Hubby and I were camping for the weekend. Actually we left Wednesday and got back today. I didn't exercise per say but did walk quite a bit each day.

hey sorry I fizzled on this challenge. Its been a week since we got sick at our house, and we still have the cough and runny nose. I swear I should get stock in tissues hehe. I will try to get some exercise in starting tomorrow.

I love the kettlebells, I feel like I get such a great workout in a short time! It's my answer to strength training, which I find boring!

WTG on the work out minutes! There's an activity I wish we could count as exercise, but I won't mention it here.....lol

Hey Crystal, how are those kettlebells? I read the article on them but I have that bum shoulder so I can't use them. Are they really all that?

Y'all will laugh but I got 155 minutes today. I only did my normal mile and I pulled with Shady for 20 minutes but I played DARTS! LOL I feel kind of guilty claiming a game but I do walk around all the time so I'm at least getting some fitness out of it.

Did a 50 minute walk and pulled with the dog. Also I cleaned for 30 minutes. But I was WAY under on my food! I'm just not hungry but I can't allow myself to go into starvation mode.

WOOHOOOOOO! I did good! I ate so light the rest of the day so I was able to have a serving of each, pork roast, mashed potatoes, broccoli AND cake! And I still came out under on my calories! I can tell, too, my wrists are nearly non-existant! ~grin~

Got my mile in ~ BRRRRR, the cold front has arriven! LOL Gonna have a rough time with the food today though. It's Ron's birthday and I got him MY favorite (his too), a chocolate cake mix w/chocolate icing! Uh-oh! I'll be good, I promise! I'm making him a pork roast, drippin's gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh broccoli. Wish me luck!

I walked a mile, pulled with Shady for 20 minutes and OMG washed the windows! Try that one-armed! LOL I dang-sure claimed it as fitness, my good arm is oh, so sore.

Ate good too! WooHoo. I have very skinny wrists and that's gonna work for me till I weigh in on the 29th!

Yepper, food does get thicker this time of year! Good luck with it. I'm drinking 12 cups of water a day and that seems to help a lot. I'm sloshing around too much to be that hungry! ~grin~

I can relate, guys! But I'm feeling lots better and I hope you all do too! Something about the change of seasons just makes lots of folks ill. At least it hasn't made us depressed, right? And that, my friends, is a very good thing!!!

I got my 31+ in yesterday and I ate good too. My wrists are sooooo skinny so I'm sure the weight is going away. Heck, my goal weight is 165 so I don't even have 20 pounds to go!!!

I haven't exercised since Tuesday the 7th. My company had inventory last week and I got home late from work those last three days. Then DH and I did a wine tour with another couple on Saturday, then by Sunday I just didn't feel good. I didn't work out yesterday either because I felt like I might be coming down with a cold.

So when I got home from work yesterday I opted to medicate and just rest. I'm glad I did because a do feel a touch better today. So hopefully I'll have something to report tomorrow.

I've been getting in 20 min of PT and walking Ben 20 min a day for most of the week....

I lost 2 of the 7 pounds I gained back over the last 2 weeks... so I'm in the 240's I was 241 at the start of the challenge and am 246 now... at this point I'm hoping to be back where I started by Halloween....sigh this is soooo not easy!!

Thanks Sandy, I'm on the mend as well, but not as quickly as I'd like.

I got in an hour on the treadmill Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and will again today.

However, due to some poor eatting choices I'm still at 174, same as last week.

I'm with you Sandy, while I won't get the 10 lbs gone, I at least went down, so that's good, cause I was stuck there for a while!

Thanks Crystal! I hope you're feeling better like I am! But I took too many days off on my walking, I don't have the stamina to do a mile quite yet. I'm working at it and I'm pulling with Shady so I'm getting my 31 minutes, just not much over that!

I don't think I'm gonna make my 10 pounds but I feel if I end up in the 170s, anywhere in the 170s, I'll be a winner! Cause I haven't weighed 170 anything for 14 years! WooHoo, 14 years!!!

The next challenge will be different, and hopefully a good one that y'all will like! I'll be posting it for your examination very soon!

I did an hour on the treadmill yesterday, and I'm down to 174!!! I'm getting there, about 1 lb a week! YEA!

thanks sandy, i will check those sites out. I did 40 min on tread yesterday. I will be doing a lot of chasing of the son today.(we have a birthday party to go to and son is on the latter end of 2.) hehe

Hi Melissa! With that turbo jam, you will kill those calories, that's for sure! And heck yeah, 4 hours walking around bending, stooping, lifting, twisting, carrying and putting up with a busy store counts! LOL Keep up the great work, you're doing it!!!

Oct 1, turbo jam 40 minutes
Oct 2, turbo jam 30 minutes
oct 3, no turbo, walked 4 hours shopping - does that count??
Oct 4, turbo jam, rocked it with 60 minutes!! woohoo!

i like that "full as a tick" thats pretty funny.
So how do you free click for a pedometer??
Last week was not good for me. this week I am exercising double, but am doing bad eating. I have to start eating a little better or else I won't lose a pound!!!

Hi y'all! Well I did better today than yesterday!!! I got my 2,249 steps walk (I free-clicked for a free pedometer) and I pulled with Shady for 20 minutes. BTW, the paperwork that came with the pedometer said 2,000 steps are about a mile and I walk for 30 minutes or so.
My mom's neighbor gave us 2 BIG boxes of canned food so I got a good bit of time, over an hour, sorting and rearranging my pantry. And, let me tell you, it is full!!! I also bought some whole wheat bread for me to eat this month. We go to the Wonder Bread day-old bread store up in Col's. And I did tell y'all that I lost a pound, right? Which, to be honest, surprised me. I gave in to temptation on Tuesday night and ate a BIG mushroom swiss burger! Worse, it came with a big order of fries and I ate every one! I was full as a tick and I thought I had undone all my hard work. So I was happy about that pound!

Y'all are kicking butt, too! I'm so happy about this challenge and I can't wait till the end of it to find out just how successful we are. Good luck, all!

Oh, I think I have us a good end of the year challenge. Let me tweak it a bit more and I'll run it by you, okay? There will be a thread for us to discuss it, I'll put it up really soon! I love this team, y'all ROCK!!!
