Thanks for the info. I am probably going to stick with doing just the bike portion again next year although I did committ to my grandaughter that I would do two tri's next year if she was into it. I had to work pretty hard just to do a mediocre job of the 50 mile bike.
At 72 I still would like to think I could train and do a full short course but reality is different than what I would like to do!

Eugene had a triathlon this year with two levels. The long was a 1k swim, 50 mi bike and a 10k run. The short course was just about half of that. This is supposed to be an annual event.
I did the bike portion on a team effort with my niece and granddaughter. Great fun!!

It's all good

I don't think there are any Olympic Triathlons in Oregon. A good website to find tri's is www.trifind.com. You can search there and maybe find something relatively close in either WA or CA. Good luck!

I'm working my way back to fitness - slowly! - and have my running and cycling going relatively well. My question is this - Does anyone know of an Olympic (that's the short course, not the Ironman!) Triathlon in Oregon?
