It took a lot especially going to class without a "buddy" but I am glad I got there. A quick hour of sweat and burnt calories.

I on the other hand am too self conscious to ride a bike. I am sure people see me on the bike and think what is that old lady doing. She is going to kill herself.

I would love to break through my apprehension and self-consciousness regarding dancing...I love music so and I know if I could ever blow through my barriers it could be a wonderful area of personal and physical growth for me!

I have started taking a dance fitness class at the Y. I am so uncoordinated but it doesn't seem to matter. We all laugh and just keep moving. I am a huge sweaty mess at the end and that it what it is all about burning those calories. It is nice for the hour to go so quickly.

Ok, so I had a little mini setback with the flu bug but I'm back on my feet again and went back to kickboxing tonight. I feel great! I never thought I would enjoy a public workout type situation but it's so much fun I don't even think about it! I'm so glad I stepped out of my box a little.

Today was one mighty fine day (50's, sunny, hardly a cloud to be found!) and with the stretch of cold weather beginning tomorrow I was bound and determined to get out on my bicycle...which I DID!

Got to Whitney Point and back, around 20 mile round trip...a great feeling to cover these distances AND to make it UP that one nasty hill going both ways!

Had a nice mini-vacation from Tues. to Thurs. this past week (check my latest blog).

Hope everyone is well and SPARKIN' along out there!

Argh! I was off cardio all last week because I'm fighting terrible bronchitis. I took a bike ride yesterday, but it was really tough. I had the hardest time breathing and today I've had to use my inhaler constantly. My husband forbid me from doing anything today. I know he's right, but I am so anxious to get back to doing anything!

I only did 10 minutes on my elliptical tonight but it's 10 minutes I wasn't sitting on my couch. It's amazing how much endurance you lose over a short amount of time, I guess I need to build my time back up.

Ok, so there is no October thread so I will use this one! I started my kickboxing class tonight, it was fantastic and it feels great to have followed through with something. I hope I can walk tomorrow! :-)

So I did, 45 minutes of kickboxing and 30 minutes of strength training!

Well mine are little. one is blind but she loves loves baths. in fact you have to be careful about keeping the bathroom door shut or she will join you in the shower. But don't take her out in the rain. She thinks she will melt.

mine do not mind the rain, love to swim also, will wallow in mud puddles but absolutely HATE a bath!

I usually take mine for their walk as soon as I get home because if I don't I run out of ambition but this morning I held off - we just got back and stayed dry WOO HOO

I dragged my dogs in the rain yesterday. They hate rain. Love swimming but hate rain. Go figure.

I went out this morning got about 20 minutes in when it started to pour. I am going to try again. Someday I will have a house big enough to keep a treadmill in.

emoticon yes it sure is - sometimes it does a lot more for you than a walk!! My BF & I called off our 7 am run this morning and I have mixed feelings about it - it was pouring then but now it's not but the forecast leads me to believe it could again at any minute. emoticon I think I am going to take the dogs for their walk and then if it is still holding off head to the park alone. I know what you mean about having a buddy...when she and I run together we both do well but when we run alone we have to push ourselves to do half as much.

Fri I got in 30 min walk with dogs (that "standard" LOL) and 90 min of volleyball

I got up to walk this morning but with all that rain outside I think it will be inside at the gym.

I did walk yesterday in the rain but during the week I walk with a friend so much more motivational then by yourself.

Or I could go back to bed. Sleep is a good thing too. Isn't it?

I added another 45 min. bike ride in state park yesterday...those hills are killers, but I REFUSE to get off and walk up...bulled my way up!

Today, Mon. 45 mins. treadmill, hoping for bike time later, we'll see. I figure if I can get a good dose of biking in over the weekend I can "tolerate" missing my biking during the week...we'll see! lol

I remember staying at hotels with ellipticals and working my way from 20 to 60 min workouts...talk about feeling like a wrung out, wobbly-kneed dishrag! :-) That's one heckuva workout one gets on the Evil E!

I did 35 on the treadmill this morning and 60 mins on the lawnmowing later this evening.

I know my eating was FAR less than stellar while traveling, but it could have been worse...and I got in my walking regularly, even on rest stops while traveling.

thanks - I think I am better now. I was really sick yesterday - actually went to the walk in.

Some kind of stomach "thing" but doing better today.

S/B good as new in another day or so, then I can work on those fitness minutes again.

Hey KB, hope you can bump yourself out of this trough!

Think about all the things in your past which have excited and / or lit a fire under you...is there any way you can pull some of that back into your life NOW??

Are there people you can talk to who, just by their presence, their listening, help you to feel better?

Be sure to remember that whatever it is that is holding you back these days...one way or another these things will pass!

Then we'll have a PARTY! :-)

I looked back - I think it was 11061 min. We lost a lot of "participants" toward the end and we have even less now - I am thinking that the 15,000 is a bit steep for Sept. but who knows maybe things will pick up. Otherwise that is 5000 min for you, Don & me each. LOL

I, myself, am in a funk of some sort and need a break from everything for a few days.

Treadmill time for me yesterday and today...sigh...missing the open roads on my bike! :-)

oops forgot to write my minutes for yesterday - still sleeing I guess...

Mon: 105 min walk at the park (no running - Pushed hard on Sunday LOL)
30 min walk dogs
70 min mowing the lawn
30 min hiking in the woods w/the dogs. They love being off leash - they were pooped out when we got home.

Iwas afraid to mess with the Team gaol to change it to Sept. instead of Aug. I didn't know if we would lose what we already have so I thought best to just leave it????

I forgot to look on Sunday - does anyone know how close we came to the 15,000 minutes?
