We were in an auto accident. Not to serious as no one was hurt.

My wife and I decided to go out to celebrate her birthday. In order for both of us to be able to enjoy some wonderful Oregon wine, we called a taxi to avoid the risk of a DUI.

We dressed up, called the cab, set the answering machine, covered the bird, put the cat in the backyard and waited for the cab to arrive.

The cab arrived. We turned out the lights and opened the front door. The cat ran in and upstairs.

Now it is not safe to leave a cat inside alone with a bird. I dashed upstairs after the cat. My wife went out to hold the cab.

Now my wife has always been afraid to let anyone know that our house is setting there unoccupied. She is sure we will be robbed. So, she tells the cab driver that I have gone upstairs to say good night to her mother.

I take care of the cat. dash out to the cab.

While fastening my seat belt I apologize for the delay. Explaining that I found the bitch hiding under the bed. I had to poke her with a coat hanger to get her out. To keep her from scratching me with her claws, I wrapped her in a blanket. I then threw her over my shoulder, carried her down stairs and dumped her in the back yard.

The driver hit a parked car.

I do not know if this is the place to post this, But I have run across a helpful hint that you may want to be aware of now that it is beginning to get warmer. When you get the urge to remove your clothes and run around, you can sniff a little Windex and it will keep you from streaking.

Some kids were in the habit of teasing one of their group by repeatedly offering him a choice between a nickel and a dime. He always chose the nickel, "because it's bigger."

One day, a friend took him aside and asked, "Don't you know that a dime's worth more than a nickel?"

The kid answered, "Yeah, but if I picked the dime they'd stop doing it, and last year I made 20 bucks!"
