Awesome story, Lisa, and I hope Casey is okay! Too bad she had to get hurt like that. But your family and Casey in particular were the recipients of others' good Karma! Too cool, to be on the receiving end of the deal. And I'm sure you do help people and make them feel better about themselves.

Thanks for sharing!

Peace Out,
Sandy

This may not apply, but this is for all the good karma people have been sending my family's way since yesterday. Let me explain, my daughter was is her high school soccer teams state playoff game when a girl from the other team elbowed her very hard on purpose while both were going for the ball. Long story short, emergence room, 7 hours, needs oral surgury (s). You would not believe all the people who have called asking how Casey is, how the family is holding up and if there is anything they can do to help, this is including kids from school who Casey talks to but not in her inner circle of friends, parents, the emergency room dentist, the atletic director, and even one of the girls from the opposing team who was thoughtful enough to get Casey's cell number and call to see how she was doing because she knew she got hurt really bad. I am just flabbergasted at all the genuine concern from virtual stangers. There are nice people who care out there, I hope I can make a difference in someone's day like that.

Lisa

Good for you both! Giving of yourselves just plain rocks!!!

My neighbor across the street is soooooo depressed that she's claiming to be SICK for 3 or 4 months now. I took her over a little pretty I had and a coffee mug w/a hot chocolate in it and a bow on it. I wasn't expecting a smile, I thought she was too far down for that but I was wrong! I was very pleasantly surprised when she smiled and told me she would sit the pretty next to her bed (where she's been staying) and would drink and enjoy the cocoa! WooHoo!!!

Peace Out,
Sandy

Well....I don't know if this applies but I have a friend who can't spell to well and needs help. She also was having trouble getting her medication as she has no prescription coverage. So I offered to help her fill out the application and also go with her to Social Services to apply for Medicaid. She really didn't want to go alone as doesn't understand alot of it this way I can explain it later and help with any further papers she might need to fill out.

That is so sweet of you and very nice of your mechanic to lend you his car.

My dh and I were at the market the other day and in the frozen section there was a litte old lady, she couldn't have been more than four and a half feet tall. She was just standing there staring up a the frozen waffles on the top shelf. There was no way she was gonna get them without a ladder and people were just walking by her. My dh stopped and asked if he could reach something for her and he got her the waffles. She was very sweet thanking us and we continuted on with our shopping feeling very happy.

I am soooo sorry, team, that I am just now starting this thread. To be truthful I thought I had already done it and I was gonna post my good Karma for today and I discovered it just didn't exist! Shame on me, I start a Challenge and this is part of it and I forget to start a place to post all that good Karma!

Anyway, I hope you will post yours as this IS part of our challenge, and a very good part too, I might add! LOL Anyway, here's mine for today.

Our car is in the shop and our mechanic was thoughtful enough to loan us his car to go to Family Dollar and Kroger. Well, there was a little old lady standing outside Kroger and she was a little cutey, know the type? I made it a point to tell her how nice she looked and you should have seen the smile on her! She positively beamed, you would think that nobody ever compliments her! If not, shame on her neighbors and friends!!!

Peace Out,
Sandy
