Another softball rainout - bummer Kobe! I was actually gonna stand out in Rightfield if they didn't have enough players!

I managed to walk for 40 minutes today before the rains came...
hmnnn what does that make the team total?

Only got in about 30 min of volleyball practice more.
We ended up cutting a few trees down so I had some "gravy" taking care of about a ton of branches (town is going to hate me for all that chipping work I have out by the road) and then we had over friends.

Remember today is teh last day of June - let's get in some minutes folks. I know you are out there doing them - come on in here and "track" them LOL

We're at 7101!

I had an active day, including my last Tai Chi class. I shall miss it. The instructor teaches a longer program at a local church, but that doesn't start until the fall. emoticon

Shannon - are you tracking all your fitness minutes under the "Team Goals" on the main page? Because we can just let that total it for us. Silly me just realized it yesterday - only 24 days into the month (sharp as a tack I am huh!!)

According to that we were at 6051 (I think) and your 45 min brings us to 6096

I think because I logged my 30 min walk at lunch there but usually only post my total for the day here, either late evening or the next morning (want to get every min LOL)

Cmon new members - help us hit the 8000 number for the month of June!

alrighty then!

with all our new members - I am thinking (scary I know!!) that July we bump up to 10,000!!!!!!!?? more? less?

We have 6 days to finish out June - rock on team!

For July - Here is what has been mentioned we need to decide some or all...

~Lose 5"
~Walk/run (crawl - LOL) "x" amount of miles per week - 10 miles? is that too many? Avg. 2 mi /day 5 days a week?
~Exercise 10,000(?) min for the month (whole team - ha ha not individual)

We can still daily post our Calories and we can start a thread to post our daily "Pedometer Steps in July" shooting for 10,000/day - which fits well with the walk 10 miles a week goal.

and we will also try to get in our various "daily challenges"

What else? Don't want too many - LOL have to save some goals for Aug, sept, oct, etc.

I was just checking our goals and there are a few minutes posted there than on this thread the goal is at 5732/6000 so 59 minutes more.

9 of us have contributed to that number GREAT JOB TEAM!!!!! SO...we have 268 min left/7 days = 38.29 min per day/9 members = 4.25 min each to crush this goal!!!

WE CAN ALL GET IN 5 MIN A DAY - RIIIIGHT????

Darn lightning! It interfered with our plans, too. We left the track after only half an hour because of it. I was really enjoying my walk last night, but it was pretty scary so we left.

That stinks about the game - looks like some double headers to make up!

I did major gardening yesterday. My Aunt owns a greenhouse and gives us tons of flowers at the end of year before she composts them. So I spent a good 3 hours digging, weeding, carrying, watering and thinning carrots! I had to be careful because of my back, so it took a little longer.

I don't really consider this cardio but I was working hard -I will call it 60 minutes to add to the team.

I know it, too! Those are the moments that have me writing actual notes to myself so I can remember next time -- like, "Shannon, you never feel good after eating potato chips and dip, even if you think it's your favorite. Remember how gross you feel after eating them. You do not need potato chips and dip, and you really don't like the way they make you feel!" Of course, I have to do what my notes say for them to be useful, and I don't always follow their directions! If it weren't for french onion dip I could be a much stronger woman!


Oh yeah - forgot to add my minutes for last night! 72 minutes on the track plus 84 minutes Wii Fit and other.

I know that feeling - as I start to become more aware of how foods can affect me physically I am actually not wanting to even eat the bad foods. Those foods used to comfort me...well they still do - like the Brownie batter last nite - I scraped the bowl...yum!

I walked the dogs - 30 min and did my strength trng - 75 min last night, wanted to run but my belly was feeling a little off - I know it was the danish I ate - I don't know if it really mad me feel bad or my mind saying "shouldn't have done that" that made me feel bad. and on top of that it wasn't very good - ug and I ate it anyway - dork!

From the Help section:

If you cannot see your reports, it is because you are likely behind an Internet firewall. If you are behind a firewall you can try to open up Port 2005. This should allow you to see your graphs. Unfortunately we cannot provide more details on how to open this Port, since there are thousands of firewalls on the market today.

Question - I cannot get the "reports" to work on either my work computer or my home computer. (like on the "start" page if click "view progress" under fitness or nutrition). Is it something I need to enable or something I need to do to be able to get those charts?

Nurse G walked a mile yesterday! Not very quickly but steadily - no arm swinging. Walking buddies were very sweet to slow down with me.
Best part - no pain!

Another 30 minutes Wii Fit from Saturday plus 67 minutes yesterday.

I think we're up to 3725 minutes as a team now including Linda

My friend had a Golden Retriever named Ruger - I guess because her hubby was into Rugby! He was a beautiful dog! Enjoy...

The puppy (Ruger) loves to play, but isn't up for parks just yet - he's only 9 weeks old so he has little bursts and then sleeps for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, but I can use that time to do yardwork or workout. I have a feeling in about a month or 2 he'll have me running all over the place.

A NEW PUPPY! TERRIFIC!
There is a good way to get a workout. Since I got my dog, I have been much more active. Just taking her out to her little puppy playground means I climb stairs and walk around the house twice. I call it gravy of course! I also take her to River & Cole Park, she loves to swim.

6/15 - did 3 hours of yardwork. Weeding, mowing lawn and planting. I think I got it all in cardio - mowing lawn, strength training - carrying bags of tops soil for planting, resistence - weeding. Also had a cool down playing with the new puppy we got on Saturday.

Sunday 6/15 - 90 min walk(run) at the park in the morning. 120 min volleyball in the afternoon and a whole bunch of "gravy" in the middle - house cleaning, playing w/the dogs,laundry, etc
