.

HOW DO YOU EVOLVE/RENEW YOUR THINKING?

1. We need to continue to think about food, smoking cigarettes, or drinking caffeine, (or whatever your goal is) not as a way to treat ourselves, or a means to medicate our emotions, but as a source to provide nutrition and energy to our bodies. If you are trying to stop doing something that is unhealthy, realize you must JUST STOP DOING IT. No food, drug or thing, can really completely satisfy any emotion. It may make us feel good while we eat it, or do it, when are upset, bored, or whatever, but soon enough we all know how that action we take back fires. It is a dirty trick emoticon that none of us like.

STEPS TO TAKE TO MAINTAIN A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE:

~ We evolve do to doing things differently, as well as thinking differently. I strongly encourage you to find a way that works best for you to manage your portions.

1. weight your food
2. or measure your food with measure spoons/cups
3. pray to God for help& strength
4. seek support

IF YOU ARE SEEKING A HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE:

1. maintain the actions which your helped you succeed in your goal, If you have not dound any yet, read books, ask others for their opion for help, search the internet for ways which may hekp you
2. seek support
3. pray to God more

I will be sending you an article from sparkpeople re. portion sizes. It is a great thing to use when you eat out, or are at someone's house.

This is from my bible. It is something that Joyce Meyer wrote in her, Everyday life bible:

Joyce Meyer wrote,"That God restores out souls and our minds. She said that she believes that God restores us by returning us back to the state or condition we were in before we erred the good plan God had predestined us before our birth, or before satan attacked us and drew us out of God's plan for our lives. Joyce Meyer also wrote,"That God will lead us to the path of righteousness. This too was really key because God told me a few weeks ago that I will never reach my full potential unless I fully grasp how I am righteous within Christ." Thank you God for all that you are doing and all that you have done!

This weekend, I was a little under the weather so I didn't do much, but today I got out my Leslie Sansone dvd & walked 2 mi in 30 min. I'm hoping to keep this up on the days that I don't go to Curves. I want to start some new devotionals, too, I seem to be in a rut with them. Any suggestions welcome.

I am looking at thinking about branching out in my fitness pursuits and learning to teach classes. We'll see. It's something I am preying seriously about.

Dear Jesus, thank you so much for all which you have given me. Thank you for giving us such a wonderful awesome time here in Chicago. We had such a great time with my sister, and meeting my dear team member, Bobbie has been a joy! You are so good to me and I just want to thank you and praise you! I love you so much and I just love all that you are. You give me peace, when my world falls down around me, you bring me comfort like nothing else can, and you wrap your arms around me and give me love when I need it the most my God. Thank you so much for helping me renew this 2nd Take It session. Thank you for helping me come up with new home work, and keeping me tied in to this Take It thread, and to my current goal. I thank you, I honor you and I love you. Please God, continue to help all of us to complete our goals and make you proud. In Jesus name I pray amen.
