No, I live in the country... about 25 minutes outside of Tulsa. In fact, I'm about 15 minutes away from any real town.

We have lots of deer and coyotes around as well. Just a few nights ago, it sounded like the coyotes were right outside by bedroom window.

Tjarrard ~ do you live in the city?

I live in Mission which is a suburb of Kansas City on the Kansas side. Chart shows that we should have the bluebirds too but I never see any in my backyard. I've been to some of the local parks and have seen them there.

I'm a bit north of Tulsa Oklahoma. From the chart I saw, they should be around all year, just never seem them, (or realized I've seen them)

I had one of my camera's with me, but I wasn't able to get a picture which was a bummer.

Wow that is so cool that you both saw one in the snow.

Can I ask where you are? I am in NW PA and the bluebirds hang out at my house all summer, however, they normally leave in the fall. We had a pair here yesterday though, male and female and we have a temperature of 12 right now with snow. I am wondering why they were here.

I had a very interesting thing happen to me today on my walk. I found a red breasted blue bird. Never seen anything like that at all, and with the snow it was setting on, he really stood out.

I've never seen anything like him before, so I looked him up (and thanks to Google) figured out it was an Eastern Bluebird. I looked up his picture, and sure enough, that's what I saw. Very cool!
