Sounds interesting. Would like to be part of this once I understand it all...Just a note: the links you gave us did not copy over to my computer...
If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we're apart.. i'll always be with you. - Winnie the Pooh

Introducing Friend Feed Set Your Privacy Controls This Week Before Launch -- By SparkPeople Support Next Monday, March 16, we will launch a new feature called Friend Feed. This will enable you to see the community activities of all your mutual SparkPeople friends on one page.
More About Friend Feed This feature has been requested by members for some time as an easier way to keep up with all of your SparkPeople friends. Note that you can control what shows up to your friends, deciding what is or is not included in your feed. Your friend feed can contain these things: Weight Lost (when you weigh-in) Every 250 Fitness Minutes tracked Every 1,000 SparkPoints earned Joining a SparkTeam Adding a Friend Making a Blog Post Commenting on a Blog Changing My Status (this is a new feature, where you can write a quick note about what you're doing today) Adding New Photos Sharing a Recipe Rating a Recipe Giving a SparkGoodie Receiving a SparkGoodie Commenting on an Article Commenting on a SparkPage Below is a screen shot of how a friend feed might look, bringing in updates from all your friends:
Mutual Friend Finder On SparkPeople, you are able to add friends without them adding you (though people you add do get an email and typically then add you as a friend). Friend Feed will only work between members who are mutual friends, so we also launched a new Mutual Friend Finder. This tool shows your mutual friends, people who you have added but have not added you, and people who have added you but you have not added. You can click here to use our Mutual Friend Finder.
Privacy Settings We realize that not all members will want to share everything with their mutual friends. But, keep in mind that everything in the Friend Feed is already public to the Community. The Friend Feed simply puts it all in one place. When we launch this feature on Monday the 16th, we will default all but one of the items in the Friend Feed list to "on," meaning if you do nothing they will be shared. The one item not defaulted "on" is weight lost, since this is more sensitive to some members. We are announcing this feature a week early to give people interested the chance to update their privacy settings. Note that even after launch you will be able to update your privacy settings at any time. You can click here to update your privacy settings now.
We are very excited to launch this feature, as we feel it will keep you in much better contact with your friends to get support and communicate. Also, we believe the new "Status" feature will be a lot of fun!
